I had own Tata Tiago xz brown diesel it's a very good hatchback but it is made for city I think because it returns me good fuel economy and comfort inside the city but in highway refinement levels are pathetic.i also have Hyundai xcent sx option diesel it is very good in terms of all fuel economy and comfort. I love Hyundai also Tata motors

I have bought Tiago XZ Alloy which is top varrient. In my thinking tata dealer should have more professional in this segment. Secondly, car is very good in all respect and value for money also. No other company give this kind of qualities and facilities in that price. Car riding was comfortable to me. Very good and decent design in interior and exterior. Driving this car feel really powerfull engine whereas it has 3 cylinder which produce only 69 bhp. But cabin noise does not feel. Overall good car for lower budget.

Harman Music system is very powerful and loud sound feel like JLR and space is more than all hack back segment. The seats are very well cushioned but the rear end isn't very spacious and can be a little tight.Let me come straight to the driving experience. There is good amount of jerk when you start the engine probably due to the 3 cylinder motor, but thereafter it feels very much smooth and with low NVH. Mine is an automatic, and there is significant lag in the throttle response initially. Thereafter there is sudden response, which will take you by surpris.

1.One of the best car by price and utility when comparing with car in these segment. 2.Riding experience is good and better when compared to indica. The engine is very silent and it provides good comfort. 3.Looks very beautiful and aerodynamic shapes provide a better look. The front grill is looking good. But the logo is not so attractive. 4.maintanace is low 5.I feel the car is good for a small family.

Car is VFM in its segment , the best thing about car is ride quality which is top notch and ahead of one segment above . Harman music system is excellent with punchy bass Tried cornering car on hills and it didn't disappoint . Only problem it has some quality issues and not so best service by Tata which they r trying to improve though

Exterior Great stylish work.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great Music system which make drive very comfert. The real surprise lies inside, Tata has worked really well in terms of design, finish, fit and comfort. The quality of plastic used in the cabin is top-notch which altogether leaves a good impression. The two-toned dashboard is designed well, however the highlight remains the wide centre console which is separated in two parts, the upper one features air con vents & infotainment system and the lower part features temperature dials. There is also a small shelf for storage beneath temperature dials, two cup holders on floor console and one bottle holder on all doors. Instrument cluster gets two large dials and the three spoke steering wheel has been borrowed from Zest and Bolt. The hatchback scores well on space front and as mentioned above there are ample storage points too. Luggage compartment is quite large at 242 litres which can further be increased by folding rear seats.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Vibration is measure and only issue , other wise feature and function it is very good car.

Ride Quality & Handling Stearing is very smooth actualy this my first car and learn driving on this car so my driving experience is very good. this car have good tyre have wide base.

Final Words I am happy with this car but upset with service center service. Great car and safe car.

Fuel Economy Highway 26-27(Eco) 23 -24(city) in city 2 3 km lesser. note: I always drive with higher FE.

Good fuel economyEngine vibration noise is coming in cabin

Tata Tiago xz diesel is the first car in our family. Driven 9500 kms in 7 months. Smooth engine drive, comfortable, economic, cool exterior looks, nice interior. Comparing to other cars in this class Tiago is value for money. My experience about fuel is 24.7 kmpl for total 9500 kms and some trips like 170 to 250 kms it given 27 kmpl.

Nice comfort and boot space is large too as compared to other cars, valued for money car. Initially I faced roughness in gearbox but after 1st service its smoothness incresed, yes diesel model is little bit noisy and vibration is there too. I am really disappoint with AC as its not that effective and since m using tiago we are using fan speed full which again increse the noice.

Handling is perfect as its have ABS which is only available in top model. while driving above 130KM car comes on 50 within sec due to abs and its handling.

If u have budget of 6Lac go for it, tata have really improved the overall car features and performance.

I used car on both city and eco mode for long and city drive, its performance changed on both mode and Avg also changed by 2 to 3 Km/L (company claimed 27 but not giving more than 21).

Bought the car on 1-Apr-17 and driven 10,000 KMs and 2 free services completed. 

Exterior Looks good unlike other TATA models, Body quality is good.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good plastics are used. Music system is good. Even 6' feet person can easily seat in front or rear seats. Sufficient legroom and boot space when compared to Swift. 2 persons can easilty seat in rear bench but need to squeeze a bit to accomodate extra person.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gear shifts are good. But looks like 1.05 Revtorq diesel engine is under powered. We can feel that during driving in City as well as in Highway. Mileage is not that great in real world conditions. In city it is giving about 16-17KPML and 20KMPL(speed not more than 100 KM/H) on Highways. Engine sounds bit high when speed crosses 100 KM/h and will not get good mileage.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good within city conditions. Steering is very light.

Final Words The car is suitable in city conditions and also for first time car buysers / womens.

Areas of improvement Engine is underpowered and will be good if engine's CC and BHP is increased in coming versions.

TATA post sales services to be improved. I've given my car for servicing in Concorde Motors which is subsidery of TATA motors and not satisfied with their services.
