I bought the new Dzire in April 2013, have driven 6954 kms. Just love this car...after having driven hyundai models since last 10 years.
The Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) super, elegant and comfortable. The beige and wood finish are excellent. The curves are sexy. Good finishing. The buttons are well placed and accessible. The bottle holders in all four doors are great placements.
Engine Performance is good, Fuel Economy is best amongst peers and Gearbox smooth.Ride Quality & Handling excellent and sturdy. Braking is good. Must give 15 inch wheels and highway radials.
Areas of improvement Need to have height adjustment of driver seat and reverse sensor as company fitment, the headlights should be white halogen and should have rain wisors on doors.
Finally Maruti has made the best in sub 4 segment. Final Words - must buy and value for money!!

Exterior : Most masculine look from front. Rear is a bit odd, though it is well known while buying. But the boot has enough space for a family of 3 to 4 for an outing of 4 to 5 days. After entering in the car, exterior drawbacks shall move out from mind.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Interiors are best in class. Dash board is much better than the closest competitors (Chevrolet Sail and Honda Amaze). Quality of plastics are rich feeling. Instrument panel is convenient and supportive. Chrome finish door handles and wooden finish trim give a rich look, while one sits inside.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox : Engine performance is very good. Found good pick up - 0 to 100 kmph in less than 7 seconds. Fuel economy is very supportive. Gear shifts are smoother than competitors (Chevrolet Sail and Honda Amaze). AC is sufficiently strong.
Ride Quality & Handling : rear Suspension very smooth at lower as well as at more than 100kmph speed. Though sound of tyres is prominent while driving, it gives a confidence while driving. Very sporty driving.
Final Words : Good car as value for money. People must opt it as an entry level compact sedan.
Areas of improvement : If Maruti can cut the nose a bit and increase boot.

Exterior
From the front side, the car looks awesome but from the side-view it looks chopped. Looks are subjective but i like the overall exteriors. The Swept-back headlights, turn indicators on ORVMs are really good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The black and beige combination of interiors give the car a kind of luxurious feel. MID has got lot of features like Distance to Empty, Real-time mileage Indicator etc. The Built-in ICE is good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Fiat 1.3 L 75 Bhp engine is a proven super-star. Turbo-lag upto 1800 rpm is irritating though. Once after the 1800 rpm, the turbo kicks in and you get lot of power. Mileage is awesome. I get 22 KMPL even before the completion of second service.
To Achieve this mileage, try to accelerate properly, maintain a constant speed. Keep an eye on the mileage indicator and it will teach us how to drive this beauty. If the mileage indicator shows between 25-30 KMPL most of the time, you are sure to extract 22+ KMPL in real-time.
Ride Quality & Handling
Perfectly weighted steering makes handling comfortable. Rear-Suspension is a bit on the softer side, so there is slight body-roll but with roads with Potholes, it comes as a blessing in disguise.
The car is stable at 110 km/hr. The straight line stability is very good.
Final Words
Though, everyone feels the car is slightly over-priced, this beauty is an enthusiasts dream. Just go for it!!
Areas of improvement
Rear leg-room needs to be improved. Boot size should atleast be 400 litres for a sedan.

This car has good exterior with decent looks new shape with less boot space but overall nice work by MSIL.
The interiors of the car are unmatched in front of other manufacturers like Honda Amaze, Toyota, it is fetching highest resale value compared to any other indian manufacturers. so no doubt about it. I bought this car last week only drawback is bad music system & speakers maruti should upgrade themselves not expected from 8 lac car.
I have bought this car & driven 1000 odd kms. The turbo kick after 2000 rpm roares best in class NVH engine noise is well under control compared to Amaze Diesel which is horrible. auto lack after speed of 20 plus which is absent in honda amaze vx also. Ride quality is great as mentioned after 2000 mark it takes the thurst of speed & manuvering in city is also very good. turning radious 4.8 very well in control.
Truly Majestic car Value for money. superb resale value than any other brand in india.

Exterior It looks as sharp as ever.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Amazing comfort, no other car in this class offers the sophistication and quality of the Dzire's dash. The quality of materials used is 3 classes above, the music system is well integrated, and the speed sensing volume is a great addition. The climate control works great and keeps the cabin at a perfect temperature.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Amazing performance, some say the Amaze has better performance, but when put to the test the Dzire easily wins. The gearbox is slick, comes into hand easily and works very smoothly. There is some turbo lag when using higher gears but once you're past 1800 RPM it's smooth sailing to the redline. It easily sails to 180 KMPH and easily cruses at 130-140. The fuel economy is amazing, I cover over 700 KM on one tank of diesel.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is suffiecient for a car in this class. It's not the best but it keeps most of the bumps out and stays very stable at high speeds. I prefer cars which are stable at high speed over low speeds. I cover over 72 KM on my daily office run and 60KM of it is on a highway. The handling has always been the sweet spot of the Swift/Dzire which remains the same in the new version. It easily takes corners which stumbles many other cars. It also aspires confidence to push the car!
Final Words Overall it's the perfect car for Indians. The reason being it's the best of both worlds. Its spacious yet small, it's powerful yet frugal on the diesel, it's good in the city as well on the highway. The interior is for 3 classes above and oozes of sophistication. It's boot and tail are slightly quirky but it hasn't stopped it from becoming India's top selling sedan.
Areas of improvement The boot could be improved. The turbo should be tuned to kick in at lower RPM's. Otherwise no complains.

