Exterior

 Without doubt this car has great looks... looks like a car, not a jeep. Has a solid body as compared to other cars. Only one rear light switches 'ON' while reversing back, I think its a Volkswagen trademark style.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Again interiors are also of very good quality, although they look simple. The dashboard, music system, all are quite sober  as compared to other cars like Hyundai, Ford etc. Beige colour interiors look very nice. Music system lacks some very important USB/AUX port. But CD player and Radio are fine.

Space inside is OK. But visibility outside from driver's seat is very average. Was difficult to drive earlier on, but now it is ok, if very fine driving is not required.  But this is expected as this car is 'car' like not jeep type.

Seats are comfortable. 5 persons can fit in, but 4 are comfortable.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 So far there are no complaints, although it is noisy as compared to other cars like Suzuki, Nissan. Although some people may feel engine noise as 'Sporty'

Economy 12-15 km/l.

Gearbox is very good. Very easy to change gears. Reverse gear is in 'front' of 1st gear and not after 5th as in other cars, another VW feature. 

Ride Quality & Handling

 Very good. Although I have not driven many cars, but it is quite good.

Final Words

 Overall, its a good package, in 6 lacs.

Areas of improvement  

 Music system can be improved. Better rear view mirror, seat adjustment to improve outside visibility.

 

Looks are good, built quality is very good, has an appeal of expensive car, good ride qualityoutside visibility is poor from driver's seat, no height adjustment, noisy engine

Exterior Super cool and I have a glacier blue color which to me looks amazing...trendline model has only white and red options which is disappointing. Very robotic and aerodynamic design...the low height is believe to lower the drag while on hig speeds.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent I feel, not to compare any other maruti, hyundai's even skoda's....ask for company fitted seat covers only. Comfortable seating and adjustable seats. Driver seat height adjustable which is very good. Also steering is also height adjustable.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Cool gear shift, 12-13 kmpl in the city and a very slient engine while on road.

Ride Quality & Handling Havent driven other cars, only shifted from alto but I think this is best in class

Final Words Go and buy one. If u have more money to spend and will have more running to do then go for diesel. else petrol is good. Also go for reverse parking sensors.

Areas of improvement None I think. But while buying get everything confirmed from the sales person.

Exterior Excellent design and great driving experience, very stable at high speeds, excellent controls, after a long time we see an elegant looking small car on the roads  compare to ugly swift, beat, santro etc.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Classic, stylish, elegant interiors with comfortable space for 5 passengers, rear leg room bit less compare to other vehicles of its class but ample boot space for luggage which is really a gift for a family outings

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearboxas excellent controls at high and low speeds very responsive and smooth gear shift but  shaky start of engine and engine noise is a negative factor in comparison to other competitors of its class like i-20.

Final Words Good car, as expected from german technology value for money and most important is the brand value.the most important thing is low maintenance and you have to visit the service centre only once a year.  GOOD AND SATISFYING MACHINE.

Exterior Very eye  catching. paint work superior got teflon coating done from showroom.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Plastic etc and storage space good. The driver's seat can be adjusted four ways up, down front back great for a 6ft 2 inch man like me.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Low mileage gives 13 kms to a litre in city. The VW web site mentions 19 kms to a lite on a petrol engine. But that just does not seem to happen. I checked with the dealer and was told that 13 Kms was pretty good. But then contrasted with say the Wagon R or Zen Estilo this car is a fuel guzzler. I don't really mind since I basically wanted a VW-POlO for years and was always a fan of German auto engineering.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

 

Final Words Worth the price.

 

Areas of improvement Very shabby customer service especially Volkswagen South Delhi (in South Extension) from where I bought the car. I believe this is a common complaint.

Exterior No doubt it is ossom. Only problem is lot of seating space for dust and mud at the rear side.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Wonderful. Good utilization of space. Enough leg space. All the gadgets are well managed. Integrated music system is really good. Very less areas to complain. Individual door locking is must for a family car. Though the central locking prevents the door opening from outside, but there is no way you can prevent accedental door opening from inside when the vehicle is in motion. Dash board is superb.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I got the delivery just 6 days back and immidiately on weekend I had a round trip from Mumbai to Pune. Before buying the car I had a little doubt about engine performance specially for pickup as I was comparing it with Swift. No doubt Swift engine delivers more power, but Polo 1.2 is no where found underpowered. Gear shift is also ossom. I specially liked the mechanism of reverse gear - Push down to the position of 1st gear. Fuel economy is too early to comment on.

Ride Quality & Handling Mind blowing ride quality. Earlier, I have been driving Maruti 800. Driving from Mumbai to Pune was hectic some times if we go without halt. Driving Polo never make me feel of halt during journey.

Final Words No doubt, after all its German engineering which makes POLO ossom. But bringing car over Indian roads requires some modifications.

Areas of improvement Door Lock is must. The bonnet could be a bit smaller. There should be some provision so that rats dont enter inside the bonnet and spoil the wiring.

Comfort, Style, Space UtilizationNo individual door locks, too much empty space in bonnet

Exterior Very good - nice look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are not so great. leg space in all the seats- very crunchy- literally you have to push inside the seat.  If you redesign the height of the vehicle it would be  great .  Lots of dust gets inside the car from the door as it does not have air tightness.  It is A BIG HEAD FOR ME BECAUSE IS YOU TRAVEL IN MUDDY  OR DUSTY ROADS (Indian Roads)  by the time you rteach your destimnation you feel like you travelled in a bullockcart.  (Company Design Team Can Do Some thing about it).

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Egine is bit noisy in the initial stages.  Fuel economy -  average - OK Type NOT A GREAT PERFORMANCE.

Ride Quality & Handling Nice and overall it is good.

Final Words  A good Car - excepty in the some of features mentioned above - LIKE DUST FACTOR - and LEG SPACE.

Areas of improvement DUST FACTOR PLEASE LOOK INTO IT - PLEASE.

Really it is one of the best in its look in the class,the leg space and the height and interiors like the mats
