Exterior Very good design from Tata motors. Back end finishing, especially roof joining with the boot lid is awesome.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Harman infotainment rocks, very good leg room and head room. have a decent boot space. GPS integration is a plus.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is very good, especially sport mode in ighways is a plus. AMT box is very smooth, though, gear shift can be noticed, the shift is smooth. I get 14.5 kmpl in bangalore city and 21 kmpl in highways at 100 kmph with full AC.
Ride Quality & Handling Active return steering give good control over the EPA steering. Handling the car is comdfortable. Cornering stability gives good control over hill terrains in hairpin bend.
Final Words For the least costing diesel automatic this is best value for money car. this car will suit for both city ride and highway trips.
Areas of improvement Bottle holder could be designed properly. could have added a camera for reverse parking which is integrated with music system display. 'A' pillar could be designed better. Reverse camera could be integrated with Harman system.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Using ZESt since April 2016. Engine performance is very good but sometime it gives the feeling that engine should have had little more power specially when you are driving in 3rd gear and above. Fuel economy is perfect. On highway in ECO mode one can extract the mielage upto 19 KM per ltr or even sometimes more. In city one can obtain the mielage about 14 KM per ltr comfortably in normal traffic. Gearbox is smooth but little harse when you are changing it to reverse gear.
Ride Quality & Handling Soothing, comfortable and fantastic. You will feel the worth of it especially if you go for long drive.
Final Words It can compete with any vehicle of her class/Segment and will definitely stand ahead at final destination.

Nice Headroom .Legroom, 3 person can easily accomodated on backseat for long journey... Many times completed 500 + kms in a single day but never tired with driving. Real comfort with driver friendly features like voice commands for set temps , calls etc. The seats are really good.

Nice slient Engine, Really good performer ..Fuel Economy is amazing which quite responsive with driving skills .. Many times I got economy around 30 KMPL .. Even yday I got around 30 KMPL with Automatic climate control on for 60 + Kms on the Ahmadnagar - Shirdi Highway and 28.7 KMPL for 160 + KMs with Automatic climate control on with 2 people +lugguage full bootspace and few bags on Backseat.
Really nice engineering work done with Zest , I have bought around 30 Nov 15 today I have finished 23500 kms + . I am quit happy with the car.
City fuel economy 14 - 16 with AC .
Highway fuel economy 22 - 30 Km/l with AC depend on the driving speeds .
We (Zest owner friends)have droven simultanuously Zest XT and got 30 kmpl multiple times. Really satisified with the Zesty performance.

Excellent Ride quality on really bad quality rural roads, i am weekend farmer so I need to visit many villages with bad road conditions. We are really happy with excellent ride quality and handling.

Engine performance impressive, I have driven 650 Km in single stretch with 100% AC, average speed of 80km/hr I have managed 22Km/l.

It is the best sedan in this segment and VFM vehicle. on roads observed everybody is interstingly watching vehicle. some examples iam quoting here.
1) while filling fuel petrol bunk lot of other vehicle owners enquiring.
2) while ordering seat covers and accessories shop owner interestingly enquiring.
3) Iam following school bus to overtake in bus small kids quoting loudly super car.
4) Till date I have competed 1500 Kms in 10 days period without any problems and any negative comments from my well wishers, colleagues , friends and neighbours.
Iam proud to be owner of Tata Zest QJT XT red colour.

Nil, why some customers are quoting facing some problems I am sorry for that but this problems are not applicable to overall tata zest cars rinning on road. Tata customer care service for zest is very responsive hope they will resolve those issues shortly.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) was impressive in first view but on use fing tiring to use on long drives, shaky back seat, worst quality of sound system, it hangs, buttons change command, back sensor delay, poor head light, poor plastic, non available spares, poor service network, worst customer care.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is ok but average is 12 km in city and 18 on highway at 80-90 km/speed which is less compared to similar cars
Ride Quality & Handling Back seat passenger feels jerks. Location of race is such that foot is located at an angle due to poor thy suppor , makes tiring for long travel. Head lights are poor.
Final Words Do not buy any Tata car due to poor service network, customer care and spares supply.
Areas of improvement Customer care and quick response is missing. I gave faults during my first service and repeated at subsiquent service, no body takes feed back. On complaint, no body have record of previous services. No reminder for service. No information given about what was done during service. Over all total mess.

Good finish and good quality materials used in the cabin bulit, nice insulated cabin which makes hard to guess to such a level that it is difficult to tell if the engine is in on or off mode(petrol), 3 can sit on the rear without any issue at all and good leg room no problem on long journeys at all, the air bags are included only for 7 lakhs on road for both driver seat and copassenger makes it a safe car, in bulit security alarm is cool and secure,

Exterior The car is feature loaded, with high performance and superb looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I found that there was rear was very spacious, good in cabin noise isolation, Excellent music system.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best in class. I compared it with swift desire and excent. Iniially I was hesitating and planning to take polo since both are priced at the same range. After I took a test drive of this and the new VW polo, I removed VW polo from my list (main cause was the rear seat comfort).
Ride Quality & Handling Clutch is very light, Again this was compared to polo. you get a sense of stability while driving in high speeds. No body roll at all. Could not test the corner stability as there was no proper roads in chennai to test it.
Final Words Simply the best. Hatsof to TATA. I made my booking soon after my test drive was done. i never took time to change my decision. According to me this car was the best car in the segment.(Compring it with Swift Dzire, Chevorelete Sail , Hyundai Xcent, Vw Polo, Hyundai i20 elite, Maruthi Swift).
People have a wrong openion about the TATA cars for their make, customer service, After sales service. I believe that tata has taken a huge leap to make a great come back to the market.
Final Words.: Have a test drive to beileve it. Its no longer old tata car.Its a new game changer for TATA.
Areas of improvement Rear defigger was provided ony in top end variant. hope they make it standard in all varitants like how ABS is standard in all models ( except the initial base variant).
