Let me give you a first hand thumbs up for the performance of this car. Its about one month old, XV (petrol) - Bronze. My first long drive with all windows up (AC not used), the details are as follows as paragraphs may make boring reading.
1. Total distance covered: 144 Km (90% stretch on highway, 10% villages, towns, traffic etc.)
2. Max duration at 80 Kmph, max speed touched 130 Kmph.
3. rpm at 80 kmph was 2500. at 130 kmph it reached 3500.
4. At 80 kmph, for a while the right rear window pane was half open, it created sound like sitting in a helicopter, with a repetitive beat and increase in pressure inside the ear drums, as happens when aircraft is descending in flight. First thought was that it is due to some fault in the aerodynamic shape, but once the window was rolled on, all quietened to a hum.
5. Sound of tyres' rolling on the road is bit high inside, may be some more padding (noise proofing) will help.
6. Control and maneuverability is at par with any other of this segment. However, Nissan may consider putting in a spoiler at the tail due to the highly aerodynamic shape of the car.
7. My little daughter managed to pull out the cup holder from rear seat hand rest. The setting and quality of this aspect is poor (as the hollow gave me a chance to poke under the upholstery).
8. I know you are getting restless to know the average. well it was an unbelievable figure in this segment... 19 kmpl. That I consider is a very good average.
9. Verdict: No issues with the car, it still makes a good buy... per after sales service ka kya hoga... my concerns in all previous posts remains on this issue. These guys are haughty and almost shameless in this department.
