Exterior Experior styling is good & competitive in this segment.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is more than sufficient & giving good feeling on long driving.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Turbo charger response time is a littel far. it requires a RPM bench to start. Otherwise engine performance is good but comparative more noise. Fuel econimy is perfect on this size sedan. I am getting 18KMPL on mix driving. Gearbox handling is as similar to the Maruti products. You have to apply more force compartive to Honda, Verna or Laura.
Ride Quality & Handling This is the perfect point I have felt. In last three weeks of purchase I have driven more than 2250kms, includes single day return of 300kms sometimes. I have not tired & feld exhasted as generally happens during driving. But more important, I feel that braking on high speed is a littel poor & felt that vehicle is waving.
Final Words This is a perfect vehicle on this budget & No one can go beyond the German Technology.
Areas of improvement Locks should be operatble from inside too. Brakes are need to be improve as the response time is very poort on braking on high speed.

Final Words I am not going for Skoda, as all reviews and feed back i got says after sales service is worst.
Product is good, just that it is with the wrong hands. My friend parked his car out side the service station for a whole day and not even taken inside the garraige. For him he is too concerned aboout parking under sun.
A car woner will not be able to take the car for service coz of the treatment, whcih is important for this segment!!!!
There are people who sell 3 fold of cars than Skoda, and they are taking and leaving the car at home after service.
Still cant resist turning to any Skoda rapid. But made a tough decesion not to go for Skoda and booked Verna.
Areas of improvement After sales Service and customer relationship. In every review and ratings, you should add stars for after sales service as a first point.

Last year i purchased my Fluidic verna on august month. this is my first sedan car, I did many research and done all test drive everything. I drove, VW vento, Rapid, SX-4, verna and Honda City. But, there were a tight call between VW vento, City and new verna. But, i chosen to stick with verna for simple reason for supply chain, average cost of spare parts, and good service after sales. Before i buy, i knew that VW vento and Rapid had a edge over the verna on a performance and ride quality. By exterior and interior with the features verna had a overwhelming advantages. ride quality of verna at higher speed is give out the feel of jerky beyond 150Km/Hr+, at below 150Km/Hr no issues.After 6 months I had a Rat bitten at my vehicle, as soon as I wnt they fixed within 2 hours. Very next week I had a same rat brtten on A/C wire and A/C was not working. Again I went they fixed within half and hour and they did not charge me anything. Alos, one time I had done with 3rd service, I was not happy with the interior cleaning. I lodge a complaint, one person came from hundai service and he fixed everything at my home visit. They delight the customer with the service. Please think before you but about the service , spares cost and support for any brand. Because, these same reason Fiat failed in india despite theay are having decent car. I am not asking you to buy the hyundai car, buy the car where you have good after service after sales.

Exterior Exterior of the car is definitely makes it stand among the best looking cars in it's segment. front chrome grill is rather handsome, and so is the design of it's headlight....it gels well with the front of the car. the headlight intensity, though, is below average.....it's just not bright enough. The v-line on the bonnet, the crease line on the doors, the slight ridge at the end(rear) of the boot, the C - formation in which the tail lights glow, and the alloy wheels; all look quite handsome.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interiors look pretty premium, seats are supportive and spacious, and the design and style of the dash and instrument panel doesn't have anything to complain about either. Problems areas are.
1. the rear parcel tray would have looked better if it were not plasic, and if it were a little flatter(making it more useful).
2.there could have been keyless entry and go.
3.the indicator and wiper stalks should have been on the right side.
4. it should have had electrically retractable side mirrors.
5.music system should have been better.
6. the A/C should have had an OFF switch instead of the rotary button.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It is the best bit of the car. the diesel engine and the gearbox are well matched. gear shift has short and precise throws, and power delivery is addictive and satisfying. the only thorns here are the slight whine from the gearbox at low speeds, and the clatter of the diesel engine at idle. fuel economy is satisfactory enough at 14.2 kmpl overall.
Ride Quality & Handling The only car that handles and rides better in this segment (at this price) is the ford fiesta. the steering lacks a bit in feel, and is a bit light for highway speeds.
THE ONE THING THAT IS SHOCKING IS THE NOISE FROM THE SUSPENSION AT BOTH FRONT AND REAR(MORE SO AT THE REAR). THERE IS A LOUD, INTRUSIVE, AND EMBARRISING(IF YOU HAVE PASSANGERS) THUD EVERYTIME THE SUSPENSION(SHOCK ABSORBERS) REBOUNDS(SHOCK ABSORBERS OPENS AFTER GETTING COMPROSSED). IT FEELS AS IF SOME SUSPENSION COMPONENT HAS BROKEN.
Final Words SKODA MUST, MUST, MUST AND MUST DO DOMETHING TO CORRECT THE SUSPENSION NOISE(THUD). I WONDER WHY SKODA IS JUST SITTING ON THIS PROBLEM. HEADLIGHTS MUST BE BRIGHTER. THROW IN A FEW MORE FEATURES( TAKE SOME INSPIRATION FROM THE TATA MANZA). THE RAPID IS A RATHER APPEALING PRODUCT. WITH THE UPPER MENTIONED CHANGES, AND A BIT BETTER AFTER SALES IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO SELL OVER 3000 CARS A MONTH INSTEAD OF THE 1100 SOMETHING THAT IT IS SELLING.

