I think every person should avoid buying this car... The Dealership booked the car on 17th of July 2014, promising a delivery by the end of August and till now there is no delivery... They even had the audacity of disbursing the loan telling lies that the car will come in a few days towards the middle of August... Amazingly now the dealership is ducking calls and the customer service seems clueless by saying they are trying to help but they are doing nothing. Everyone is just trying to push the buck on someone else in the hope that they will keep the customer occupied and involved in these trivial fights. What was amazing is that since the 17th of July, till now the dealership has not even placed a billing of the car with the plant and hence there is no delivery, which cam out in a conversation with the plant customer service… Are they trying to cheat people of their monies, earing some monies through investments, as the company is not selling cars, so let’s try to earn monies through other sources???? Really think the government should kick such companies out of the country and bar them from entering the country anymore...

I have an automatic ecosport, pertol version and I am facing a challange in performance of the car. There is a noise from the axil on turning. I have reported this multiple times to Dealer and Ford Motors but I am running from pillar to post to get the defect in the vehicle rectified.

I have reported the problem to both Gautambudh Ford-Dealer and Ford Motors India. I have been following up since last one month and the problem still persists.
A WORD OF CAUTION-DO NOT BUY CARS FROM GAUTAM BUDH FORD. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE, AND HAVE UNTRAINED STAFF.
I have a problem in the axil of the car. When the car is reversed, it makes a sound and this has been reported to the dealer within few days of purchase. The car has been called to the delaers workshop thrice but the problem has not been set right. I have written to Ford Motors India, but there is little response. Standard e-mail response is-"we are looking into the problem"
Areas of improvement
Ford Motors should have a mechanism of responding to customers in a timely manner.

PICK UP ND FEELING OF TORQUE IS COMPARITIVILY MORE IN 4TH GEAR DN 3RD GEAR.REACHES 80KM/HR IN JST 2ND GEAR.WOW.
IF U HV ALREADY DRIVEN A DIESEL CAR,DN U MST KNOW DT IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC U HV TO KEEP A DIESEL CAR IN 1ST -2ND,2ND -1ST,1ST-2ND GEAR(FREQUENT GEAR CHANGE) , BT IN THIS 1.5 DIESEL MOTOR FORD HV DONE A GREAT JOB, UNLIKE SOME OTHER DIESEL CAR.
FRIENDS U MAY HV READ IN MANY REVIEWS REAGARDING REAR SPACE.ACTUALLY WHEN WE ARE TALKING ABT SUV OR SUV WORD -THAN AN IMAGE FLASHES IN R MIND DT CAR HAS GREAT REAR SPACE, BT IN ECOSPORT REAR SPACE IS MORE DN DZIRE OR SM OTHER SAME SEGMENT CAR BT COMPARITIVLY LESS DN DUSTER OR SM C SEGMENT CAR.
THE PLACEMENT OF REAR POWER WINDOW BUTTON BEFORE THE DOOR HANDLE ID WINDOW IS REALLY WRONG WRONG WRONG, MAKING UNCOMFORTABLE TO SIT.

PLANET FORD is the WORST FORD cars DEALER. NEVER BUY ANY CAR from PLANET FORD Pune.
Salesman are found bribing from customers before giving the delivery of the car.
Accessories are made compulsory before the delivery of the car. If accessories are not purchased, they don't give you the delivery of the car.
Salesman are very rude & they do not have any manners to talk with the customer. PLANET FORD is not the place to buy a ford vehicle. Pathetic car dealer & very poor customer service by PLANET FORD.
Company should immediately change the dealer or Planet Ford should change the staff immediately. The car is a good buy and worth for money, But never buy from Planet Ford, Pune. go to any other ford dealer.
Good performance and very good exteriors. Fuel ecnomy is also very good (diesel). High stability on the highway and driving pleasure. Good interiors & dynamic exteriors.. overall car is very good & very good. The dealer choosen by the company is worst.

