      Exterior

       it cannot be compared with I20 Elite. Front is decent enough looks better in top end with projecter handlamps and day time runnig LED, back looks  superbs! big windows makes it look better from side as well.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

        Interiors gives a feeling of big segment car. Nothing left to be added. Now maruti has introuce a car with international styling

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

      Baleno petrol doesn't get engine cover and heat insulation for exhaust outlet from engine which exposes the nearby wiring to high temperatures and I have noticed little melting of plastic covering of wiring.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       unstable ride at high speeds. Even this may be an issue.

      Final Words

       Immediately Maruti needs to correct the faults

       I think there is a issue with Baleno 2015 -

      Baleno petrol doesn't get engine cover and heat insulation for exhaust outlet from engine which exposes the nearby wiring to high temperatures and I have noticed little melting of plastic covering of wiring.

      Exterior Design is aweosme.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Spacious. comfortable if you travel in front seat.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gears are smooth, fuel economy i could found it as 12.44 in a test drive vehicle.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality and handling is nice.

      Final Words Think twice before you own this car for a family. driving comfort is awesome and no questions about it. However,you can feel vibration when you travel in the back seat.  Open the bootleg door inspect properly, in the upper part you could find poor finishing.

      Nexa are meant for premium cars and how can a baleno can be a premium car if you cannot travel comfortably in the back seat and finishing is not so good.

      Some people could feel that clutch is poorly designed and height of the clutch is high.

      Areas of improvement Clutch positioning and comfort at the back seat.

      Exterior Excellent but kya fak padta hai jab mileage hi nahi ahi.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Should have been of Biege Color.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox WORST FUEL ECONOMY- No one in NEXA is ready to take ownership/resolve my complaint -all time pass and time waste sweet phone calls only. Every will start giving you GYAN - how to drive - as if we dont know the driving - its been 35 years of driving experience.

      Ride Quality & Handling Too many features - they should expalin all features nicle and not in a hurry.

      Final Words Forget about / Beware of Fuel Economy for which Suzuki was known for. It should not be a problem for Suzuki to resolve the issue.

      Areas of improvement Fuel Economy / After Sales Service (Poor). Listen to customer/user complaints patiently - NEXA staff should not start giving GYAN to experienced custoemrs. Resolve the problem and move forward shouild be the thought process.

      I had done a lot of research before buying Baleno alpha. I had done test drive of i20 and Jazz too. Initially I was more attracted towards i20 because of its ride comfort. But then I realised, I have to pay around 40K more for i20, almost same features, very low fuel efficiency(i20) and higher maintance cost. Mileage is a big factor. I would like to share a personal experience. My friend bought i20 elite astha top varient. We both argue for which one is better. One fine day we went for a road trip of around 400Km (Kozhikode to Thiruvananthapuram). We both filled the fuel for 1500INR when it was in reserve. But he had to refuel it before reaching. Baleno reached the destination like a boss. For a rough calculation- 1500INR 400kms - I got an avg of 19kmpl. He was getting max 15kmpl.

      Exterior It actually depends on one's choice. Both are good looking. Overall good. I like the fluid flow design of Baleno but like the back of i20. People say because of its light weight it is weak. But hey thats the new technology. It uses high strength low weight material for better performance.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Both have almost same features. Baleno is more spacious than i20. But when it comes to interior built quality and comfort i20 wins hands down.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox There was lots of complaints regarding the suspension of Baleno. Well the good news is- Maruthy has resolved this issue 6months ago. So people who booked within this period won't face any suspension issue. I have to talk about honda jazz here because engine performance is better compared to i20 and Baleno. But m not a big fan about this car. Again personal choice. About Fuel economy no more words. Best in the segment.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is really good. But if you compare with i20. i20 wins in this segment. Handling both are neck to neck.

      Final Words An awesome premium hatchback car by Maruthy Suzuki. If you are confused between its rivals i20 and Jazz- My suggestion would be Baleno.

      Areas of improvement Interior built quality has to be improved. There should have been a manual volume adjustment knob.

