      Ride Quality & Handling There seems to be some inbuilt problem with wheel alingment. Car tends to swirl to left always. Our dealer in chennai says its not correctable and questionsour driving.

      Final Words We had tried different dealers for servicing the problem. Noone seems to care about the problem. We had to make umpteen trips evento get back our original id proofgiven for regisstration fo vehicle. Never go for the vehicle until tested and areas of concern improved. Volkswagen india has to recall all defectiv vehicles and change defective pars immediately. we have baely driven the vehicle for 3000kms. When we tried to servie the vehicl with a different dealer. They noiticed grevious problem in front and rear wheels. They again retained the vehicle for another one week and r still to deliver it. After having purchased the vehicle after waitin for almost 8 months, i am forced to travel in acab for almost a month.

      Areas of improvement Overall performance of cars. dealersattitude towards customers.

      The shock absorbers are too bad. They are not meant for indian conditions. My car makes a thud noise everytime it lands in a pothole. Something seriosly wrong the way it is designed.

      At times the brakes make some jerking noise and the braking system is not efficient

      Even nail scratches are visible on the body. The paint cannot withstand minor scratches.

      If there are more than 3 people in the car the car A/c goes for a toss. The auto climate control advertised is all "GAS".

      Dont go by the advertised 20 kmpl for diesel. U r lucky if u get 13 kmpl!

      The dealership is pathetic. I took the car from VW Downtowm ( Shaman Cars), Prabhadevi Mumbai. Once the car is delivered they do not attend to your calls. They have still not delivered my original RC :( even after 7 months and followoing up with only results in new reasons on what is taking time. Highly incompentent people!

      Design, Pick Up,Inefficient A/C, Bad Shock absorbers, Too much Engine noise, Bad paint quality, Bad Braking sytem

      Exterior is good rather can say attractive.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features are different then the other cars of same range available in the market. Space is also good.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Not driven long so cannot commant on the car performance. Same for Fuel economy as I have driven 1000Km and that to in small trips. So I have no commant on fuel economy.Gearbox is sometimes difficult as we are used to Indian cars. Otherwise I don`t see any problem in Gear system.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Like.

       

      Final Words What to say about a world class manufacturer delivering a car with runnng left side and wind sreen is crack without any hit within 4 months of delivery and covered just 1000 KMs even we chosed the highest model.

       

      Areas of improvement Company should check the quality of the car before delivering it.The car has not been tested for long time on the road by users, still, We chosed the car becuase of the Brand only. Now I am realising that time tested vehicles shuold be purchesed for our hard earned money.

      Exterior Door Handle should be chrome finished in Highline Version, Mirror Indicator with Power Folding Facility in Highline Series.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) USB Supported Music System and there must be option for Leather Interior in highline series, AC Blower is Noisy at 2nd Move. it must be corrected in coming future.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Very good and smooth, AT should be with Paddle shift in highline Auto transmission mode at extra cost or as an option pack.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Very good ride & Handling.

       

      Final Words Threre are still some areas of improvement as the competition offers. especially mitsubishi cedia previously offered four wheel Disk Break with EBD, Chrome finished Door Handle etc at the same price in Select Version. some decorative accessories shouldd also be availalble at dealer's counter.

       

      Areas of improvement Rear Disk Break with EBD as it is generally in every car of this segment, AC Blower Noisy even in 2nd point.

      Exterior Good exterior . But not compareble to soem of the competive Brands . It should have been classy for this Brand.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very very poor . Front dash board is not designed properly. Whole space is wasted. No place to keep your papers, Mobile, and oteh rbelongings. Only one chelf provided for  keeping things. Bottle space is very poorly desinged. No place provided for Mobile etc. Rear View from both side mirror and centeral mirroe is very poor.

      Rear Window glasses control is not available with driver . Rear window glasses doesn't go fully down , which is veyr bad.

      Front Glass cleaing wiper can't be lifted easily. which was simplest of all, Interiors doesn't meet expectations of WV brand, it is very very porr quality. Space utilization is veyr poor.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good. Fuel Economy is poor.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good.

