I have driven the car and felt the comfort ride. The fuel economy is a major plus point. Over all Swift dzire rocks.
The Swift DZiRE retains the cheeky appeal of its hatchback sibling with a more premium look. Though the front fascia looks almost the same as the hatchback, it has got a flashy chrome grille and slightly sharper design headlamps.
From the side, the sedan has a complete redesign compared to the hatch, especially from the second pillar. It has bigger doors and larger window glass areas that make occupants feel roomier.
The DZiRE’s back is entirely different from the hatchback. The trunk lid is raised and has a lip that merges with the shoulder line of the car. A thick chrome garnish on top of the rear number plate attempts to offset the heaviness of the oversized trunk lid. The rear also flaunts new clear-lens combination lamps.
The car’s interior has a luxurious look and feel with the use of good materials. The steering wheel is the same unit that is offered with the Swift and SX4. The instrument cluster has round dials with chrome surround and features a white backlight.
Compared to the hatchback, the most notable changes in the sedan are in the top-end variants that now come with standard steering mounted controls for the music system and the new music system has been well integrated into the dashboard to add a lot of charm. The DZiRE also has a comfortable seating position for the rear occupants compared to the Swift hatchback. The rear seat backrests are angled at 27 degrees.
The VXi, ZXi, VDi, and ZDi come with quality fittings like integrated audio system, tachometer, and convenience features such as audible headlights-on reminder, centre and front cabin lights, vanity mirror, rear seat center armrest, and front electric power windows. The top-end ZXi and ZDi variants are equipped with more upscale features like front airbags, ABS with EBD brake assist, rear window defogger, adjustable tilt steering, and automatic climate control.

After my purchase in september 2007, I have driven almost 9000km and i have only good things to say about my swift dzire.First of all the driving comfort is superb. The response on the gears and theaccilerator is very good and the feel of the car is great. The only thing bad about the caris the reduced leg room in the back especially for a tall person. For women the back seats are ok. I chose the colour silky silver and the looks are terrific. I have driven the car continuously for some very long distances and the performance is just great.

I got my Dzire Zdi in August first week and love it ever since the first day.
When I was looking for a car for myself, there was none this category/price range offering the same/similar set of features. That way, its a great buy.
I have already clocked 14000 Kms and besides the plastic rattle inside the car, dont see any other problems that I can complain about. Plastics inside can be improved for sure. It also hurts that its really really hard to replace the built in music system. No dealer has agreed to even investigate if its possible to replace it. In my previous car I had Sony Xplod and the current one doesnt even come close to that. I want Sony, but nobody would replace it for me. :(
The economy varies between 19+ and 16+ depending upon the road I am driving. On highways, its normally 18-19+ . The service centers though need to handle this car better. Lot of times, they dont have a clue about things. It hurts that they treat this same as Swift. :(

I bought my Vdi in Dec.30,2008. Since then I have driven about 3500 Kms.
The car is really wonderful. It justifies the wait period of about 10 months. Its very comfirtable, No Noise, No vibration, wonderful pickup and amazing mileage of 21 Kms/litre.
In the past I have Driven Indigo but if I compare Dzire Vdi with that I willhave to say that TATA can only make commercial vehicles.
There are some drawbacks in Dzire too. 1. Rear leg room is less. 2. Audio doesn't match with the class of the car.
some of the goodies expected from Maruti---1.Power windows should operate from remote. This feature is not costly. It take just Rs.1500 ,more if you fit it from outer mkt.2. Turn indicators on ORVM.3. removable , Washable Foot mats should come with the car.
Wonderful performer, Vdi giving 21Kms/litre, no noise, no vibration, never feel you are in diessel.Less rear leg room, Audio is just good. Doesn't match with the class of the carఎక్స్టీరియర్/స్టైల్స్

it is very good car according to the interiors and according to the driving way it is good for every interior i like the car for every thing of its interiors . it is very good car for the families which can afford its price but its price is excellence for its interiors and for the comfort also. this is worth for the money which any one can spent for buying this car and this year i think this is the most in demand because the cost of the car is according to the comfort but the i think the cost is less in front of demand , comfort