I bought the new dezire in Apr-2013 and I have driven 10000+ kilometers.
Exterior The exterior design was a bit odd at first but it takes time to like the new look of the car. From the front I like the looks very much. The ground clearance is also very good for this car. The only issue I find with the exterior is the thickness of the body metal, it definitely feels fragile and unsafe at times.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I liked the biege colored interior and the black dash board combination. What impressed me very much is the space and the AC. Five adults can sit and travel comfortably over long journeys. The AC is also very impressive. The car automatically locks doors after reaching 30KMPH speed. This is very useful and it was surprising that this feature is not there in many cars like Duster.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I definitely feel turbo lag at times and it is unavoidable. The gear box is kind of ok. Why I bought the diesel version is for it's fuel economy and I found that I am consistently getting around 25 KMPL on highways, given that I maintain an average speed of 70-90 kmph range (using tankful to tankful method only). However I find it amusing that the avg. fuel economy meter shows abnormal figures like 29.3, 28.9 etc. But in my experience it never gave more than 25KMPL.
Ride Quality & Handling What I like most is the driving quality. 5 adults (including driver) can take long journeys comfortably.
Final Words Dzire is very good car but it is pricey, I feel the price (8.5 lakh onroad in Bangalore) is more and if reduced by another 80,000 would be an optimum price for the car. This car is not perfect. There are quality niggles with the dash board and the rear compartment making noises at times (even after 3 services the ASS could not fix it). The boot is very less and at times feel it's really not useful that much for a medium sized family. The sound insulation could be improved. Also a high-adjustable driver's seat could have been better.

Exterior The exterior is well painted & the finish is exceedingly excellent. The new shade of Prime Pacific Blue is really a wonder to watch. The new & improved turn signals located on the rear view mirrors makes a stunning look & eyes turn around comparable to premium sedans. The headlamps are large & if one upgrades to 110V bulbs, the night driving is a pleasure for the superb visibility added to the front bumper located Fog lamps which is powerful to read the roads well. The rear of the car looks not so good but according to me integrating the spoiler to the tailgate is another feature for appreciation.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interioe seats is very plush with arm rest on the rear seat. The two tone biege & black interiors compliment the Prime Pacific Blue shade. The cluster is well lit with an orange-yellow shade & does not disturb the attention during teh night drives. The needles of the indicators is also lit red & compliments the instrument cluster looks.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The car inspite of having a 1.3L Diesel heart has no vibrations & noise levels are very low. It is infact to distinguish the engine ride & performance to that of a Gasoline heart. The pick up though has a lag until the turbo comes on at 2000 rpm. The gear shift is amazingly smooth & clutch is light. Even my wife had a misconception that a diesel car clutch is heavy, but was amazed with the smoothness as compared to that of WagonR. The steering adjust is nice & interior plastic looks premium.
Ride Quality & Handling The ride is smooth & handles the pot holed roads of Bangalore with ease. The drive is very smooth & passengers on the rear seat find the drive very smooth. The car handles well on turns, with a very responsive steering at idle & low speeds, not to mention at high speeds is excellent. There is no fatigue even after a drive of 500km at a stretch.
Final Words A real value for maoney, head turner for the features, colour, enjoyable family car.
Areas of improvement The centre rear view mirror should be equipped with display for reversing. AC vents should be provided on the centre console.

Areas of improvement
It emits a brazing sound whenever the doors are opened and closes. Meanwhile a lot has to be done for mileage, even on highway's and ORR it doesn't exceeds more than 15KMPL. The exterior is good but it can be better with some modifications in the Floor mat. The Seats are made of the poor quality and the front grill below the bonnet is not upto the mark, it gives away when there is a strong wind or you happen to drive at fast speed. The body paint gives up very easily even a lightest scratch can be visible and leaves a dent on the car.

it has vvt (variable valve transmission) engine which increase the fuel efficiency and smoother the gear shifts.

The ride is smooth & handles the pot holed roads of Mumbai with ease. The drive is very smooth & passengers on the rear seat find the drive very smooth.

Seats very comfortable, space in reas seats could have been more. Good features with in-built audio system and other things like cup holder etc. Dashboard indicators like range, average etc are very useful.

Engine is very smooth and silent. Fuel economy is excellent giving 18.5 km/l in city driving. Gearbox is good overall but should be more smooth in first and second gear

Very good. Driving is very easy and effortless. Both city driving and highway driving are effortless.

Overall a real value for money and since it is from Maruti you it is a very dependable car with minimal maintanence. And if you are coming from driving a car like zen estilo the difference is huge in overall driving experience.

Audio system could be improved. More leg room should be given for rear seats.
