Exterior As good as Toyota can get :-). Toyata is known for safe designs, this is no exception. Compared to cars in it's competition (D'zire, Manza, Accent, ...) this is the better looking car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Features: Fairly loaded, even the lower variants have all the safety features (as an option). I don't miss climate control but Toyota should consider adding electrical ORVM as an option. The interior plastics could do with better feel though quality is good and made to last. Space: Very spacious, most spacious in it's class. Rear seat has excellent space, a true 5 seater. Comfort: High on comfort, good alround visibilty, cabin spacious and airy.
Engine Performance, Fuel economy and Gearbox Engine performance is excellent; highlight of the car. Very driveable, pleasure to drive in the city. Fuel economy is good (aroung 12KMPL in town). Gearbox is smooth. Though initially reverse was rough, the problem is gone with use.
Ride Quality, Handling and Steering Ride quality excellent, surprising for a light weight car. Handling is good when driving below 100KMPH. At higher speeds, handling gets nervous and steering too light. Steering is light and makes life very easy when driving in traffic conditions. The turning radius is small making the car easy to manuover.
Final Words An important product for Toyota to introduce in India- light weight, economical to run and spacious. With Toyota's reputation for quality, I'm sure the product will do well in the long run. It ticks almost all the right boxes. There are areas of improvement, Toyota hopefully will address them in the subsequent launches.
Areas of improvement Competition has better interiors- something toyota should improve and make the interiors feel better.