After having test driven the Hundai verna,Ford Ecosport,VW Vento,Renault Scala,Renault Duster i felt this is the best chioce and give me all i need at a very competitive price.
Exterior
I have selected the white color which definately looks classy and fresh even after a few years compared to the metallic colors which dulls over a period if not maintained well. Looks are definately solid with the typical masculine skoda grille. Alloy wheels whith crome logos are stunning.Tail light pattern looks neat in the nights.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interiors are sober in a beige/cuppichino combination dual tone.All internal lines are clean and not tacky linke the Ford ecosport or the Hundai verna variants. The drivers armrest is a boon as this really reduces the stress on the shoulders if you have to drive daily 46kms.The bucket seats a re very comfortable.Rear seats are a lil upright but given the boot space of 490 litres it is acceptable.Rear armrest is also a nice detail Skoda has considered for the additional comfort.Enough leg room even after the driver seat is pulled back to the max.Doors have a steel sil to avoid any scratches.Plastic quality is definately great for this price of a Sedan.

Excellent on engine performance as the turbo charged engine sets in immediately as you step on the peddle imparting a superb engine power of 105PS at 4400 RPM. I have just got a fuel economy of 15.80km under city conditions and the AC on at all times. Gear shifts is crisp and gear knowb is easy to hold, dont know why people have an issue with the riverse gear being below the first gear its just a matter of being habituated.Steering has a telescopic and a height adjustable provision which helps for taller people.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is super smooth for a diesel engine, road handling is excellent and the car feels super safe and sturdy even on rough roads.Road handling is far better than what i had for the test drive, suspensions swallows up the potholes and small rumbles on road with ease with negligible vibrations.

All in all its a solid, safe, reliable no-nonsense and a fuel efficient sedan with an understated touch of luxury on the inside.
Areas of improvement
Steering could have volume controls, USB port missing in the 2Din system, navigations system should have been part of the central music panel with touch screen.

