I bought i20 as my first car in October 2016 from a new dealership in Faridabad and the whole experience was good, I've driven my i20 for more than 52000 kilometers and I would say only one sentence about the ride quality of this car "More I drive it, more I fall in love with it". The car is just fantastic to drive on almost every kind of road, I've driven it in mud, badly patched roads, super smooth highways, city roads, sand and roads filled with water and I would say that it has never disappointed me. i20 doesn't feel you are driving a small car, a drive is very smooth, it feels planted and connected to the road even on speeds above 150kmph, I've driven it to a maximum of 184kmph on Kundli Ghaziabad Palwal (KGP) expressway. I rarely feel tired while driving this car, in fact, I alone have driven this car about 900 kilometers in a single day from Chandigarh to Udaipur. This car has a ground clearance of 170mm, the extra 5-10mm may feel very little but it is enough to get the car out of almost every bad situation. Few points Mileage - 14-16 in city and 16-22 on highway (it delivered about 21kmpl during my recent trip of 1707km to Rajasthan, highways connecting big cities in Rajasthan are very good) Braking - Good for almost every situation but could have been better. Clutch - Little heavy compared to that of Maruti cars, but that's okay. Gearbox - very smooth and sharp Acceleration - enough for quick overtake during most situations NVH - engine noise rarely feels in the cabin until you are driving at very high RPM, at speeds of about 80-90kmph or till 2000 rpm it feels like a petrol car, vibration is also very less compared to other Diesel engines of similar capacity. Tyre noise definitely depends upon the quality of Tyre and the road you are driving on, my car came with Apollo alnac 4g which are probably the worst tyres out there, at 43k I got all 4 tyres replaced with the best available in Indian market, Michelin Energy XM2, Ride quality and braking has further improved, noise has also reduced by a very significant margin. Space - Space in back is little less for stretching the feet, compared to it's rival Baleno, boot space is enough for long trips. Design - Very good, most handsome looking car in this category. Music system - Very good and clear sound. Features - loaded with features, push button, reverse camera, auto headlights, auto folding side mirrors, auto dimming rear view mirror, cooled glove box, welcome function, internal music storage, front armrest with storage, rear ac vents, and more to rejoice. Material and build quality - top notch for this price, build quality is also second to none, however, build quality of VW Polo might be a little better. Sometimes I miss Cruise control which reminds me of VW Polo. All I would say that this is the best premium hatchback in Indian market. Awesome car. I love this car so much that I now afraid of missing this car if I ever upgrade to an SUV, if I'll ever upgrade, I'll choose only the Hyundai car.
