I always wanted to buy a Ford car. They are always a great vehicle in ride and handling, safety, stylish exterior aninnovative interior. I was very desperate to buy the First generation Figo. But I ended up with Maruti Suzuki Vdi Diesel as my first car. No Big complaints though except the fact that it has no airbags. I used it for more than 125000 kms under 4 and half years, thought its time for a change.
Looked at Grand i10, Nissan Micra, i20 Elite,Swift Diesel and when Ford launched the second Generation Figo, took a test drive and took the decision to go for it and got a 1.5L Diesel Titanium plus oxford white colour delivered on 2nd November 2015 as a gift for my First wedding anniversary.
I have used 1500 km until now. It is a pleasure to drive this vehicle around city in a Bumper to Bumper traffic (don't have to shift gears often). With Sync technology, once me and my phone gets inside then everything is hands free,you don't have to take your eyes of the road for making/recieving a call. It is very confident on highways even at speeds excess of 150 kmph as it unleashes the power of 100 PS and 215 Nm torque without any lag which can be seen explicit in my earlier vehicle.
Overall with a combination of easy manouverability in city and highly responsive in Highways of course with excellent mileage (17-18 kmpl for Bumper to Bumper traffic and 22-23 kmpl for highway driving), with technologies that doesn't let your eyes of the road while doing other tasks and most important safety with 6 Airbags. It is a great value for Money. I would recommend new car buyers to go for Ford Figo. Please do not get dragged by benefits given by other car manufacturers. Give priority to safety and safe driving.
Exterior Great looking car, escpecially the front Fascia with Astom Martin like Grill, Strong built and rear styling also looks good. It would have been better if Ford would have given 15 inch alloy wheel and HID lamps for Titanium plus version. It will look great for this vehicle. I am planning to get it from after market.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior feels great for the money, very spacious, and lot of storage options. Air-conditioning/cliamte control is best in class which lagged in my previous vehicle. Cabin is very quiet thanks to the good noise insulation. You will not be able to hear engine noise until 100 kmph with the climate control and Audio ON on highways. Audio system is very clear with controls available on steering wheel, you can change tracks, radio stations without taking eyes of the road. Boot space is pretty decent and rear seats are very comfortable.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox One of the best Engine in this segment and powerful and very much responsive without big compromise on Fuel economy ;dont feel like driving a diesel car. Gearbox is very much smooth, don't need to shift gears often in bumper to bumper traffic.
Ride Quality & Handling Excellent ride and handling. Suspension takes on the potholes very smoothly, With the increased ground clearance than the first generation Figo and higher than my first car. I am able to take off-roads and drive on water logged roads with great confidence.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The MOST important section! POWER, COMFORT, SAFETY and MILEAGE all go unbelievably at its best Hand-in-Hand. No current car in this segment has this POWER of 1.5 Litre with 100 BHP @ 1750 RPM.
I test drove almost all hatchbacks for almost 3 months, with so much confusion about which car to finalize. Figo was the last one I drove, and that's it!! The decision was made on the same day!! There was no comparison until I drove this Superb Diesel Engine!! To wrap it up, just drive and check for yourself!! (I can just go on-and-on).
Ride Quality & Handling SUPERB, you won't feel anything inside. Be it even High Speeds above 130kmph. After 3k-4k KM, the engine becomes more noiseless like petrol engines!!
Final Words The current Figo or Figo Aspire Diesel versions are currently the BEST Cars Out there if you are going for a Hatchback or a Sedan!!!
Areas of improvement None till now. The after Sales of Ford has also become very Strict and customer oriented!!

Purchased a Ford Figo (2015 model) three months back and drove almost 11000kms, and two tyres have got flat at a time while driving. BY GODS GRACE NOTHINHG HAS HAPPENED AND NO ONE INJURED. Complained to cauvery ford-Bangalore and they had forwarded it to APOLLO TYRES. Now the apollo person is saying that they can't do anything as there were cuts on the tyre and these doesn't cover under warranty. Asked why this has happened, they said due to rim pressure and break impacts and pit holes this will happen. Is there any road in INDIA where there are no pit holes or can we drive without applying heavy brakes. It totally shows that the quality of tyres provided with FORD INDIA are of low quality which doesn't withstand any pitholes or break impacts. Recently observed in the showroom that most of the vehicles are fitted with MRF ZV2K tyres instead of Apollo. BELIEVING THE QUALITY STANDARDS OF FORD I HAD PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE AND I AM TOTALLY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS. GETTING FRUSTATED ON MY FOOLISH DECISION OF PURCHASING A FORD VEHICLE

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine power is extremily good, when you accelarate you feel like riding a small gt car and the gear box is stunning. In addition to the high class engine performance, it delivers very good fuel economy. My avg fuel economy is 23.5 km/ltre and when on highways I get 27-30 km/ltre which is stunning for me.
Ride Quality & Handling This car has very good ride quality, even at 160 km/hr you do not feel any vibration or steering woobling and the brakes are excelent.
Final Words Overall the car is excelent for this price. No other company delivers such a performance car for this price and I am getting a very good after sale service from Kairali ford kottayam.
Areas of improvement It should be equiped with arn rest, adjustable rear head rest, psh start button and automatic headlambs. Duel tone interior can be more attractive.

Good paint quality. Acceptalbe levels of build quality for the segment. The rear doors are light.

Even thoough its has same width as swift,the rear bench feels bit cramped for 3 adults. Gets loaded with all features, including the safety package. Like all ford's AC is best in class.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Puts smile on its face every time you take it for a spin. Behaves like a naked bike. Still retuns good fuel economy. With ABS, breaking duities are well handled. Supension is on a bit softer side, but not hundai like. Garebox has long throws, but will get used it, similar to

Becasuse of soft suspension, there is a bit of body roll, but nothing that will concen you. Dont expect old figo like handling, can say same as swif if not better. Careful with your right foot, you will be doing illeal speeds in no time. It can cruse at 110+ all day with out swetting (abbeout 3000 RPM).
Final Words
If this has been from maruthi, all roads might have been filled up with figo's. Best desiel hatchback ever. Ford is trying hard to keep the service cost as low as possible. I have done 10K+, and my service cost is about 1900/-. Ford has now child parts available, and cost less than the maruthi. I have stoped using my bike in city, but I dont miss it, thanks to this littile pocket rocket, it sets me up every time I take it for a spin.