Very good Solid, no-nonsense exterior just like its other siblings.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Materials used inside, be it the chrome/plastics, they are of top-quality. The music system and the stock speakers rate more than expected. Except for a very minor screech-sound on the door pillars over a rough stretch of road, everything else is absolutely fine. Even this noise was corrected during the first service.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Diesel Engine is a gem. The car moves from 40kmph onwards with the 5th gear and just a small dab on the accelerator peddle is enough to get the car sprinting towards 100kmph mark without a gear down-shift. You do not feel a glimpse of the turbo-lag unlike the FordFIESTA/HyundaiVERNA. Moves from 0 - 140 Kmph like a breeze. After 120 Kmph, the engine sound becomes little audible, but definitely not an ugly noise. After all German/Europeans like their cars to make that noise!!! Be it 120kmph or 140 kmph or 160 kmph, the car just remains in control and the feedback from the steering is definitely the BEST!!! Low-speed driving in the city roads is very comfortable as well. All thanks to a very good low-end torque on the engine. A well erected road-hump can negotiated effortlessly on the 3rd gear itself!!!
Fuel Economy:
In the city with normal traffic conditions (continous movement) , I have got a mileage of around 14.5 - 16.5 Kmpl.
In very bad bumper-bumper traffic conditions, wherein you keep driving in the 1st or 2nd gear (with constant gear shifts) with a speed of 10-20 Kmph, I 've seen the mileage dropping to as low as 10/11/12 kmpl.
On the highways, if you are an economy driver who'd like to cruise at a constant speed varying between 80-100 kmph on the 5th gear, I bet you'll get a mileage exceeding 21 Kmpl. I've experimented myself and seen the mileage go beyond 23 kmpl.
Again, on the highways, if you prefer to cruise at speeds exceeding 120/130 kmph, you can expect a mileage between 16-18 depending on the frequqncy of gear-shifts.
Ride Quality & Handling
SKODA has always been known for its superior ride-quality & handling and this behavior was exactly the reason that made me lean towards this car. Prior to buying the RAPID, had test-driven the Fluidic Verna, Duster and the likes. I know its very hard for all the Hyundai Verna owners to come to the terms with the fact, but can't help it. Yes, Skoda RAPID is a clear winner in this aspect. The RAPID never goes out of control/behaves indecently at high speeds. As far as my experience with many other cars in the Indian Market is concerned, the RAPID has got an amazing steering. It just feels awesome!!!
Final Words
I admit that this car does not have all the unwanted gizmos such as the in-built GPS, steering mounted audio controls, reverse-parking cam etc
But for someone, who cares to own a GOOD CAR considering the core-qualities of a car such as the ride-quality, handling, engine performance, top-quality interiors, solid-looking exteriors, JUST GO AHEAD with it!!! It is definitely a Value-for-Money car.
I have currently reached the 15,000 kms mark on my RAPID and got the servicing done, unlike the many other posts that i've seen/read about the SKODA's after-sales support, I got a very good service. The supervisor took enough care to fix all the minor complaints that I had reported and the SKODA was pro-active enough to give me a call to take a feedback of my service experience. Of course, I gave them a 5.
The delivery was made within a day's time. The only drwaback with the after-sales support is the low number of SKODA service centres available in any city.
With this review, I would like to state that I'm not a SKODA guy or a SKODA fan writing this review to support the brand. I just want anyone looking to buy a new car to have a good review from an owner himself. The normal crowd mentality is to go with a car (if you could not guess, I'm talking about the so-called FLUIDIC) that just boasts of a sporty look, but does not have enough under the hood to behave like one!!! So people, time to invest your money on a good buy!!!
Areas of improvement
1. Need to come up with few more authorized service centres.
2. To cheer and draw the crowd, the SKODA can think of including a few gizmos in the RAPID :D
3. I definitely would like to see the European RAPID released in the Indian market.

Pathetic Service provided by Arshia Motors Faridabad. Last year I went for servicing of my Fabia which also had a broken front fendor, during the servicing of car it was observed that there was a noise in car because of AC Compressor which was said to be in warranty by Mr. Surender. Also the driving side lock of the car was not functioning properly which was also covered in Warranty Mr. Surender told me that the part has been ordered and will take atleast 3 weeks for shipment and will be replaced when it will be at there service station.
The follow up from my side continued till February for the replacement of Fendor ,Compressor and lock and Arshia Motor was still waiting for the part to be deleivered. Then I got in contact with Mr. Hemant then GM Servicing assuring me that the part will be replaced with in a week.
I was out of town expecting that I`ll receive a call for the parts, there was no communication from Mr. Surender and Mr. Hemant then GM Servicing Arshia Motors Faridabad when I came back and sent the car for servicing and reported the pending issues Mr. Rajat who was handling the case now said that they will come back to me with the necessary details. And they told me that I`ll have to pay for the parts.
NEVER BUY SKODA if by chance you lost the key it will take 6 weeks for new keys of the car to be issued.

This Post is to clarify the exact dealing of so called high status brand "SKODA". I have a 2011 model skoda laura. Since 2012 i am complaining about my car's AC.
Every summers the car goes in the workshop for AC work, The workshop does a "JUGAAD" or a temporary work to make the ac working.
But again its max 10-15 days the ac works, then it is back again to the normal non working condition. This time I made a compaint to Skoda India Helpline Number an asked them to give me a specific time that by when my car will be delivered back to me bacause everytime my car goes to workshop, spends 15-20 days there.
On this "Mr.H.K kathal" executive of Skoda told me that we and the workshop have have other cars to do. So on this i think Skoda should stop selling new cars as they are not able to properly handle the existing customer and giving them non sense answer.
I would suggest everybody not to go for skoda.

Exteriors The car looks good,I have the Brighr red variant.
I did a test drive when I got this car but the salesman told me the pick up is slow because it is a brand new car. The car is so slow from 0-40 and this is annoying. You have to keep on pushing your accelerator. Worst car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) comfortable. Back seat is ok. Ac vent in the back cannot be turned off,
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox. Worst pick up of all cars I have driven. I miss my honda city like a kid misses his first day at school.

Don't buy this unless you are coming from a very small car. shifting from honda city to rapid was like shifting from iPhone to android. the car is slow, noisy, eats fuel... I regret buying skoda.
