Sit in front seat ask some one to put bootle in back of driver or side seat, ask them to touch from beack side you feel the hand touching you. if its nee you can get hard hit.
Good but the Sterio is getting heated at drive of 10km. dont know about the reliabulity.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Got burning smell in Ghat region, got hardly 14kmpl desile, Gears not smooth.

No quality drive, My Nephew is not will to come for long drives inthis as its giving head ache, you cant sleep happyly due the jerks of breaks, and shocks, and small breakers or so.
if you go at some high volume you feel head ache.

My family is not happy with this car, they dont want long drives in this. At high speed and high ways you dont expeirnce the problems drive normally and see in sudden breaks, and on small speed breakers, and sit in any other sedan and see the compfort ness on same drive. with small buper roads

Ford had dealers who fleece customers for selling the car, if you dont accept their terms then you dont get the car.these are LAWS of M/s GANGES FORD AT KOLKATA
1) Compulsory Insurance. They pocket all the OD discount of 40%.
2) Compulsory Body care cost of Rs6000/-
3) Compulsory 3rd Year extended Warranty of Rs9700/- approx.
4) Logistics charge of Rs7000/- whereas the goverment has approved of Rs3500/-
it seems Ford is also involved in this Malpractises as the complaints forwarded to their officers in Kolkata has not elicited any response. Happy Fleecing to Ford as you have the only model to sell and make money for the dealers. Also they feel that the Ecosport has no competitors so they should do as they feel. I think that the Ford Management should keep a strict watch on the dealers activites as not to give the company a bad name.

Exterior
The looks are definately eye catching and the car really looks awesome and people stop on the roads to actully turn and look at the car, the rear tyre actully looks very appealing and so are the side claddings and the turn indicators on ORVM, the headlight is propery mounted and gives a very good vision during the night, also to mention the headlight levelor actully works and helps a lot to the diffrent driving speeds.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
The interiors are comfortable and the dashboard is nice with the blue color used in the console lighting, the Manuall AC in my variant that is Trend is very effective and i have not been able to use in with full cooling mode even in the Delhi heat, the knobs are very nice and really controls the Aircon well
The Audio to mention is really good quality and you wont see a need to get a market upgrade as the sound quality is really decent, the position of USB is awkward and may stop you from seeing the audio information screen, also the Audio screen is hardly visible in the dayligh due to its upward elevation
The central locking system is good, but when you unlock the car it turns on the headlight in parking mode which may truoble if you have someone who cleans your car so while he cleans the lights are on.
Seats are comfortable and adjusts well for any hieght the steering mounted controls are good and comfortable to handle
The position of the Clutch pedal is a big problem as the clutch fot will always touch the steering rod and you will feel the steering turning while using the clutch.
A lot of bottle holder space makes it easier to carry the drinks etc....
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine performance is really good at 90 BHP i think the engine performance is much better then any comparison such a I20 which has a same engine in the Diesel varient, the gears are smooth and you really do not have to change much of the gears in traffic which is very comfortable to drive in traffic like Delhi, one can drive upto 100 on 4th gear and it wont make much of noice which is reallly comfortable.
Fuel Economy - i have been able to get a economy of 16 KMPL on the first fill with monsoon trafic of Delhi and its suppose to go up after 10,000 KMS of run in the diesel engine as the same happened to my Punto.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is satisfactory with the cost involved, ofcourse yu are supposed to get a better suspension in Duster but then the price involved for the sammilar model is higher by 2.5 lacs, it handles potholes and bad road really well and you would feel 100% better then any hatch or Sedan if you have with almost the same cost.
Ground clerance is same as of Scorpio so really dont have to bother while getting off the road to pass some cars in traffic, ofcourse its not a offroader but out roads in NCR are nevertheless to make you feel a need of high GC
The handling i believe is really good thier isnt a body roll like you feel in Quanto or Scorpio but yes the Duster has a better control over this aspect too.
I must mention this is a very easy to drive car and even a bigginer can really handle this car eassily as the higher sitting position makes it easier to drive.
The steering is really good and i was able to control the car well on speeds of 140KMPH and over taking the vehicles at that speed while changing lanes, i fealt confident enough to drive it at a speed of 160 KMPH
Final Words
The car is value for money without any doubt as this is my third car and i think its been better of them all, i have driven cars higher in budget then this and think this is far better then most of them.
Areas of improvement
Clutch postion / Parking lights turn on while unlocking / Buzzer system of lock and unlock and some sort of antitheft alarm as it seems to make no sounds on anything at all specially if a door is left ajar and car is locked it doesnt make any sound and may confuse that its been locked (this i think is most important)

The interiors are like that of a sedan but you feel sqeezed at the rear even for two passengers. Due to the space constraints at the rear, it gives a feeling of a hatchback small car. They should have taken care of this. The overall looks are impressive. A simple elevation of the body by increasing the ground clearance does not make it a SUV.
Looking at the competetion in this segment in the near future, it will depend on the dealers and the FORD Company to sustain in the market by giving a a comfortable & economical AfterSale Service. The information on mileage is not clear. The Sales Rep & Managers at Harpreet Ford, Gurgaon have different versions on fuel economy and the quality of engine. The linings of interiors is not upto the mark-it may peal off due course of time, if not fixed properly.
Looking at the excise benefit in a sub 4m category and the features provided by FORD, the cost of all the models are on the higher side.

