        • Getting a good piece from TATA is your luck. Also they do not care what the customer feels.
Exterior: exterior of Indigo Cs is undoubtedly good   Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) the interiro is good, In fact these two features are the trap in which a customer is trapped for life. either you have to carry on the high maintainence bill or have to sell the car on heavy losses. Particularly in petrol variants TATAs are nowhere. I would not recommend any petrol variant of TATA. In deisel too the after sales service brings the people to tears.   Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: all poor. Engine can give up any day once the vehicle is out of showroom. Never plan for future for changing vehicle in 2 or 3 years. TATA will not let you sleep in peace. It is the vehicle which may ditch you anywhere any day or night with no mechanic in sight to help you out. Even the tata service dealers are not capable tofind out the problem and rectify the same most of the times. Fuel economy : they themselves do not claim it to be very good. with frequent breakdowns you will not get time to check the fuel economy. Gear box: May be requring an overhall within the first two years. totally depends on your luck. They are not even ashamed of the poor quality of maintainence their service dealers are providing, that too on high rates. Repeated complaints to customer care, dealer, local branch didnt provide you any releif. Even the local market mechanics are unable to fix the problems of TATA vehicles in particular the petrol variants. Even the chasis and petrol tank of my vehicle got rusted and gave way in the third year of careful use, with regular service at TATA only. This is a reflection of the quality of sheet they are using.   Ride Quality & Handling:  With frequent breakedowns on and off the road, the ride quality is nowhere in the question. Handling depndes on how much can you afford on repairs from the very beginning. This is not Maruti vehcile that you dont have to spend a peny on it for the first three years. This is TATA, be prepared to pay large part of your earnings in the repairs.   Final Words: I would not recommend anyone to purchase a TATA vehicle because it is not the matter of variant, it is the value they extend to their customer. Not attending to complaints is not related to any variant but is a part of culture of an organisation.   Areas of improvement  : Overall quality has to be improved for the product. In addition customer has to be taken as a purpose of the sales and service centers. Instead they treat the customer as if they are doing some favour to him. Redressal of complaints need to be sympathatic towards the customer because no body has time to file false complaints to get any benefit from the company.    Indigo CS is a good looking car, spacious and that salllong lost of cons. every part changed within three years. no resolution on reporting, high maintaine

        • Lesson learnt of Tata Indigo GLS
Exterior No issues here. Good availibility of spares. Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The seats front and back are uncomfortable to sit for more than an hour. Wish thjey had few 2 inches more on the width. Dashboard is like its price on the lower side. AC is good. Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Bad pick up. Comparable fuel economy, nothing worth mentioning. Bad gearbox, had to be changed within a year of use. Ride Quality & Handling Almost everything except the body, axle, engine and chasis had to be changed since we bought it 5 year back. The service dealer Hans Motor And Banai Auto bothe kept recommending to keep putting in parts to the tune of more than 5000 on every visit and kept the car for 3-4 days. The work was of poor quality and called for revisit to fix up unfinished issues.  Final Words Better to use Rickshaw for city use than use Tata Indigo. Areas of improvement The assembly is very faulty. There is no place to escalate recurring problems. How come most of the faults in a car are to be seen in the model we have?Fuel efficiency, sturdyBad engine, cooling system, uncomfortable seats frequent breakdowns

        • Good car for people looking for value for money
I bought CS GLS petrol last year in late July, 2008. I have done 5000+ kilometers. As I am in Bangalore, because of traffic I don't use car for daily office travel. So most of the Kms has been done on long drives and weekend shopping :).Why should you buy this car?If you are looking for a car with loads of space but don't want to spend loads of money to get it, Indigo CS is the best you have in market right now. Infact recently they launched an upgraded version, GLX, which has power windows, defogger and some more cool stuff for bit more price. I bought it because of reliability of TATA vehicles and low cost of maintainenance and running. Otherwise not so many cabs would be Indica! Yes, they have service network across country and spares are cheap (if you need some). I bought a petrol car because I am not great fan of diesel cars. Also since my usage over a month is not that great, petrol vehicle does not hurt. You definitely get smoother ride with a petrol engine. The other thing which I liked about this vehicle is good suspension.I have driven the car at 130Kmph and it was very stable and response of power stering was pretty good. I have driven the car through hills (coorg and surrounding areas) in bad roads. The suspension responded beautifully, so did the brakes. If you are looking at mileage, I get around 15 on high-way with AC ON always and in city around 13 with AC ON always. That I feel is pretty decent given that it is a petrol vehicle. For the price it comes (costed me around 4.5L on road in Bangalore), I guess you get a pretty decent deal. Of course if you more jazzy features, you got to spend more :)The boot is pretty useful for all your weekend short and long trips. Actually that was one of the good reasons I went for this car. No matter how much space a hatch back offers, it would never be good enough than a full blown boot. I personally don't like carrying luggage in passengar cabin. I was tempted to buy Swift but decided against because of its cramped interiors and being overpriced. Things which I didn't like!I felt the engine is bit underpowered at 65 BHP. For a vehicle of this size and weight it should have more power. But it is not so less that I can't do with it. The car comes with exactly same interiors as Indica! Well TATA needs to improve a lot on plastic quality and on the look and feel of interiors. Overall it is a good car for the price it comes. It does what it is meant to do without much fuss!http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Tata_Indigo_CS-145864-1.htmlLots of space, Value for money, good suspension, good road grip, decent mileagesame old interiors, sluggish pick up
