This car's ride quality is perhaps one of the best I have experienced till now. Suspensions are very finely tuned with minimal body roll. In a nutshell i am in love with its ride quality.
Duster is simple but yet elegant and have rugged looks to it. Gives you a feeling of an SUV and with its weight it has enough juice to iterally erase the blackboard.
Ground clearance is one of the highlights. You don't feel afraid taking this car over anything on thr road. This is where you realise that money on this SUV is well spent.
I would have liked interiors to be better and some more features in the car however i think with the price tag one has to do some compromises somewhere at the end of the day. Some of the features missing worth mentioning are climate control &electronically folding OVRM.
I have driven almost 1500 and loved every bit of it!

AFTER SALES NEED TO IMPROVE A LOT - I got my car to the service centre for 6 times for the same complains and still not resolved . . .
Guys I'd like to say that Renault seems to be good company and specially Duster is a great success no doubt, but I am very much frustrated due to both.
I purchased a Renault Duster before some months and now its like my duty to take the car with the same complains every few days.
What is this !!! Did I pay lakhs of rupees for this ???
I want a CASH BACK for my car or I'll make this a serious issue for sure . . .
I have submitted my vehicle to your service for more than 5 times in 7 months for the same repeated complains, the car has repeated complains every few days and the best part is that they increase day by day.
It seems I PAID for a Renault Duster and now I've to check its FAULTS.
6 TIMES TO THE SERVICE CENTRE FOR SAME REPEATED COMPLAINS IS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOR A CUSTOMER, DO VALUE THAT.

Exterior Looks great from all angles. probably its greatest usp. It bought it for the way it looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quality is really bad. An i20 has far better interior than this. Space is just about a simple hatchback. My toyota etios is far more spacious both at front and rear.Driver seat gives backache during long journeys.Rear legroom is very bad for tall passengers. wind noise too much post 100kmph.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is nice. Mid range torque is great. It is quite punchy and pulls easily.It doesnt blow out of power even at 150kmph. fuel economy is not as stated. overall-12kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling Comfy ride. handles most potholes but bigger ones filter through.Rear bench is the most comfortable place despite less legroom. Handling is fine. steering is direct and has some nice feedback.
Final Words Go for sedans in this segement if you are not so SUV headed.

Exterior Very asthetic.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good. But left leg of driver will foul with dashboard and will irritate the driver constantly.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox While releasing the clutch there is a gerk. Not as smooth as skoda. The dealer could not rectify and claims there is manufacuring error.
Ride Quality & ndling Found it quite ok.
Final Word Will not recommend to chauffer driven. The owner sitting in rear seat wiill contantly see the glass lowering when he rests his hand on the handrest. The moment the elbow touches the power switch the window glass lowers.
Areas of improvement the power switch is situated on the centre of hand rest on rear seat. It should be relocated on compaign basis even for exisiting cars or else the owners will be cursing daily as I do. There is alreay a dummy switch provided below the handle. The person answering the calls at Noida are rude and cannot convinc and solve your problems. t y et are more like call centre employees. Denior person thinks it is below his dignity to talk to customers.

