Exterior Good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space fine. But the rear side tapers up more and for short people a disadvantage.
I find difficulty in sitting in the driver's seat and also to get down. The chassis is too low. Not at all comfortable Does not have a central lock for all doors. This is very important.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance. Always makes noise while reversing or engine becomes too high during idle time.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is fine.
Final Words NOT SUITED FOR INDIAN/BANGALORE ROADS. THE CHASSIS IS TOO LOW. ALWAYS TOUCHES THE SPEED BREAKER/HUMPS. I AM DESPERATE TO SELL MY CAR PURCHASED JUST 12 MONTHS BACK AND DONE ONLY 8576 K.M. FURTHER HIGH RISK WHILE DRIVING OVER HUMPS . I WILL NOT RECOMMEND HONDA CITY FOR INDIAN ROADS.
Areas of improvement HEIGHT FROM THE ROAD TO CHASSIS HAS TO BE INCREASED. Each time I drive and get out my knee pains. The chassis is too low. We cannot tell the Govt to decrease the hump height. Only honda has to amend.

Exterior The Ivtec 2011 City's exterior is more ageless than the new 2014 car. 2011 had the HONDA look, while the new 2014 seem to get lost with the new designs of Verna, Fiesta etc. 2011 exterior will live on through the ages and will command the HONDA brand.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good, but should use seat material which are easily washable. Front seats can be redesigned with cushioned bucket/race seats to offer more space and comfort at the back. Console/Dash can be better and easily organized to maintain a luxury look. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Amazing pick up,power to weight ratio is th ebest in its class. Under long continuous drive the fuel economy reaches 17 to 18 k/l. Does not need frequent maintenance/service. Value for money performance.
Ride Quality & Handling Stable even under high speed turns, driver's car, however given the illogical designs of road bumps one hit to the under carriage can damage the alignement of your back and front quarter pannels. YOu can see clear gap.
Final Words If Honda takes care of the few small adjustments, no car can come close to it in this segment.
Areas of improvement Ground clearance. Service timeline & cost. Should be logical in ensuring that the service schedule should be based on mileage to set them apart from outher manufacturers. Customers are looking for rational and differentiators.

Vehicle is good, but the service partner Sundaram Honda, Chennai is pathetic and horrible.
The service provided is really bad and their intention is to only charge and not provide service. 3 to 4 times I had serviced my vehicle and the bill was fat. Next time I get such bill, I would tear it and throw it on thier face. They dont clean the vehicle, but they know to charge a fat bill.
I enjoyed the vehicle and its a nice variant. I have purchased the Diesel variant, its slightly lower than Hyundai, but still comfortable.
People sitting on the front will be comfortable, but in the back its hell. But in Verna its uniform and good. The quality has degraded from 3rd generation, but still made out of decent material. Overall, it is a nice vehicle, but pls do not buy it from Sundaram, as they are a fraud.

Exterior Head lamps form moisture inside, honda not able to resolve.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Quality issues within weeks of purchase, lack of accountability from dealer, Honda India's lack of accountability in responding and resolving issue of moisture formation in headlamps frequently. This is not expected from tier 1 companies like Honda.
Ride Quality & Handling Good.
Final Words Poor response and accountability after sales. Bring in more customer focus, would not buy another honda. If any one wants details, I have photographs of the moisture formation issue I am talking about, which Honda is not able to resolve.
Areas of improvement Customer focus when issues arises, response times, address quality which was projected as Honda's USP. No one expects head lamps to have moisture formation, and dealer, honda not able to resolve. Be more transparent, have more control over dealers, I feel Honda has no control over dealers' non performance.

