Dont buy this car if mileage is your priority. Company declared 23 km/litre for petrol. But even after my first service and  3000 km i am still getting less than 10.

This is the worst promise and shocking from TATA. Please dont buy how low is the price. this is my personal experience. really disappointing as this is my first car.

Even the ac I use is always on single point. Till now 3000 km was driven its giving less than 10km/liter. Mileage very very poor(Petrol).

Exterior The car looks very different from other TATAs. Front grill looks fresh and new.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I personally like the seat cushion, seat finish, leg room space, height adjustable driver seat. The music console is very good and great clarity with enough bass punch.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Mileage very very poor(Petrol).

Ride Quality & Handling Smooth.

Final Words Don'y buy if mileage is your priority.

 In slow speed the steering is very light as feather but when speed increases its get quite heavy really was suprised to see such a change in the steering wheel.

Final Words

 Its a great car to buy with a small family drover around 945 kms in 3 days did the first trip from mumbai to kolhapur and back got a mileage of 24.9 KMPL driving comfort was great music system is way beyond our expectation its like a movie effect inside the car when you listen to music.

Areas of improvement  

 Need to give some space between dead pedal clutch brake.Unlocking of back door is quite bit of issue when not used to this car

Being a car enthusiast, It was in the year 2016 when I realized my dream. Back then I was hunting for a right car (decent hatch back with petrol power) with a budget of 6 lakh to suit my requirements. Compact city commuter, with occasional highway runs, decent and frugal engine, comfortable for 4 with enough leg room,and good driving dynamics were my needs. After lot of research, I had considered Maruti celerio, Hyundai grand i10, Maruti swift, Tata Tiago and Delta variant of Maruti Baleno. Of all the above mentioned car's it was Tiago which impressed me a lot and for the price it was offered it was hard to resist. It ticked all the right boxes of my requirements list, Very good looks(subjective), spacious and plesant interiors, high class infotainment system, generous boot, driveable engine with flat torque delivery, strong build and a superb handler. Though few of the cars mentioned above excelled in one or two parameters, they failed to deliver either in the safety aspect or my budget. Grandi10 was a close call but the budget was out of reach along with few equipments compared to Tiago. Then comes the word WHY TATA????? Literally I was Harrased ?? made fun for choosing the brand, but my decision was above all, with a strong mindset and trust, waiting for three months, I bought the sun burst orange Tiago xz p in the month of Sept 2016. People who spoke negative about the brand were awestruck with the quality and features and slowly started to love the car,, and the brand. But even now they are some brain dead people who prefer resale value above their life??. Ok, so about my experience with Tiago from 2016, To be Frank, it's good. The car has delivered more than what I had expected, Drove about 21k kilometers till date, and was never let down by the car, there are few niggles here and there but no car is perfect. Few things that can be improved is on the engine side and nvh levels. The 1.2l, 3 pot petrol is perfect for many occasions, except while overtaking, which has to be planned. Nvh level do increase when AC works in tandem. But not a deal breaker. Pros & cons, I would not call it as cons but area of improvements, NOT A DEAL BREAKER 1.Better NVH levels. 2.A bit extra under thigh support. 3.1l bottle front door pockets. 4.Adjustable head rest for rear seats. 5.Dealer training bit lacking. PROS, (NOTABLE) It's a pro among the B segment.?? LOOKS(SUBJECTIVE) HANDLING (CLASS APART) BRAKING MILAGE(16 IN CITY 19-21 IN HIGHWAY) INFOTAINMENT.SAFETY BUILT QUALITY GOOD SERVICE (PRERNA BANGALORE). Thank you TATA MOTORS,, Tiago as a product is a pure justice to the hard earned money,, and a love for driving.

I bought this car last November. Still i drive up 12 thousands kms. It's very good in milage and smooth driving. Now my Tiago is one of the member in our family. My car giving highest milage above the tata company referee in advertisement. Air-conditioning and audio systems are working in well.

I have taken the delivery of the Tiago Diesel XZ vehicle in June 2016 and have till now driven 12,582 kms, There were some glitches in the start like qirky sound from the back end etc but the tata workshop did really good job to get rid of those silly issues.