Exterior is good with Smooth flowing Lines and good muscular curves at the wheel Arches. But the rear wheel arches can get a lil in the way of your view when reverse parking.
Interior Ergonomins really suck.
Since the vehicle Ground Clearence is at 205 mm and height is not much, theres actually lesser vertical space in the cabin. So a 6 footer like me finds it difficult to get in and out as your still dealing with a car like space. My feet get stuck between the seat and the steering wheel as the place is cramped and finally results in the steering whell getting stuck locked. Also the rake adjustment of the steering is very minimal.
The drivers seat has its height and lumbar handles at odd positions which will need you to twist and squeeze through to find them.
I dont find the positioning of the OVRM operation switches odd. Infact its more convenient and some switches on the audio steering control pod are odd for your fingers to reach.
The AC controls are placed too low for a clear view and comfortable operation.
The speaker housung console on the drivers seat interferes with your side legroom and door pocket space is eaten up. Same with te consoles for the other doors.
The Audio system swicthes off and on every time you turn the ignition key to any position and so disconnects the bluetooth connection which is a nuisance when you are plating bluetooth audio.
Rear AC is poorly positioned.
Slight rattles on rear doors right from day one. And I guess itll be a perpatual problem with dusters. Even slight torsional stress or longi stress results in squeeking from the doors. i had a look and guess its the very weak locking link for the doors that results in this problem.
Not enough closed storage boxes compared to my last vehicle.
The spare wheel is not Alloy.
Glove Box is very deep but tje usable space tapers out as you go deep so its kinda useless.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The 110PS Engine is good but suffers turbo lag below 2000 rpm especailly in 2nd and 3rd gears esp when downshifting from higher speeds. Sometimes you have to downshift right upto 1st gear when you slow down the vehicle from 4th/5th/6th gears to tackle a hump etc coz the pick up doesnt happen with just 3rd or 2nd gear.
Once youve got the turbo kicking the engine is great and responsive and you can comfortably touch 120kmph.
I love the turning circle its lesser than most sedans and so easy to park and manouevre. Rare parking sensors are only beep based so will take time getting used too.
Car like dynamics and manoeuverability make it a breeze to drive in congested and bad roads coz the shocks are so good, you can just drive over bad roads without worrying. Also the greast ground clearence will ensure that you never scrape the bottom anywhere anymore.
Headlights and all other lighting is good enough. But the contols levers are on the wrong side ofg the steering neck which they have ignored when changing the layout from LHD to RHD for Indian vehicles.
Service intervals are 2000/10000/20000/30000 kms and so on. or once every year. So thats a boon. Guess service costs wont be more than 3 to 4K per service.
Areas of improvement
The rear door rattle has to GO. Its the only and real nuisance in the car and makes the vehicle feel like its not well put together. Otherwise its a good car, a little expensive for what is offered though.
Good Engine, Decent Interiors and Music System with BTA lil cramped, Rattling Rear Doors, Ergonomics Suck.

Exterior A very beautiful and muscular very good front view and great looking alloy wheels and head lamps are excellent NO DOUBT FROM EXTERIOR IT IS UNBEATABLE
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I think features are not much value for money no start/stop button, no climate control, audio system is not very good no reverse camera.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gear box: duster is engine which gives sufficient mileage but lacks punch of an suv its pick up is less than fiats multijet engine the mileage in city is 14 and highway is 16[approx] and the clutch is hard to press compared to ther cars
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is very nice and handling is very nice but renaults service has to be improved.
Final Words If u can adjust in pickupand some features the car is excellent for any road

Exterior Stunning looks, good shaping
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious interiors. Comfortable seating. Interior finish looks very appealing, Very good boot space. I liked the angling of the rear seats.. I think it has been done with multiple thoughts of seating comfort on one side and increasing the boot space on the other side. This has come out very nice.
The AC vent (with control knobs) on the rear looked very handy and useful though I am not sure on whether this is limited to higher variants only.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox GearBox is smooth. Fuel Economy that my uncle was saying was around 14kmpl but it is too early to predict now as he has done only 1000kms now.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is very good. Handling is very easy and comfortable and one won't feel like driving an SUV, One would more feel like driving a Sedan.
Final Words An excellent choice. Value for Money. Excellent choice in this budget range.
Areas of improvement Engine sound could be refined.

Exterior Well designed & it gives you posh feeling.Height is not much..almost same as a sedan. Overall sizeis like an SUV. Its a brilliant fusion of a Sedan & SUV.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Uncomparable, never you feel that you are driving a diesel car..there is no turbo lag. Pickup is so smooth and power packed.
There is no knocking on low gears .Even u can move the vehicle from Second gear that you never feel it stars ion a low gear.
You do a test drive once u in the cabin it will take u like a rocket.
Ride Quality & Handling Shock ubsorbers are designed for us no jerk no humbs, well balanced.
Final Words If you decided to invest Rs:10L for a diesel car , pls dont finalize without driving Duster.
Areas of improvement Driver seat height adjustmet is not possible after sitting on it. Height is not much comfortable for 6``tall guy-Height must increased. Rear seat space between the seats is not enough.