Exterior: No doubt good. Thats the only reason, peoples are buying it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Nothing..!! Have driven the car about 6000 kms. Feel like someone has inflated ford's small baloon callled Figo. Worst ever space at rear seats. Not comfortable even for TWO healthy persons..what to talk about Three. VERY Very cramped. Almost nil space in boot as well.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Nothing again. Have driven the car about 6000 kms. Steering wheel is so very poorly design. Feel like driving old MARUTI 800..That to be no-power steering type. Gears shifting is smooth. Fuel economy is about 14 at highway and less than 12 in Gurgaon city.
Ride Quality & Handling: Worst. even the Tata Vehicles are comfortable. Loads of Body Rolls for the persons seating at back seats. Gurgaon-JAIPUR (Distance about 230 Km) is horrible experience.
Final Words: Worst car one can purchase at 8-9 lacs. I am not any brand ambasdor of Duster..but...feel like has done big mistake by ignoring Duster, which atleast give feel of an SUV. So, friends..if you are planning to buy SUV with less than 10 lacs...must go for Duster/Terrano..A big No for Ecosports..It is basically a Ford Figo..with BEST exteriors. Nothing Inside..nothing in performance...nothing in comfort and thats why its is HIGHLY OVER-PRICED Ford FIGO.
They are charging atleast 2 lacs extra for the poor product. Hats off to Ford's Designer Only.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Useless. neither there is a pick-up nor performance as claimed by Ford! As far as fuel economy, Ford is a cheater, as against 19 kms. claimed, I have got just around 11 kms!!! As regard gearbox, it is not at all smooth and in fact the Ecoboost engine actually is a myth - with no power comparable to 16. litre engine, one ends up just changing the gears in city drive condition - no pleasure of driving.

Final Words Ford is a cheater. I paid much more for Ford Ecosport Ecoboost going by the tall claims - but right from purchase experience to performance, ford is a complete fraud!?!?

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lot of squeaky sound internally, possible the internal fittings are not designed properly.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Clutch and gear problems. Clutch plate had to replaced after 3500 kms, but the problem is still persisting and I have to haggle with Ford India to attend to the vehicle. Absolutely poor customer service. There are issues around their dealer SC Ford Goregaon and no action taken by Ford India.
Final Words Beware! Think twice before buying Ford India vehicle. Don't expect any service from Ford India. Very few dealers in Mumbai and in last three months, I have to send my vehicle to workshop for clutch/gear problems at least 3 times and the problem remains unresolved. I must have spent over Rs 4000 only for sending the vehicle to workshop.
Areas of improvement Customer service and quality of parts. Will Ford Company treat a customer in US in the same manner as in India?

Exterior As the EcoSport comes in to views, the first impression you get is of looking at a younger sibling of a european SUV. It has the aergo look while giving a sense of confidence on the build. Certainly a head turner. Yes! last but not the least, decent big tyres (16 inchers on the higher versions).
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lodz of gadgets, pockets and yes, doesn't feel like a boxy baby SUV lke its rival, but a foxy one. The dashbord styling is certainly upscale and give one a feeling of a luxury sedan to some extent. Space is very comfortable for 4 six foot adults, add a fifth n it will be a tight squeeze.

Areas of improvement Hmm... Dealership visit exeprience. Hey Ford guy's, we know today being the launch day, you will be having your hands full, but you DONT keep a customer waiting in the reception without even the reception acknowledging your presence.
The road test! Ford may be having a policy of letting only one person of the client's family have a test drive, but atleast be courteous in the manner you inform the client (Is somene in Bhavna Ford, Navi Mumbai listening).

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lots of gadgets. Perhaps a bit over the top with too many buttons. Fairly comfy seating for four adults / well-fed adults ! Decent head and legroom. Effective aircon.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Medium torque but great pickup once it gets going. Touched 125+ in no time which will give a run for their money to most of the compact sedans in the 10.00 lac plus category. Very easy gears. Engine practically soundless. Fuel economy ? Wait and see I suppose.
Ride Quality & Handling Tightly sprung with good ground clearance. Soft steering (smallish wheel) and responsive.
Final Words Contemporary technology. Great looks. Well priced. Good alternative to the over-priced Duster with far less features.
Areas of improvement Decrease the clutter in the dashboard or one would require a co-pilot to fiddle with all the stuff. Make the front bucket seats a shade bigger & more comfy. Come out with bolder colours like Yellow etc. also.
