Verito has good looks from outside. This is my personal assessment. Many people find the car still like Logan (box shape etc.). Yet I feel that Verito, with small modifications, has an improved look. It seems to be a seasoned person's car, not for young people.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Cabin space is good. The car is wider than even the Manza. Three persons can sit comfortably in the back with ample leg room. Front seats are also quite wide and comfortable for long drives. There are some controls which are placed at odd places, but I feel that one gets used to them very soon. The indicators are placed on the left and it may take time to get used to them.
Quality of plastic, fabric etc. is good keeping in view the price of the car. One can not expect top end material in a car of this price range. Yet interior is pragmatic and should be OK with most of the buyers.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
The best part of the car is its engine and the power that it emits. Even though the diesel engine produces less power than manza, yet there was no lag in acceleraion and torque. In hills, torque is more important than power and Verito does the job appreciably. The gears are smooth. The brake padel is a bit hard (wooden feel it gives). But the engineer told me that it will become somewhat soft after some use.
Fuel economy is very good. Mahindra cars have lived up to their claims. Though I could not test the car for long duration, but what other users have told me the fuel efficiency is more than expected. I will get my car in a few days and I am going on a very long trip the same day testing the car in all sort of conditions. After that I will again write this review.
Ride Quality & Handling
Handling of car is exceptionally good. Ride quality is fine and one feels comfortable. The steering is smooth and respsnsive. First time buyers should be careful with steering as it is very responsive. I did not get the feeling that I was driving a bigger car.
Final Words
What I feel from the test drive, this car takes the cake. At this price point, one can not expect feature of very high end cars. But this car has all those features which are needed by a common user. Go for this car without a second thought. I said elsewhere that as a good looking girl may not be a good wife, so a very good looking car may not be the best option.
Areas of improvement
Boot lid needs some more improvement. Audio system is needed in almost all the varients.

Exterior It has an appearence that appealed to me.it has straight lines .i love straight lines.they say beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder dosent it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) It is very very spacious.there is ample leg space in the back compared to dezire.i had a swift previously and leg space was poor in the back.i prefer space inside to so called beauty outside.thats why i call this car a very practical car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I am getting 22.9-23 kmpl for diesel.what more can i ask for.engine is smooth and it handles any sort of road condition well.gear ratios are well matched with the engine and nvh levels are appreciable.altogether a well made car as i did not hear a single rattle or squeak till now.
Ride Quality & Handling It has ample ground clearence for our road conditions.it also remain planted on tight corners as the wheel base is wide enough.
Final Words The verito man is a highly practical man who has placed his hard earned money in the right investment.
Areas of improvement The rear boot can have a grab handle and reverse lights could be made in a pair.the indicator and wiper controls are placed on opposite sides and it will take some time to get used to, but I have now done 1300 kms and is fairly comfortable.

so spacious, very good leg room for frnt and rear passangers,three peoples can easily seat even in long jurney, rear 3 head rest is very useful and comfortable.and above all nothing like to say about boot space, boot space is sufficient for my whole family's(5 members)luggage for 5 days journy.

engine is very powerful but rather noisy but it dosn't matter against its fuel economy. i can not understand why people are saying over all milage is 15, when i get 21+ every time i calculate. gear box is very small and smooth, i can't feel any big diffrence between verito and my getz crdi.

when driving even in high traffick condition you can not feel any difficulty. high ground clearance is big plus point of verito in off road driving. handling and controling of car is excellent.

in budget of around six lacs what would you acpect more than these?

I'm an engineer and I test drive 8 to 10 cars before select verito. good sedan car in low price.
Exterior Its not looks so luxurious. but new feature like roof rails, rear spoiler and rear symbol-mahindra make look good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Nice comfort-suspension, negligible vibration even diesel engine. good space-3 person on rear seat can comfortably. For feature its not so good. All r power windows but buttons r at wrong places. mp3 player is too cheap-just for show piece.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Overall performance is great. gear box is smooth. negligible engine noice & negligible vibration inside car. 18 kmpl with AC at 100 km/h speed and above 22 kmpl without AC. There is no effect of AC on acceleration in ghaat or hilly area.
Ride Quality & Handling Very smooth in handling, you can ride comfortably for long distance. large space for luggage. good controll with ABS. but airbags only one for driver only. Smoother even above 100 km/h.
Final Words Its not a luxurious look car like fiat linea or vento. but body material and safety features are of good quality.
Areas of improvement MP3 player, AC makes fan noice and not so effective like maruti-suzuki cars.

