For the pleasure of driving

Buying experience: In 2018 when i was looking for a family sedan i was looking for most importantly power and rear AC vents along with it being an automatic (so both me and my wife could ride this) - little did i know/think that i would buy the Verna. Here is a quick review of the cars that i checked out 1. Maruti Ciaz:- Great leg room and spacious - and would have been a great choice if i had a driver - but i am myself a driving enthusiast. I dismissed it for its lack of power and the automatic i drove had a clear lag when the accelerator was floored 93 bhp. 2. Skoda Rapid:- Best steering - very light and easily manoeuvrable and best looking front grille in its category. Dismissed this again for the lack or power and drive-ability 3. Honda City:- Great looks sturdy feel - no C - pillar so no blinding during turns. Took this for a long test drive but somehow wasnt quite happy with the way it drove as it did not feel quite smooth. 4. Hyundai Verna:- This was just launched and was still not in very many showrooms. In fact the hyundai dealer was more interested in showing me the Creta and i was leaving through the front door when i saw a Hyundai Automatic diesel being taken for a test drive. I insisted for a test drive and took it out - the automatic version did not exhibit any lag when the accelerator was pushed. Great features in terms of rear AC vents and ventilated seats as well as rear view camera. While taking the test drive i got a taste of the "quick acceleration" acceleration feature and was very impressed and insisted on another round in the car. I knew that i had liked this and did not waste any time in giving the cheque for this car
Riding experience: Its been and continues to be an awesome experience from the time i have bought this. While taking it out on highways i always like to defeat trucks and enjoy its quick acceleration feature. The cruise control gives the much needed relief while driving on express ways and highways. The ventilated seats give much needed relief in the hot summers while playing music through its audio systems. The moon roof makes for a great view of the skies while taking the family out for night drives. Long drives bring out the greatest satisfactions and pleasures of buying the Verns
Details about looks, performance etc: The power delivery is quickest and the engine responds almost instantaneously - the breaking is equally strong and powerful. The car feels sturdy and grounded at high speeds of 120-130 - while the six air bags are a source of safety.
Servicing and maintenance: As far as maintenance is concerned - the first few services are free and paid for by the company. Itis better to seek an appointment with the dealer before taking it for maintenance.
Pros and Cons: Fuel consumption is on the higher side - and the average starts to peek up on highways. Its smoothness is the best in class