      Recently I got delivery of Maruti Baleno Alpha model car on 28th April 2017, after a waiting period of 5 months, my enthusiasm was short leaved only to see the extremely poor quality of the car interiors. The plastic used in the interior is so thin that one doesn't need to exert any pressure to bend it. The overhead cabin light started moving from the original position from the very first day. The 5th wheel is not an alloy wheel. In this new car I have to pull up the hand break lever to its maximum on slope, which has never happened in my 7 year old Ritz car.  Looking at all these I would certainly like to invoke the return policy for this car if one existed. Even the registration process is not yet completed by the Nexa showroom. Had asked the Nexa contact person to arrange for vehicle inspection, for which the technitian are too busy for a visit.

      Exterior I really like the way the car is styled. Now appearance is subjective, but I really think that the baleno is a great design to come out of the Maruti Suzuki stable since the swift. We owned a Swift prior to the Baleno and really loved the Swift for what it offered. The baleno is definitely a one up on the swift in terms of looks. The DRLs on the alpha variant make the car stand apart in a crowd. The follow me home and lead me to vehicle feature apart from being functional, is a visual treat to look at. It is a large car at 3995 mm and with a height od just 1500 mm, it gives the car a crouching stance. I personally, like it.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior of the Baleno is a nice place to be in. There is ample space for 5 occupants with the driver. Sitting three abreast in the second row was never an issue, which previously was the case with the Swift. There is no rear AC vent, but the Auto AC unit does a decent job of keeping the car cool in hot temperatures.

      There are lots storage spaces within the cabin. The 1 litre bottle holders in the door pockets are very useful and practical. The centre armrest could have been longer as it is practically unusable while driving, but offers a storage area underneath. The glovebox is lit and so is the footwell. Both these should have been brighter as the current lighting doesnt seem adequate. The puddle lights underneath the doors are a nice touch and lights the way as you open the door. The auto dimming mirrors inside the cabin is also a nice feature to have. It is especially useful during the night.

      The infotainment system has to be the highlight of the Baleno. The touchscreen is very intuitive and sensitive to touch. With multiple media playing options like FM, Aux, USB, Bluetooth and Apple Carplay, you will never left wanting for more. Connecting your phone via bluetooth enables you to not only play the media, but also make and take voice calls. We made and took a few voice calls while driving and they worked very well. The voice command feature works well too and can be accessed from the steering wheel. The Apple Carplay function works seamlessly.

      The reverse parking camera is a boon. As the rear window is small, the view while parking this car is limited through that. The camera alongwith the parking sensors, however, make the job much more easier. The camera works brilliantly even in pitch darkness. The audio quality is decent with four speakers in the door and two tweeters. But pushing it hard strains the system. If you are an audiophile, you may want to opt for better speakers.

      The instrument cluster is another great feature on the Baleno, especially the LCD screen in the centre. It gives you so much information about the car. It also, beautiful to look at. :)

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The tried and tested 1.2 litre engine is an able performer. Though it is not really exciting to drive, the power delivery is linear and is easy to drive. I was pleasantly surprised with the fuel economy. On the highway, I got an average fuel economy of 21.5kpl which at its peak, touched 22 kpl. I guess over time, this will only get better, as I work the engine more. The gearbox is another feature of the Baleno which I love. It is soft to touch and shift gears effortlessly. You can practically change gears with one finger. It is butter smooth.

      Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is one area of the Baleno which I am a bit underwhelmed with. The suspension setup on our Swift was much better than what it is on the Baleno. You really have to slow down to first gear to pull the car out of a pothole. Even small dents on the road filter into the cabin, which takes away from the premium feel of the car. I really wish Maruti addresses this issue in the later versions of the Baleno.

      That said, the handling, again is a breeze. The steering is light on slower speeds which makes manouvering the carin traffic an easy affair, though it is a fairly large sized car. On higher speeds, the steering gathers some weight which is good in a way.

      Final Words Apart from the Suspension, there is very little to complain about, in the baleno. Yes the plastic quality inside the cabin could have been better, but for me, that would be nitpicking. If you own and have driven costlier cars, you may bedisappointed with the Baleno. But if you, like me are coming to Baleno from a smaller car, or even if it is your First car, you will love it for what it is. Being a MAruti Suzuki, it really is a value for money.