      Final Words Not meeting Brand expectaations. Interiors are very poor. Even Basic Features are missing. Expect thet at least basic features must be activated in our Car.

      I purchased volkswagen Vento Highline petrol car ( WVWD11607BT054232, CLS 069007, 65751) which was delivered to me on 25th May 2011 from Frontier Autoword Gurgaon. On my first trial of the car itself  I noticed a problem with gear shift, problem disappeared after sales person asked me to restart the car so I didn’t bother much and thought it could be because of new geras. However during few days of driving I realized that it was definitely a problem and went to  volkswagen workshop at Gurgaon. Attendant at the center confirmed me that the problem was genuine as a lock or clip was not put in during the assembly of the car. How can such a defect escape which can be life threatening  the quality checks Seems Volkswagn is not following  any quality standards when it comes selling cars in India.

      Worst thing is that Volkswagen accepts that it was an assembly mistake but is still not ready to replace my defective car with a defect free car. Certainly they follow different quality standards and practices in India.

      Exterior The vento has very elegant exteriors. From far it might look like any other sedan, but when viewed closely every part of the car seems to be very well thought out when designing. The exteriors are neither too dull nor too loud/aggressive ... "elegant" is probably the right word.

      Also the car gives a very solid feel ... lives upto the reputation of German cars.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The car is very spacious - a spacious boot space and spacious rear seats. I got the original vento brown seat covers which really give the interiors an uplift ... would strongly recommend those for anyone who buys a vento, it gives the car an almost all leather type feel.

      The A/C for the rear seats is awesome, I haven't seen it in any car of this segment. Also, I love the armrest ... driving this car is a pleasure. The controls on the drivers seat do seem a little simple ... but I don't mind that given all the other things it has to offer.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It has been almost a month since I got the car, I believe it is giving me around 13.5 kmpl (trendline petrol) which is awesome ... My monthly budget on fuel is pretty much the same when I compare with the esteem (2002) model that I had earlier.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is awesome ... to the degree that i don't feel like taking any call when I am riding my vento. The engine hardly makes any noise (inside or outside) ... a little bit when accelerating. The ride is very smooth especially when you have one hand on the armrest :-) I am enjoying every moment that I drive this car.

       

      Final Words "The" car for mid sedan segment entering into the luxury sedan arena. I got mine at 7.75L on-road from Volkswagen Gurgaon. For this price ... I think the car is a steal. There are so many people that have stopped me to ask about the vento (thanks to volkswagen's strong marketing) ... it really is one of those cars that gives people something to talk about :-)

       

      Areas of improvement Not much really ... maybe the driver controls / dashboard could be a little more flashy, other than that ... all is well.

      I bought a black Volkswagen Vento TDI (KL 62A 6660), Chassis No: WVWH12604CT062958 on 06/09/2013 from Kottayam EVM VW showroom. Soon after I took the car a series of misfortune happened starting with the A/C failure, paint job and currently the diesel leak from the overflow pipe along with severe engine vibration. 