I really doubt, those who wrote bad comments about this new car, is really meant it? because, its too an early stage to make such comments. the car deliveries are not yet begun. I made a test drive on this car, and i felt its very good on road. Only missing is CD player..but, is it a really problem? a flash drive of 8GB only costing Rs800 and it can fed with 1000s of songs....Price is not really higher...because, the earlier VTECH model was as costly as the new city...may be slighly higher than the new city. But the new city is fully loaded...ABS/dual airbags and all latest features...except climate control and Alloywheels.. If it that also been provided,then whats the difference between Civic and City? Alloy wheels can be fitted if you like to purchase at a cost..
More over, if some wants to buy a good petrol car which provides 15kms/ltr, with ABS/Airbag, between 8-9lakhs, then whats the other options available in the market?

My Frist review on Honda City VMT. Maybe helpful for new buyers. A Very Good looking and status car. If your travel is within city and ocassionally outing is good.
Fule economy is 10 in the City, 13-14 on the Highway (depends on speed, i travelled 100-130Kmph) with AC. No noise inside. Good AC. Boot Space is good.
Bad Things - Ground clearence, At spead breakers you have to go very slow, other wise you will listen sound, if you travel with 5 people and some luggage in Boot things will be more worst. At high speed 140 Kmph is not suitable this car. spare parts is costly.
Do not Think on Auto AC, maynot be useful. it starts automatically when car will start. so feature may not useful always.
Till now I travelled 2000 Km. but no problem interms of other things. people talks about power of the car. it is completely depends on driver. But when i used my I10, i travelled with the same speed. this car also same, i do not see much diffirence.
Expectation : For this cost At least 195 / R15 tyres. power folding mirrors (in the city is mandatory). Turn on indicators on mirrors.
I waited for vento, but vento may not compete with Honda city except price.

Exterior I had purchased a Honda City SMT in Jan 2009. The vehicle started rusting on the rear windshield and on the chassis below the battery compartment. When I checked the same with a friend who was previously working with a Honda dealer, I came to know that this is a normal complaint for Honda vehicles. He also informed me that unless I go legally, I will not be getting anything done by Honda. I contacted Honda One2One customer care and they clearly told that this cannot be covered under warranty and this has happened because of bad environmental conditions. I also own a WagonR which is more than 5 years old which is running in the same environment. But, does not have even a single rusting dot.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior quality is excellent. You have god legroom for the rear seat passengers too.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It has got a peppy engine. The fuel economy is awesome. I get around 13.5kmpl in city and >17.5kmpl on highways.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent. But, watchout for humps and potholes. The ground clearance is very low and hence the underbody touches all the humps.
Final Words Though the vehicle is excellent on the technical front, you cannot expect rusting to start on such a vehicle in less than 5 years. And Honda starts rusting in less than a year. I will never go for a Honda car again.

Exterior The specific arrow shot design looks smart and intelligent with the best looking rear view in the segment. Designed to cut through air effectively at high speeds without getting unstable.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The beige interiors give a luxurious feel once you step in with sufficient room for your legs with natural footrest for those sittingbehind. The large dash with its central console gives you a satisfying feel for the investment you have made.Never lets you down. Comfort is the best in the segment according to me with great cabin silence.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Honda has always been known for its well refined petrol engine and the city is no exception to it. You can enjoy your drive any moment whether you are in a mood to cruise or rev the engine. Gives almost a top speed of around 180kmph. Economy is 14kmpl in cities and 20.2kmpl on highways(may vary depending on your driving style and how You maintain it). Gearbox is butter smooth and you can literally shift with a finger.
Ride Quality & Handling Gives you wonderful ride quality how much ever you drive. A Honda is an asset that always remains faithful. Handling is amazing except during cornering at very high speeds.
Final Words Its the best mid size saloon in the segment from every aspect. Don't just rely on my words. Drive it to believe it. It won't fail you. But don't get disappointed by comparing to higher segment cars. and make a wise decision before making a buy. It's not just the features that you want but justify yourself why you want features like auto vipers and headlight in a country like India where monsoon stays for 2 months and you hardly come across any tunnels. The cars now a days drain your money with few features not necessary in India.
Areas of improvement Dash could be still attractive, tyres should be wider, reverse cam and parking sensors are essential as a standard feature. Led lining to the headlamps would have made the car just awesome.
