Exterior
To be honest i actually didnt mind the exterior looks and shape.Infact i liked it more as days passed by. May be i got used to it or fell for the car so much i liked every bit of it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Fantastic fit and finish. It ages so well. Exactly show room fresh even after 7 years. The quality of the plastics are so consistent. I just love it. So much kit. May be a cd changer with MP3 and ipod connectivity.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Fantastic pick up. Especially acceleration through gears. Only thing is the gear ratios. First and second are very short. And am slightly sceptical about the reliability. Mines done > a lac kms. But i've heeard horror stories.
Ride Quality & Handling
Fantastic ride. My mum hates every other car we've bought since then. It just steam rolls our roads. Nothing we've ever owned comes even close. The handling is very safe and predictable. Its not great. There is a bit of a body roll. But otherwise fantastic balance.
Final Words
Its a fantastic, fantastic car. Its competition ( The optra, corolla (not the altis), octavia) they were rubbish. The octavia excluded which had its weak links. the groud clearance was appaling and the diesel was not loaded.
Areas of improvement
Hyundai should have not withdrawn the elantra. It was and is the best hyundai ever. And i wish i can kill the boss of hyundai for with drawing this lovely machine. And i should not have sold the best car we've ever owned. :(