I have done three major trips in the last 7 months

1. Mumbai -Narisipura (Karnataka) (1600 Kms Back).

The ride stability was excellent me and my friend drove almost continously 800 kms one side as we both were driving and same in the return atleast 13 hrs of nonstop running on one side without any stop.

There was no vehicle heating issue the average was 27 KMPL for the whole trip but we had maintained a speed between 80 to 100 kmph per hour in ECO mode except Ghat Sections.

2. Mumbai to Shegoan (Maharashtra) ( 1300 Kms Back)

The ride stability was excellent me and my friend drove almost continously as we both were driving and same in the return atleast 13 hrs of  running with halts for breakfast lunch and tea.

There was no vehicle heating issue the average was 22 KMPL for the whole trip but we had maintained a speed between 80 to 100 kmph per hour in City mode and the road was very bad hence mostly were on the 3rd and 4th gear shifting the fuel economy got low.

 

2. Mumbai to Goa (Via Nipani) ( 1170 Kms Back)

The ride stability was excellent me and my friend drove almost continously as we both were driving and same in the return atleast 12 hrs of running with halts for breakfast lunch and tea.

There was no vehicle heating issue the average was 27 KMPL for the whole trip but we had maintained a speed between 80 to 100 kmph per hour in City mode as well as Eco Mode and the road was in very good condition except some bad patches.

After driving tiago on so much different routes i am now very happy that i have taken a very correct decision.

Its a "worst decision" by me, to buy a "tata tiago-xz". it "gives flip" while accelerating from 1st gear to 2nd & "tata service center" has "no answer" for it. actualy its a tata vehicles problem since indica. "Noise" from engine you can clearly hear inside from car while driving. "colour" also "fading" in 1 year. Tata "forgot" to improve "skills" , "forgot" to give proper "training" to all the maintenance guys from service center. They don't have answers for problem, as they also new to car. Overall : Performance - Average Looks - Good, Attractive Service and Maintenance - Poor, Un-Trained Staff Buying Experince - Okay Riding Experience - Average so i think tata will work on all this, & will wait for positive feedback from tata motors. hope they will not ruin their brand.

I am using Tata Tiago xz diesel ,I am using it for last 6 months performance is very good, compact,design and interior is terrific,but serivice is not up to the mark. Pros Build quality is good, interior feels like luxury one.power and pick is ok, music system sounds good. Cons Milage not as mentioned in spec, and serivice should be improved. Doesn't have reveres camera, GPS.

Tiago has great looks. It gives me great milage above 20 kmpl. Comfort is amazing. Its a fun to drive car. Its easy to drive. Slightly underpowered. I have drove my car for atleast 35 k km till date. Maintenance cost till date is very low,

I bought it on Nov 24 with my favorite color sriker blue and huge response and support from sale team and made me comfortable. when i first drive it feels like oooo, so good and so smooth. my first new car charms on the ride and attract people make me smile and pride. new looks to TATA made the game change in 2016 no comments on it so compact. feels bit low in highway performance and make me bit uncomfortable when five people in my car. MOREOVER IT SAVED ME AND MY FAMILY IN A VERY BAD ACCIDENT WITHOUT A SINGLE SCRATCH. TATA sry it is very poor in service quality feels i got problems after car went to service center.. poor.. true to say maintenance is low but sow room people make it more by there costs..... PROS. COOL LOOKS CITY CAR FOR PAKA AWESOME ASTHETICS GOOD PRICING SMALL FAMILY CAR GOOD MILLAGE SERVICE AVAILABILITY CONS. BAD SERVICE QUALITY ONLY SUITS CITY CAR, HIGHWAY HAS TO WORK WITH GEAR BOX ROUGH GEAR BOX LOW QUALITY MATERIAL BUT STRONG 14' WHEEL LESS SPACE FOR SECOND ROW MISSING TOUCH SCREEN AND REVERSE CAMERA BAD PAINT QUALITY BIGGEST CON SMALL ENGINE NEED TO SO SO REFINE. SUGGESTIONS: A four cylinder engine with more power which can make tiago as highway car. Increased wheelbase of 70-100mm which can make it more car for a family. A good touch screen infotainment system with Andriod and Apple PLAY.
