      I have followed the car for last one year and booked within a week of its launch. I was lucky to get it fast. I own a mars red ecosport with ecoboost model. Total expenditure including accessories was 9.25L.


      Exterior: Look is great,although few dont like the chromgrill in front. I love it. It gives an aggressive look to the car. I do enjoy people noticing my car even today on streets.

      On the first day of my office, there was a crowd around my car noticing it and i had to take  friends mainly doctors on their request for a test drive. I am not exaggerating but a few changed their decision to buy other car after a single drive.

       

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Driver height adjustment is great. You can see a lot more with height adjusted. Talking on Bluetooth is clear and crisp and music/audio system is great. Sync is not that great and may not follow your command precisely(for example it may call mama in case of nana and play a song diff from your command).

      Mine is a small family so cant comment much on rear space. I feel it is adequate.

      Another thing i like about the car is the built quality. Its a solid car. Please try to open one of its door and you will come to know from its weight.

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: the car shows it power above 30-40 km speed. While overtaking if strong brake is applied, you have to shoft gear down or may feel underpowered. The car runs over small cracks with ease but stiff suspension is felt over moderate sized speed breakers.

      I have driven around 1700 kms and my average mileage now in city is around 12-13. Hoping to get a mileage above 15 after first service.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling: The best feature in the car. You can drive few hundred kms without tiredness. On my last trip to Puri, asked my wife to guess the speed and her answer was around 60-70. (I was driving at 110- my max speed in the car).

      Handling is very easy in city conditions and believe me you can move the steering with a finger only.

      You feel secure in the car due to solid built and the brake is perfect with ABS.

       

      Final Words: Worth my wait and research for last one year. I wait to drive this car every morning.

       

      Areas of improvement  :SUSPENSION CAN BE MODERATED. HEAVY DOORS MAY NOT LOCK IF NOT PROPERLY PUSHED.LIGHT SWITCH ELSEWHERE IS AWKWARD.

      Exterior - Looks are awesome. Very frequently I have to answer questions of enthusiasts, even in peak Delhi traffic by lowering the window glass. Such is the attention that this vehicle has achieved.  

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): driver space is excellent. Rear space is little crunchy for three but comfortable for two with one child. Only poor thing is the absence of head rest in the rear seat and absence of the RPM meter. Nevertheless this version of the car is graet with features like bluetooth (connectivity is quitre good), front power windows, inbuilt music system (excellent quality), theatre dimming etc. I dont know about the quality of cabin plastics but ford needs to improve on its fittings. The plastics have already started creating noise whenever the vehicle rides over a rough patch. This seems to be very irritating as sometimes my full attention goes towards locating the source of noise while riding rather than focusing on the traffic.  Feels like ford should give at least 2 or 3 more storage spaces for storing of important papers etc. The dash board is big and spacious.  

       

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: I felt the gears are bit titght, may be because the vehicle is new and hope for improvement within few months of usage. The engine is overpowered compared to the weight of the vehicle and the car cruises smoothly at 120 kms/hr in no time and without any notice. Only when the speedometer crosses 140 kms/hr then some vibrations are felt and the engine seems to be stressed. Mileage in mixed traffic (city & highways) with mixed AC use is around 17.5 kms/ltr. At high speeds the engine gives some metallic sound which I have observed in high end SUVs like fortuner.  

      Ride Quality & Handling: the driver's views are graet, from a height overlooking all smaller cars ahead. Ride is smooth and the power steering is a real fun and really soft. Only thing missing is a foot rest at my version, required for long journeys. Have already done 3500 kms in last 2 months, one round trip to Manali from Delhi that too via Jalori Pass (10800 feet and one of the toughest roads in India). This car has done well till date.

      Final Words: There may be many negatives in this car which may be overlooked as at this cost I could not get any other brand with this looks, features and performance. Its a true value for money. Cheers and all the best.

       

      Areas of improvement: Ford Officials...if you are listening....please improve the fittings of interior plastics so that it does not create any noise.....after all it is Indian Roads. 😄

      Exterior

       

       I  think it is eye catching but the front is looking bad.Overally the price wise it is a good package in terms of styling only adding few curves never makes a styling unique.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Not enough space a SUV should have.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       

      Some engine in higher version is good but others are worst .This engine is not smooth making odd noise if you are inside the cabin and after running for 100 or more km the heating  is felt near the driver leg.

      Ride Quality & Handling

       

       This is good for rural roads but not for urban or city roads.