      Soon after I took the delivery of the car, I had problems with A/C. The air-conditioning system would which was rectified after a series of checkups in both Kottayam and Trivandrum service centres. On 03/02/2014, while on a reasonably long trip with my family to Trivandrum, my vehicle's engine started to vibrate vigorously and all of a sudden the engine and engine management warning lights flashed and the vehicle stalled in the middle of the highway. When I lifted the hood, i could see diesel leakage all over the engine block and around the injectors. It was a Sunday and I was stranded with my family consisting of ladies in a highway and I had to hire a Taxi and send them back home. I had to call the roadside assistance and registered a complaint to VW helpline, complaint No: CAL35708. They assigned me to Trivandrum VW, where they took 2 days to rectify/replace the so called faulty diesel overflow pipe. I took the car and then again after 2 days, i.e, on Thursday midnight, again with my family (after a function) I experienced the very same problem. On inspecting myself I saw that the overflow pipe on the 3rd injector was loosely clipped. Inorder to get my family back home I plugged the pipe into the injector with my own bare hands (hot engine and fumes). I registered a complaint again, Complaint No:RSB17851 and my car was towed to Kottayam VW for inspection. After 2 days of scrutiny they found a faulty lock pin and changed it. Soon after I took the delivery of the car, I found irregularities in the engine RPM at idle condition. This was a case of concern for me.  Again the vehicle stalled while I was in Trivandrum on 02/02/2014, due to severe engine vibration. This time the Roadside assistance (Ref No. 2514102661) took 2 hrs to respond a case which was barely 10 kms away from the Trivandrum VW. After waiting for 2 hrs, I eventually had to drive the vibrating car by myself to the service centre. Again, Thank You VW, for your wonderful Assistance. They took 1 whole day and eventually found a faulty injector which was replaced. This time I did not place any complaint to VW because I realized it as an utter waste of time and energy. After 2 days i.e, on 06/02/2014, I began to notice the irregularity in idle RPM, which started to rise. I contacted the Kottayam VW and asked them to take away the car. I had to cancel my appointments due to this mishap. Now, they provided me with an alternate drive for my daily uses and the technicians there might me standing around my car and having a heated discussion on how diagnose the car. Poor, inefficient VW. Being a behemoth in auto industry, doesnt these guys feel ashamed of themselves? Puny in front of Indian brands, i must say.
      How can I rely on this car and drive along with my family? The car has just done around 7000kms. What should I do with this car? It is a real pain to me! I have lost faith in this vehicle and company, Volkswagen AG. I no longer feel safe with your vehicle and your technical expertise, after sales services and quality are the worst compared to the so called local manufacturers. Either replace the car or pay me back my money and keep your car. I expect an answer to my grievance.  ordinary car.... ntng muchA/C fault, Diesel leak, faulty injectors, bad wirings.....

      Exterior No one can comment on its exterior looks, You bet!!! Since I baught the Trendline Vento TDI, I just got the door handles and the mirrors painted so it blends well with the body color.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Sufficient and very neat finish, one has to check its finish with his own eyes to spot any areas that VW guys have left unattended, you bet again. Its simple yet great!!!

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox What could you expect from a diesel car which wrooms on the road just like a sports car. I have driven this @ 180+ and felt still so silent and performing. I have also driven this at 4th grear in 40 kmph in city and the car can still take it so neat without any engine noise variations. The only feeling is during cold nights i have felt the engine noise a bit prominent. secondly when i start the car after 14+ hours of halt its engine takes about 2 mins to get stable. one has to be patient then, its quite odd, but 2 minutes of life can be given for a silky treatment on the road later. Finally I would say I am proud to drive the best engines any body could imagine.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling Just drive it to feel it, I am a bit in love with my car. It treats your back very well when you are driving long distances.

       

      Final Words Any driving professional would love this car, I was driving a Baleno earlier and Now my investment in getting VW Vento TDI is worth it.

       

      Areas of improvement Dealer experience was pathetic, I got this car from Volkswagen Palace cross Bangalore. But I would not bother on this much because I like the car.

       

      Killer looks and overall styling and comfort with loads of space, great milage and amazing pick updealer experience

      I bought my volkswagen vento in feb 2012.till jan 2014 car is fine.in jan i saw car was jerking and coil type light flashed. I taken to work shop. Service ppl said there was minor electrical issue. and they said it is cleared using diagnostic system. again in march I got same issue. This time they said fuel injector problem.and if issue raises again the injectores need to be changed. The say the problem is due to bad deisel in car.how funny these guys are. same deisel I am using for my other cars. I am not facing any problem since 10 years. I need my fuel injectors to be replaced with free of cost because it is a manufacturing defect.

      Pls dont buy this car. german ppl selling defective cars in india. Even company has no answers for complaints we raise. They will simply blame on us saying desiel in the car is not good one. Volkswagen ppl should satrt deisel shops for good fuel.

      Pls dontdont dont buy any volkswagen cars. Surely everypne will suffer after 2 years of time u buy that.
