Look and Style This is a subjective topic. Like the color of the car a person chooses to drive. Fabia has classy looks. Big car feel. Good view from the rear and the front. The steel grill gives it a grander appearance from the front view. In my view this is the one of the best looking hatchbacks in India. I own the 1.2 TDI CR (diesel Fabia). Purchased it in Feb 2011.
Comfort Quality of the interiors is top notch. Gives you a majestic and luxurious feel when sitting inside. Very spacious in the front and even the back leg room is decent if not the best. The ride quality is good. But on the bumpy indian roads, i feel the suspension can be improved a bit. Steering response is good. Low engine noise inside the cabin. (this is in the newer models, 1.2 TDI CR models which come with the engine guard built in).
Yes the door closing with a thud, which is the signature of skoda make is always there. Not to mention the seat belts having the audi symbol or the VW polo engine (yes Fabia and Polo have the same exact engines. Compare the specs if you want). The AC is the best. No second thoughts here. esp the diesel cars' AC. Very powerful cooling and the car gets cooler very fast. I've noticed one interesting thing here with comparison to the petrol models (HTP models). Though the petrol fabia is very quiet (you will not know whether the engine is on or not) the moment you turn on the AC in the petrol model you can hear a noticeable noise increase and engine vibration inside the cabin. This is not seen in the diesel models (TDI CR models). When the AC is off, the diesel car is noisier than the petrol one. but we never drive a car like that. When the AC is on, there is not much of a difference, the diesel is only slightly more noisier.
The sound proofing is excellent. This adds to the reduction in the engine noise. But from outside the engine noise is much higher for the diesel car. The only problem with the rear ac vents is that they work only in the feet mode. They'd freeze your legs if you use it like that. They should have kept a mode which serves the feet and the top partially, which is very common in Indian cars.
Pickup Being a diesel car, the pickup is not so great. But not bad at all. more than enough for city driving. I feel the problem is the pick up in the 2nd gear. From the moment you reach 3rd gear the pickup is good. again the 5th gear pickup is good only after 60 kmph. 50 to 60 is little slow.
Mileage The trade off of lesser pickup is the mileage. I am getting 17 to 18 kmpl (diesel) in city driving. I think it will touch 22 on highways ( i didnt check it by driving on highways exclusively).
Best Features Interior quality, powerful A.C, smooth gear shifts, Safety (dual airbags).
Needs to improveSuspension (for bumpy roads in India). Rear AC vents should work in dual mode/ feet and top both together.
Overall Experience Extremely satisfied. No problems whatsoever in the 6 months so far. Also there is an extended warranty given (4 yrs unlimited kms) along with complete bumper to bumper coverage in the insurance (yes even scratches are covered). The talk of expensive spares is not relavant now after localization of spare part manufacturing is employed. There are plants in Pune and Shendra.
I was thinking of buying the Ford figo or the Skoda Fabia. The reasons I went for Fabia is the newer engine (2010 model, with CR/common Rail technology). Figo may offer better value but Skoda offers you pride and satisfaction on each drive.

Exterior The new fabia is abit improved from the oder version, the grill looks more like the bigger skoda's the bumper has more character to it than the previous - more like the VW polo. The fog lamps look more aggressive on the Elegance, that can be added to the ambiente or the classic. Its 30mm longer than the swift and looks like a big class car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Fabia never had issues with the interiors and the new fabia certainly has't cut corners either. Everything is well arranged and feels like a cockpit of a big car. The seating is very spacious even for tall people sitting in the back with the driver seat set to full comfort back. The boot space is really good (who needs a big car anyway just for the dicky huh !).
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Unlike what most people say I found the new fabia TDI CR engine quite responsive, it is a notch below the swift but the fabia has it class even in drivability, I will say its my kinda engine set to perform the way I like it , smooth sailing and predictable. The fuel economy is decent for any diesel and is much improved since it has the same engine that's in the VW polo. The gear box is sharp and precice, no nonsense shift. It is certainly much better that what you find in most other small cars, I felt like I was driving the Laura.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride quality, hands down to the new fabia, one can hardly feel the rough roads, with the AC you can hardly hear anything outside or feel the bad roads. But in the swift its just the opposite.
Final Words One of the nicest small cars for that price, and the best big small car that has come out so far.
Areas of improvement My personal feel is, it can have bigger wheels. Either 15" or better 17" wheels will make the fabia untouchable.