      Final Words

       

        I think anyone should go for the higher end version because the engine NVH is somehow ok.You can go for it with a small budget and especially if you are not in a city like Bangalore or Mumbai. Something is wrong with the ford brand with such low quality is not at all expected from such  this brand .  “Do not compromise on the comfort or quality”. I think this is the punch line forgotten by ford engineers. Mahindra is selling some well known value for money packages.This is just added to the list.

      Areas of improvement  

       

       NVH wise the car was compromised for its cost, emissions norms and crash norms were not up to the mark. Some fault with performance tuning at long running conditions.

      Exterior Awesome exterior. Looks great. It is the best competition for Duster, looks of alloy wheels are good.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors dashboard is awesome. AC vents, tachometer is heavy with gud looks. Audio controls and output is also very good.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox the performance is very good, very silent, during our drive we had reduced the a/c and muted the audio to get the feel, it is perfectI have taken a test drive in chennai city, and I was told the vehicle is very ecnomical.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good I had a test drive on the busy chennai road and was very comfortable with front and rear view and the overall performance.

      Final Words After my test drive I straight away made the booking for a Kinetic Blue colour.I am waitng to take the delivery at the earliest.

      Areas of improvement Only upon using the vehicle we can suggest some improvements.

      Exterior Awesome exterior. Looks like a heavy suv. It is d best comptition for duster and ertiga, looks of alloy wheels r gud.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It comes with 91ps@4000 rpm, the performance is gud, am d first person in hyderabad to tak a test drive in mody ford begumpet. he said it vl giv 18kmpl. Its enugh wat els u need rather than diz. It is of 1500 cc with tdci. I love d performance and fuel ecomy of it.

      Ride Quality & Handling Ride qquality is gud had a test drive of 6kms in nekalace road. It is havng same performance lik innova which comes of 102 bhp. d sterring is gud not at al heavy. Overalll gud experience.

      Final Words On 26june i.e tday i booked d ford eco sport of higher version he said me dey dnt kne d price of vehicle it vl b nearly 10lakhs. Black color ford eco sport is gng to deliver in d mnth of august. eagarly waitng for my eco baby...😷

      Areas of improvement No improvments shuld b done for eco sport....but ford shuld get an vehicles in such types as ecooo to get sucided...😎

      Exterior

       Looks are personal but for me looks are Great. Few options looks good from front but sad from rear and Few options looks sad from front but cool from Rear but Ecosport is Awesome!Because of looks, Ecosport is Crowd puller. Its not like that everyone is watching ES because its new launch, many other Vehicles launched but ES is attracting everyone because of its Looks. Front gives Big car feel and Rear is awesome. That spare wheel at back gives is too good (in my personal opinion) and for looks I will give 5 Stars to Ford India. 

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

       Interior is similar to New Fiesta but looks better in ES. Gives big feel inside specially to driver. Ford engineers utilised space beautifully though size is compact. Sit on driving seat and its different from other Sedans & hatchbacks. Seats are comfortable and little space here and there for small things. Its 5 seater but 3rd is little bit tight specially if heavy built.They provided charging point for rear passenger too on right side but space where they placed is on left side too. I feel that space is slight waste as they could provide this point anywhere and utilised that space for seating comfort, 3rd comfortable I feel after calculating space. Ample leg space for front and rear passengers.

      As far as features are concern, its loaded with all necessary features. ABS+ Airbags for safety, automatic climate control, Sync powered by microsoft is very handy, I connected my iphone 5 and you can download phonebook and use voice command for calling, you can play music from phone. Music system is decent and quality is good. No need to upgrade even speakers. 

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

       I bought Diesel one because of our usage which is on higher side. 1.5 litre Turbocharged engine is already available in New Fiesta which outputs 90PS and 204Nm torque. Engine is refine and gear shifting is smooth with short throws. Clutch is also very light specially if I compare it with the one in Duster. Turbo comes into picture around 1500 rpms and I tested my car upto 110 kmph only as its not good to drive it on high speed when engine is new. Mileage should be around 15 as I didnt checked yet. 330 kms done after 2nd tank full and this time I will check what I am getting.

       

      Ride Quality & Handling

      Ride & handling is perfect. EPS is very effective and after driving ES for 17 days I feel Fiesta & Spark (our other cars) are very heavy and very low . I can see road easily and light clutch and light steering makes city driving fun. Steering feel is different on highway journey, good feel not as good as Fiesta but definitely very good. Drove it on no roads for around 3 kms with mud, stones and big path holes and my ES tackles them easily. 

      Final Words

      Its a beautiful & capable compact SUV. I saw few are saying its tall hatch, I suggest them to drive it and see SUV feel. Its the best from Ford and 30,000 bookings in 17 days is showing how good it is! If you want a compact SUV with great looks and you can wait, just book it! Worth waiting!!!