      Areas of improvement Suspension setup needs a lot of improvement. Also the interior plastics and some better materials to be used on the inside.

      Overall Styling, Space, Infotainment System, interior lighting, DRLs, Fuel Economy, Instrument clstrSuspension, Speaker Quality could have been better

      Exterior: Bought premium silver alpha petol on 1st Nov. without any booking... wow...its similar to costly cars like audi n bmw etc.. new color.. DRL'S, projector headlamps, stunning looks...best in segment

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): best space in category. in i20 we felt claustrophobic (poor design). premium seats, 7 inch nav system, all stylish features..best in segment..no cost cutting like they did in JAZZ

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: as its 100 kg less..  engine pickup is much better than jazz, swift and i20 petrol. 

       

      Ride Quality & Handling: 195 alloy tyres.. hold road much better than jazz n i20..jazz tyres are much smaller, as if you are driving a bajaj scooter.

       

      Final Words IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BUY A HATCHBACK...JUST GO FOR IT...DONT WASTE MONEY ON JAZZ OR I20... NO COMPARISON. MARUTI IS MARUTI.. IF U DONT BELIEVE ME JUST VISIT NEARBY NEXA..

      I test drove i20, jazz but finally zeroed on BALENO. Its loaded with great features which we normally find in luxury cars only. The Interior black upholstery, the exterior look, the stance, the comfort everything is perfect. All features work fluidly without problem. Voice communication feature is top class. It recognizes all commands given by different people. MID is absolutely stunning with gear shift indicator. I had booked my BALENO ALPHA 1.2 RAY BLUE COLOUR in the month of December 2016 and got delivery in May 2017. They told me June but delivered in May. The NEXA experience in NAGPUR was perfect and no issues whatsoever. To sum up the car is perfect and NEXA experience perfect. BRAVO. There is absolutely no problem with the shock absorber. While giving delivery the air pressure was 42 PSI in all the four tyres and I reduced it to 29 PSI as per manufacturers user manual and it is absolutely fine and no problem with the shock absorber. I am totally satisfied with the vehicle and I can say that I have taken the right decision to buy this car.GOOD EXTERIOR, GOOD INTERIOR, BLACK COLOUR INTERIOR IS FANTASTIC, GOOD STYLE, HIGH STANCE,NOTHING

      Exterior The design of Baleno Alpha is wonderful. The daytime running LED lamps, rear design and rear LED lamps are too good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior is so spacious.. good leg room, nice comfort for driving.. I loved the Apple Play system alot. Bluetooth n GPS are working superbly. Multi Info Instrumental Cluster is really awesome.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The performance of the Baleno is really good for City & Highways.. I have ride few hundreds of Kilometers, getting an average of 17.5 KMPL even riding at 130-140 KMPH. This is really too good. The intial pickup is a bit less compared to its competitors. But, braking and performance are good enough.

      Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is really awesome especially for long rides. I'm enjoying alot with my BALENO.. The handling of this car is fentastic, with ABS.

      Final Words Besides poor plastic interiors, still feel Good value for money because of its features, performance & handling.

      Areas of improvement The interior plastics used, & Suspension could be even smoother.

      Exterior Exterior look is supurb it looks like a big car. The day light lamps makes the looks fabulous. Nice aerodynamics nice body style. It feels happy when you ride this car.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lots of space given to this car. nice combination black and silver.nice plastic material used for dashboard. GPS touch screen everything is excellent. and the driver belt feels comfortable. it fells likes someone is holding us. large windows gives us nice view. tint glass and good cabin space for legs. overall the interior is fantastic. I think this is the best from maruti. It feels like sitting in a big car. Final words The cars interior looks luxury.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is average. Fuel economy is poor its giving 15 in highway and gearbox is excellent.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is supurb and handling is so easy.

      Final Word Overall the car is good. Especially the interior and exterior.

      Areas of improvement Breaking system is very poor, millage, and more important thing is servicing should be improved.
