Exterior Very expected, it is the swift with the boot. However, the best angle that the DZire was viewed from earlier was the rear 3/4th quater and that is now history.
So now instead of looking like a balanced sedan where the boot did not feel slapped on, it looks like a hatch with a puffed luggage bay tring hard to merge with a sedan.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Commendable, if at all anyone had any complaints of the old one's interiors, they must bite on this.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Predictably maruti, will live up to the maruti's ad campain on mileage.
Ride Quality & Handling Shorter chasis is always a hotter car, this one will give smiles to handling aspects.
Final Words Last time maruti killed a star is when they knocked off the old jellybean zen and brought in the estillo. The new car is a step mom from day one, even if she went for art of living in a small makeover and had a desperate tech savvy campain, it remained as popular as well.. a step mom.
This time maruti killed the swift dezire which was an aspirational sedan for families. In fact it was so good that people fould it a definitely better opention than the better speced sx4. Now being a compact sedan, its hardly a sedan and its now a confused hatch.
However, priced right it will still find some buyers to make the accountants at maruti happy, not us.

The Price Difference between the VXI & VXI AT variant is 693883 – 568592 = 125290/-
And in this price difference of 125290/- Maruti offers the below mentioned features in the VXI AT variant.

The difference in Marutis own cars which has Auto Transmission is as below.
1. AStar being a Low end car the difference between VXI (427862) & VXI-AT (481550) = 53688/-
2. SX4 being a High end car the difference between ZXI Leather (869847) & ZXI Leather-AT (946029) = 76182/-
3. In my opinion New Swift Dzire is neither a Low End or a High End car and is somewhere between these two. Hence the price range difference between MT & AT of New Swift Dzire should also fall between these two i.e. 53688/- and 76182/- which is not the case, but the difference is way too high 125290/- almost 50000/- extra
Note:The Price difference between MT & AT of other Makes are far more competitive than that of Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and in fact they are from a Upper Segment Cars as well with fair price difference.

Exterior Although the boot space is reduced, the space is still adequate for 3 moderate size bags. the new head lights, rear lights, turn indicators on ORVM, new front grill and new colours (pacific blue) all makes it delightful to watch. some people may complain about exterior looks as the car seem to end abruptly due to reduce boot space. but the performance and other features easily overweighs this disadvantage. i still wont call it as a disadvantage as persistantly increasing prices would definitely make other companies to make adjustments in looks in order to reduce the size. i will not be surprised to see more such cars with reduced boot spaces in nearby future and perhaps dzire holds the second foot step after tata indigo in this direction.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Gorgeous biege and black combination. slide the driver seat a little forward (still comfortable to drive) and you get ample of space for rear seat passengers. i am almost 6 ft tall and still i dont feel uncomfortable in the drivers seat after sliding teh seat forward. you could never compare the space with long sedans of honda or skoda but obviously you could with the same genera of tata indigo or mahindra verito or manza. the only thing was an average quality music system that is provided by the manufacturer.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Company claims a high fuel economy and i think till now i have been satisfied with this claim.
Ride Quality & Handling lightest of most of the cars of the genera and smooth and easy pick up. no complains
Final Words who gives you a sedan (petrol version) in 6 lakhs with an adequate boot space, safety measures, music system and with such a mileage?

Final Words The price difference in VXi MT and AT is Rs.1,23,000/- which is very high. The difference in their own cars i.e. SX4 MT and AT and Astar MT and AT is between RS.50,000/- and Rs.72,000/- then why difference of Rs.1,23,000/- Even if you reduce the cost of ABS, still it is too high. You can compare the difference with any other brand such as Honda City, Honda Civic, Hyundai Verna, GM Cruz and volks wagen Jetta. you can find out the difference in price of MT and AT models of these cars and then you may agree to my views.
Areas of improvement Either Maruti should add the features of Zxi in this at the same cost, if not all the features, at least Air Bags for Driver and co passanger.

Interiors are plush.. upmarket feel.. when you enter the car you feel good... 1.2 ltr VVT engine with 87 bjp power is more than sufficient has good pick up.. spacious enogh to carry 5 passangers.. arm rest at the back adds a touch of upper class.. rear view is a bit of a problem..

I always try to upshift early but in Dzire You need to extract the power from each gear.. early upshift affects pick up. engine is peppy amd well refined.. can easily go from 0 to 100 km/hr in 10 seconds.. gear shifting is very smooth.. but long drive is sometimes becomes hectic as dead padal is missing.. 13.5nm[l in City (Mumbai).. 15kmpl on highway (with AC).. boot space thogh looks a bit out of shape is more than sufficient for a family of four people. Good music system with 6 speakers (4+ 2 eweeters).. Bluetooth is missing in zxi...

Excellent ride quality and handeling due to ABS and EBD.. good for city as well as highway driving..15 inch alloy feels good.. one of the best factor is ground clearance..

Not very attractive as compared to old swift dezire. Old dezire was a long car with a satisfaction of driving and comfort.

May be this car not able to capture the eye of those aspirants who were looking to buy swift dezire. I had personally waited for more than three months but finally when it came in new version, I was dissappointed and cancelled my booking and opted for another diesel car with faster delivery . We are however can not wait for so long and ultimately need to fulfill our desires. I had always driven maruti suzuki car but this time i felt that maurti suzuki is not interested to take care of the customers and had taken it for granted that customers will buy the car without any thinking.
it is good fuel economy car but presently at the same comparable price(with slightly higher price), you may get cars of the other brand.

Should think of either more price reduction or improvement in design.