I bought this car when I was looking to upgrade my car from a Tata Indica V2 to Swift. I drive a lot daily around 80 kms so I was looking for a diesel variant. Fiesta and Verna were a little out of budget so Swift was the only option left for it's improved diesel engine but feeling of a hatchback remained. It was then when my good froend Shrray suggested me to wait for a couple of months and check out Swift dZire. I must say that the wait was worth and all the thanks to Shrray whi has been associated with teh Auto Industry past 4-5 yrs now had a very wise advice for me then. dZire is low on price excellent in fuel economy, interiors are way better considering Maruti has been constantly had to compete with teh Hondas and Hyundai now so they are getting there every year. Inner space is similar to the Swift but the huge BOOTSPACE of 365 ltrs is what really helps to carry things around and somehow the feeling of a sedan is there. Styling is average considering the design of the boot was an after thought but nevertheless the car is a bliss for for it's gresat mileage and pick up too, if you have drive Verna CRDi, even dZire is not all that bad in it's take off. Over all ride is smooth and satisfactory.
Cheers to Shrray again and Maruti Suzuki.

Dear All,
It is said that all nice thing come in small packages,But I had a medium segment package to enjoy.I waited for 12 months for this car, just for the type of pick up i experienced during the test drive, It gave me a feel of pickup as of "merc".Every function of the car is extreamly responsive which add to driving pleasure.The evolution process of 'swift' itself is the saga of perfection and ' swiftdzire' has added excellence to this perfection.
I happened to be at the maruti dealer during its launch that point of time it was ok car for me but after a test drive i desired for this car. My budget did not match this car. But i decided to wait to fulfill my desire & get my budget match this car.During this process i understood that this car is making a history by becoming the most dezired & is making a very silient statement that is"Dare to be Dzired" as i do you can..............

Sir the first reason to select this car is this is ideal for any executives to drive to office or any orher place. Myself itself is using this car and perfomance is mind blowing. My car has already clocked 20000Km and i have not even felt any single problem in my car till now.
The fuel efficieny is to good that If i take car with three members from Hosur (Tamil Nadu to chennai) the kilmoeter cost is cheaper compared to a three person travelling in a ORDINARY GOVERNMENT BUS. Then what else to tell

I am owning Dezire LXi. My car completed 9000 km. Its offering a good milage always between 16-14 with a.c. Its very peppy and apt for city drives. Elctronic power steering is too smooth. This car offers better control than normal swift. We can enjoy the highway ride with dezire. Grear is too sporty in nature. It has a poweful a.c keep us cool.
The car is too good for executives, since we are not travelling much on a daily basis. The fuel efficiancy is affordable, also we cannot compare the smoothnes and power of petrol engines with diesal engines.Many of my friends complaining about the jerking vibration of the latest generation diesal cars. also in india we cannot expect right quality diesal, this can cause more problem to diesal engine.
Dezire petrol is a good car and value for money.

Its been almost a year since the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire was launched. And quite surprisingly thaere has not been even a single advertisement to be seen anywhere.And the car is not readily available anywhere in the country.There is a waiting period ranging in months from 3 to 6 months. But then... the number of bookings does not seem to come down in any measure;People are ready to wait forever to get their hands o this one. Now these are signs of a super successful car.
Most people think that this car does not look that great.It seems like 2 differnent cars fused into one. But then the looks grow on you. Ive owned this car for over 4 months now & the car is just wonderful. The engine is just the same as the Swift but the minute retuning of the engine has only enhanced the engine. It works just great.
This is a car which totally personifies the phrase 'Value For Money'. Great pricing,Great fuel ecenomy, Almost Maintenence free, Looks great(subjective, though i love it), quick n efficient.More & more people tend to like this car by the day. In terms of the other cars in its segment it is by far the most price worthy in terms of pricing n efficiency. A sedan at this price is the best thing that could have happened to us the customers.