Exterior: One of the most handsome hatchbacks in market today. Only rivalled byt the vw polo. I bought a silver example, it just stands out in any parking lot.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Front seats rival any large sedan, back seats are comfortable, although can seat 2 adults and child only. Truth to tell, thats all that we usually require 90% of times. Nice beige interiors, one of the best again. Nice textured fabric for seat, doesnt slip even on hard cornering. Nice plastics, very thoughtful choice of material like in the space beneath audio which holds remote. Anti skid! Nice feel of steering plastic. 12 speed windscreen wiper! Good a/c. good road view. adjustable driver's seat and tilt and telescopic steering for the perfect riding position. two airbags as standard. largest boot in hatches (checked punto, figo, swift, ritz, polo). main reason that i switched from my earlier plan to buy sedan to consider fabia.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Same engine as in vw polo. noisy engine, but very little vibration for diesel. noise lessens as speed increases. excellent pickup, reminds me of driving swift diesel. beautiful steering, nicely weighted, both in parking and at speeds, nicely balanced on ghat sections. decent gearbox for segment. odd but nice reverse gear. i get 15-16 in city with a/c on all the time, 19-21 on long stretch of highways (outside kerala of course, we dont have highways in kerala!!)
Ride Quality & Handling: Nice ride quality, good balance, slightly stiff suspension hence potholes felt, but dont rattle passengers. just a thud. no significant body roll for such a tall car. beautiful stability at 100kmph-120kmph. havent driven beyond that. braking adequate. dont have abs in my version.
Final Words: Excellent hatch. will recommend the car to anyone considering it. and has an upmarket appeal. more expensive than swift, but better quality, larger boot, better rear seat space, airbags than swift, so the cost difference evens out. servicing once in 15000km, unlike 5000 for swift, so cost quite similar.
Areas of improvement : Dealership!!! skoda needs to honestly audit its dealership performance. in kerala, marikkar engineers sells and services skoda. they have been traditionally dealers of ambassadors, with very poor reputation. need at least 2 dealers per city to realise full potential of an excellent car.

Exterior Build quality is superb, as its a european car . Doors are very smooth to open. Key feature for glass opening.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Plastic quality is much better than other inidan cars. Simple buttons on dashboard are easy for handling. Card holder along with light system. Inbuilt front speakers and component in the A pillar.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Need more power, still for Inidan roads its more than enough. After completing 50000 km in 11 months still the pickup is same no problem in clutch. I have done only the normal service @ Skoda service stations. NO issues with the gearbox and the Engine.
Ride Quality & Handling At cornering and the sudden braking vechile is very stable.
Final Words I am very happy with my desicion for buying this car. Its cool ride. No maintenence. Value for money .No other inidan car is coming with Dual airbag in this cost.

Exterior The exterior is very nice as compared to other hatc baks as skoda ppl are master in that.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Had a dissapointment coz hav purchased a brand new car 3 months ago and had driven around 3500 km. had a sudden breakdown and so the car was nt able 2 start and so was in service station for 3 dayz bt the ppl wer nt able 2 find wt the prob waz.had puchased this car due to intension of superior build quality but proved 2 be bid dissapointment.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is also good...itz suspension waz a bit hard initially but have becom much softer.
Final Words please see other cars like i20 diesel or swift diesel also just dont go for superior brnad name.

Fuel ecomony is very good. Clocked 1000km as on date and with one highway drive from B'lore to Chennai, over all fuel average came upto 20km/lt (Max time a/c was on).
Ride Quality & Handling
Breaking was good. No skidding at 120kmph and also nice breaking.
Suspension was great.

Every this as per this car is really good. But if you plan to buy this car in B'lore PLzz,plzz dont buy it in TAFE ACCESS

Should have ABS and would have given front fog lamps with rear wiper.
Good Fuel Economy. Nice strong buid. High safety in this segment.Noisy diesel engine. Power is less within city as the turbo need to get charged.

Exterior The stying is good and the paint quality stands apart. The front grille shows the style.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good legroom and head room for both rear and front passenger. Height adjustable driver seat. AC rear vent and does cool fast. quality plastics - better than any hatch back. Boot is spacious than any other.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The new fabia with VW engine is really great. Very smooth and 18 kmpl on the highway. THE BRAKING QUALITY IS SUPERB. You can never go wrong.
Ride Quality & Handling The handling is precise. AND IN THE HIGHWAYS YOU CAN DOMINATE. Overtaking, controll of the car is really great. you can out beat sedan. Smooth and soft on the bumps. At 120 you dont have to panic neither the car shows any sign.

Exterior Looks good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) is avg. less leg space for the rear seats. boot space is huge.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Initally it was giving 18.5 kms, now it is giving 16 kms on high ways at a speed 100 to 110 kms. its 30000 kms review. i will not recommand any one to buy a skoda product.
Ride Quality & Handling At 100 kms speed if we apply breaks the car is sliding. very very poor breaking system and front suspension also.

Areas of improvement After sale service is the main issue to improve. the compant should have regional head office and their contact nos. the company has one toll free no and one mail id, in that none will respond. i am suffer from the day of my fabia purchase, still the defectives r not solved from 60kms to 30000 kms. Exterior Impressive dignified shape, simple ligting heads.Resembles successful Maruthi Swift in shape.No fog lamp in the lower ends is minus. Overall great.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) In one go excellent but still can be improved by providing sufficent files size space .Reduce the rear bottle tray length to increase leg comfort for middle seater of rear seat. Electonic display features can still be improved as that of Figo where in the distance can be covered by the remaining fuel is indicated.Rear speakers are closed when the back seaters are leaning to door. Overall simply superb.

Final Words Feel like Mechanically higer version But inferior in Electronic system utilisation to contemporists. The cost factor is to be reviewd for middle end user. Accessories are to be provided in the present cost. The feel is not good to go for Skoda Accessaries to ordinary level shops and get the hands of them on Skodas.
Areas of improvement For middle end, Rear reversing two lamps to provide, Instead of two air bags ABS +one air bag may be thought of. Sound system should be inbuilt. INCREASE AUTO /ELECTONIC CONTROLS to make it amicable to now Electronic generation.