Just wow....when i talk about driving comfort, space in offer...we get very good leg space for both front and back seat passengers, seats are designed very well to give you very very comfortable ride for long drives, So far i have driven around 350KM after purchase and longest i drove was 60 KM and through out this i did not feel tiered, or uncomfortable while driving & my height is 6ft 1 Inches. The back seat passengers also get the good comfortable seating & head rest. I can easily say that this is one of very few cars which has comfortable seating space for 3 adults in the back seat. Suspensions are best in the class, you just dont feel the bad roads, shocks gets absorbed very well. If i dont tell about AC then i might not be writing the review properly, for AC i have just one word, mindblowing.....i have not seen immidiate cooling effect in my old swift, or any other MS cars...This one is amazing, hats off to the performance of the AC. Feeling hot switch the AC on and it obliges you by cooling the cabin within fraction of second

Well....1.5DCI Renault engine is amazingly tuned for both city and long drives.....There is minimal of turbolag in 1st gear...guess that very common in diesel cars....But if all the gears are changed within the span 1000-2000RPM this machine is very smooth to drive. Other wise also this Renault engine is very powerful.....I like the vechicles pulling capacity in 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th gear a lot....i just enjoy the drive in these gears, Since this vehicle as good pull in all the gears frequest gear shifting is not required. Till now i recollect of maximum gear change till 2nd gear when speed breaker comes or bad road comes. I put 1st gear only when i start from the stationary position. I never got a feeling that i am driving 66BHP engine....reason being the engines amazing pulling capacity with or without AC
Gear change ratio is good, since you dont need to shift gear downwards frequently i am sure the person driving will love to drive this car
Fuel Economy not measured completely, but what i can see from odometer is 15-16 on an average for city driving with AC, but i have to check the mileage accurately using the full tank to full tank theory. I am sure will get the accurate reading at that time. I am expecting it to be around 19-20 in city with the new measuring technique

After writing all this review guess it is understood that this section also will be amazing in the car, and yes thats correct, ride quality and handling is one of the best in class

Only in terms of features.... Well...very less as this variant comes with most of the features, but 2nd airbag, tilt stearing, audio and bluetooth control on stearing wheel etc......but these all are just luxury features all bare basic safety features such as ABS, Driver Airbag are there in the vehicle

I bought Mahindra Verito D4 in Oct 2012 and driven 19000 KM [Self Driven]. Here is my experience.
This is my first Sedan car to own and drive and having a priciple of purchasing vehicles without loan. I went to this car simply because of mileage and space. After driven 5000 KM, I suffered lot by "clutch and steering. By this time I had driven diesel varients of other diesel cars of same type,. After comparing same problems of my car with the other cars, Mahindra Verito D4] has "very very" hard clutch, Steering is also hard.
I am not a taxi driver, I m doing bussiness, counting days to change car and every drive goes as devil drive.
Final Words If you drive car everyday like me then prefer bycycle rather than verito because you get less pain in legs in cycling rather driving verito diesel.

Smooth and refined gearbox and engine. Fuel economy is good - I am getting on an average ~ 14 kmpl (city + highway combined together). Individually - City is about 12 kmpl and highway is 16 - 18 kmpl.
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent - both in city and highway driving. Shock absorbers and height of the car makes you feel as if you are driving an SUV.
Final Words
Value for Money, Go for it as it if you want an optimum performance at a reasonable price with excellent space and riding comfort.
Areas of improvement
Side cladding for G4 version should be body coloured to give more appeal to the aesthetics.
Stereo and Remote locking in G4 version should be added.
Mahindra should focus on smaller details - e.g. only 1 Turning indication lamp inside in the panel whether you turn on the right turn / left turn or parking indication.
Value for Money, Spacious, Smooth Gear Box, Digital MeterSide cladding for G4 version should also be body colored.