Exterior Dashing Dzire 2012 now appears more stylish with refurbished outfit that caters iconic styling. New stylish bumpers, Peeled back bigger headlamps, Chromed front grill, Integrated turn indicators, Stylish alloy wheels, etc. The car is now wider and is marginally higher then its predecessor.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Provided with newly added features, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire 2012 has much better interiors compared to the present model. With wider dimensions and increased legroom, the three box sedan is quite capacious now and coupled with new Steering Wheel, Integrated Audio System and Auto Climate Control looks dynamic. Also, the lighter beige and black treatment along with a dash of silver garnishing, leather trims and wooden finish contribute to the opulent cabin. Looks quite stylish now.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It has same engine as was in old model but mileage has improved considerably.. For the 1st time Swift is offering Automatic transmission which will be a comfortable driving experienceThe all new Maruti Swift Dzire 2012 will give a fuel efficiency of 19.1 kmpl for petrol driven variant whereas the diesel version will offer astonishing 23.4 kmpl of fuel economy as claimed by company.
Ride Quality & Handling The Dzire is based on the new Swift so it gains from the fact that interior space has been optimized for passenger comfort.
Final Words Rices has been announced by company . it will be cheaper by rs 20000 approx. Its a best entry level sedan car of country.
Areas of improvement Waiting period to be slashed max uo to 1 month. Their is lot of other cars in the market earing to go.

Exterior looks good than old.from front view.but cut off boot is a negative.the bumpers provided at front and back are too thin and breaks even by slight hit.the old desire bumpers were very strong.door,body construction are very light.very thin metals are used.ever thinner than my ritz.altogether the car doesnt feel strongly built.get damaged easily even by a small hit.and one have to spend quite afew bucks for the body work once damaged.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) good looking interiors.looks posh.but beige gets dirty easily.maruti has cutt off the bottle holder provided on the back doors in desire.thats a negative.knee room though bigger than the old car, still cant match with other sedans.ever lower than figo. if anyone compare the seat length and width they can realise,its smaller than even the ritz seats.if u dont believe,check out the interior measurements given in autobuild mag to campare between swift,ritz and desire.only area where swift and desire scores is in knee romm which has incresed by just 2.5cms than ritz.but is the desire worthy for all the money we pay?just for some boot but with less built strength.its my request for all to compare in detail about all the cars than giong just for cars with image.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox performance has increased more from the old car.but its because of reduced body weight.its nearly 60kg lighter than old desire.its because of reduced boot, light metal for body, very light weight bumpers,use of plastic fuel tank,reduced thickness of glass etc.inshort the built strength of the car is not good.typical light japenese built.due to this slight increase in fuel economy.due to use of detent pin technology in gear box, the gear shifts are lighter.again the length of gear knob has been reduced to cut the cost.
Ride Quality & Handling improved due to less weight.the rear suspension is softened a bit.so it is not that stable around corners.tends to get wallowing at high speeds.should have used stiiffer suspension like swift.the car is now easy to handle now.its quite natural due to less weight.a car which weighs less will always be easy to handle,but i would prefer much more solidly built vehicle than a feathery light vehicle.
Final Words what maruti has done is,it has increased the look of the desire,both interoir and exterior,reduced its length,reduced boot space,reduced the amount of solid metals used,so by doing this company has reduced their production cost and made more profit.by reducing the length,the company has got excise benefits.but they have not passed on that benefit to customers.they will introduce a vehicle with a reduced price tag first,will create a long booking list and by the time the car reaches the customers maruti have already increased the price of the car by nearly 10,000-15,000.this is a trick maruti is playing every time they launch a vehicle.then, is their any meaning in saying that maruti vehicles are economical to buy? if they are cheap,the quality of vehicles are also cheap.maruti vehicles had a reliability earlier.but now the company knows all the tricks to fool indian buyers.people of india never realize this. we always talk about looks,mileage,0-100 etc.but have any one considered how much solidly their car is built?is their car worthy of such a huge premium they are paying?

Exterior FOR THE FIRST LOOK IT LOOKS GOOD BUT THE THICKNESS OF THE SHEET IS VERY POOR.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I liked the dashboard colour and lift of the music system, and QUALITY SUCKS. After 13k kilometer there is noice in interior which cannot be solved by service man and company speakers lost there clarity.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox MY car engine is giving a light sound which can't be found service person and cannot identified by Computer. As it comes to fuel I am getting 14-15kmpl in city and 16-17kmpl in highway I specifily checked for 50 kilometer at speed of 80a, and every car has 1st and reverse gear problem it has told by the service man.
Ride Quality & Handling Turbo charger is good pickup is ok as per me but Handling of the car is very poor i own vdi and I dont know of zdi..and Quality of spares I dont thing they are good. My break pad gone for 10000km. I was told that my driving problem. But my fiat punto break pads worked for 21000km.
Final Words THINK BEFORE U BUY OR TRUSTING MARUTI. MY FAULT WAS TRUSTING MARUTI.

i have pruchased a maruti car last year but i am now frustated with the quality of the car and the service provieded by the service center. the car's door rubber is melted in 6 months and the doors make noise and your servies provider haven't solve the problm. we do feel that we have paid 8 lakhs for a ladha gadi. i would like to suggest that do not purchase maruti car coz ab maruti m koi dam nhi rha h aap isse leke dukhi ho jayegay sabse ghatiya car h bhul ke bhi mat lena iske gate ke rubber 6 months me kharab ho jate hai maruti ki current quality se dhukhi ho gaya hu worst car ever purchased wasted my 8 lakhs and tym too