      Areas of improvement  

      Well, I feel its very good compact SUV and there is very little things Ford can do. 3rd person at rear seat is tight but I dont think ford can do much. Even 3rd is tight in so many cars including Fortuner. You have to live with it. Its too early to say this thing is not good or that thing is not good as I have done around 1200 kms only. I will see and update!

      REALLY SORRY TO STATE THAT IT IS PATHETIC ON MAINTENANCE.CLUTCH HAS FAILED THRICE IN SPAN OF 11 MONTHS AND CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR LESS THEN 18000KMS.

      I AM NOT A LEARNER AND HAVE USED MARUTI DEZIRE AND TATA INDIGO FOR MORE THEN 65000KMS EACH WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.

      ECOSPORT IS A GOOD LOOKING CAR WITH PATHETIC CLUTCH.ITS A HEAVY VEHICLE WITH WEAK ENGINE AND USUALLY GIVES PROBLEM WHILE TAKING THE CAR IN HILLY TERRAIN.

      First time it stood right in middle of the road when it was driven for less the 10000kms. It could have lead to a major accident as car just stood in the middle of the road. How can clucth fail so easily, after that clucth and fly wheel were replaced and again it failed in 15 days, again they changed it and now after 5 months and after running for an additional 8000kms. It again failed. Company should take up the matter seriously as clucth failure is becoming a big nuisance in ford ecosposrts.

      No doubt the car is brilliant. However this is true only on the titanium version of the car. Ecosport base-Ambiente and Mid-Trendline is unsatisfactory in terms of interiors and the front grill. It was a shocker to see that the front grill in the versions mentioned above is not chrome rather plastics. Erases the complete charm of the car. Interior the plastics used is very cheap. Not at all impressive. Any1 planning to buy base or mid version petrol or diesel, be careful. don't book without having a look at it... I bet will definitely make you think twice.       Exterior Both exterior and interior are attractive.Its a good rival to the Duster n Terrano.Ford should have given daytime running LED lights as standard.The rear tailgate with mounted sparewheel makes the car look like an SUV.😗

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The centre console is the best part of the car. The AC is powerful and hence the company didnt feature REAR AC VENTS. All the seats are very comfortable. You get rear reclinable seats.But there is no rear armrest.You could buy it in Ford accessories.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The car permorfs extremely well above above 2000 rpm.The car is meant for long drives. Even while cruising at 140km/hr you dont feel that u r travelling at that speed(in a diesel engiene).Gear shifts are smooth.In city the milage is about 13.5 at in highway is about 16.5.

      Ride Quality & Handling The SUSPENSION was bad at the time of purchase was hard. But gradually it starded coming good.The steering is soooo light at low speeds bcz ith electrically assisted.

      Final Words Since now, the waiting period has reduced one MUST purchase this car if you have any plans of buying a compact SUV rather than buying a DUSTER OR A TERRANO.😉

      Areas of improvement SHOULD HAVE GIVEN A POWERFUL ENGINE OF 2.0 LT DIESEL LIKE IN OTHER COUNTRIES.SHOULD HAVE PROVIDED REAR AC VENTS AND A REAR FOLDABLE ARMREST.

      Exterior Wonderful exterior. Looks rugged. It is a true competitor for Duster, Ertiga, Scorpio and other SUVs and mini SUVs. People will think now. It’s just one of the ways the Ford EcoSport makes life easier.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors/ dashboard is good. Button start, keyless entry excellent. If you want to use your phone or change the music on your iPod, then Just tell SYNC and it’s done.

      Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Expected to give 20 kmpl for diesel in highways and 16 kmpl in city traffic.

      Ride Quality & Handling Good ride quality. very good handling . pull drift technology make the steering easy and light.

      Final Words Indians are very much fond of SUVs. SUV shows power, and value for money.Value for Money with lot of features- a feature rich normal man's SUV. Special features include hill launch assist, automatic version, steering wheel uses pull drift technology. In the event of an accident where an airbag deploys or the fuel pump shuts off, Emergency Assistance uses your paired mobile phone to contact emergency operators and give them your exact location. The microphone is turned on so anyone in the vehicle can speak to the operator, even if they can’t reach the controls. That's extra peace of mind every second you're on the road. We can ask SYNC to read your text messages out through the car’s speakers for you. Your eyes never have to leave the road. Even if it’s an emoticon or a popular abbreviation, SYNC can ‘read’ it. If you’re parked and want to quickly send a reply, just choose from a list of preset text responses.

      Areas of improvement

      1. Reduced vehicle delivery time. 2. All versions should have R16 tyres. now only the top-end is having R16 tyres.