On 15th July’ 2013 I had booked Ford Ecosport Trend Model (Diesel Variant, Chill Metallic Color) at Riddhi Ford, Mathura Road, New Delhi and I was promised by number of sales people of Riddhi Ford – Rohtas, Amit Ahuja & Nitin, that I’ll definitely get the delivery within 3 months, i.e. maximum by 15th Oct’ 2013.
I had mentioned to them that I need the car to be used in upcoming family functions starting 25th Oct which was the only reason for me to book a new car, and even after knowing this I was assured again and again by Riddhi Ford that I need not worry as I’ll get the delivery well within 3 months of booking.
It’s been over 3 months and Riddhi Ford has failed to deliver the car on time, as committed & promised. I have met and requested everybody numerous times at Riddhi Ford, even the Manager - Nikhil, however they are not giving any confirmed date or month when the car will be delivered. The only reason I had booked the car from Ford & its Dealer was that I’ll get the delivery in/on time (within 3 months).
As per the procedure, I have also filed complaint with Ford Customer Service (Complaint # 800044454) on 15th October’ 13 and have spoken to Ms. Shyamala several times, but she has also expressed her inability to help due to poor & non response from Riddhi Ford.
Further, I had booked the car on ex-showroom price of INR 7,60,990 applicable as on 15th July’ 2013 but now Ford has increased the price to INR 7,91,790 (i.e more than 4% ) effective 1st Sep’ 13. Ford and the dealer should have protected and honoured the earlier bookings (i.e. before 1st Sep’13) and delivered the car as per applicable prices on the date of booking.
The prices of ONLY Ford Ecosport have been increased by Riddhi Ford, not on the other cars as they have seen the opportunity to capitalise on customers’ money, trust & time.
I also believe that the delay in delivery is maybe because many of the dealers are selling the car(s) on receipt of black/extra/premium money (money received in cash without receipt) for an earlier delivery. Basically they are delivering the cars booked by us to such people causing the delay in delivery to us, and capitalising on opportunity to earn interest on our booking amounts.
Also, Riddhi Ford has been pressurising me to buy the car Insurance from them only, else they’ll not deliver the car; and I know they are charging much higher insurance amount compared to market price – an another opportunity for them to capitalise.
I request an immediate action - the Dealer should be penalised, fined and its dealership should be cancelled for money laundering against false promises and commitments.
Requested actions to protect such companies & dealer’s unethical practices:
• Riddhi Ford should be fined and penalised for false commitment – The car should be given IMMEDIATELY to me on the earlier booked Ex-Showroom price of INR 7,60,990 instead of INR 7,91,790. Also they should pay 1% per day delay charges of the total cost of the car every day delay in delivery post 3 months of commitment, just like builders pay to their customers if they delay the possession.
• Delivery of the car should be given to the customers waiting for their delivery and suffering just like me - as per first booked preference in order and on the rate applicable on the date of booking.
• Dealership of Riddhi Ford should be cancelled, and immediate action should be taken.

I purchased Ecosport Deisel Trend. I took the car from Mody Ford - Begumpet-Hyderabad. Booking experience was good and i got delivered for 95 days.
Exterior Excellent. Its has stunning looks. First compact SUV. No other cars have such stylish looks. Build quality is very good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent. Feel very spacious and comfortable. Nothing is dissappointing me in Ecocport. very good acceleration. Excellent breaks. Plastics inside are good they are not that much low quality as others said. I have seen duster interiors too. Comparatively, ecosport interiors are best.
The Dash board is having all controls and is very nice. Sync is working perfectly. I am using Galaxy grand and its working very well. Seat height adjustment is best part. Completely folding back seats is also a good option.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best excellent engine.
Ride Quality & Handling Very nice. Received the car after 95 days of booking. we felt satisfied in all the aspects. Mileage is also good before first service in hyderabad traffic.
Final Words Excellent car. Currently waiting period is 8 to 10 months. Can wait to purchase this car. Have driven 500 kms till now in city roads. need to check driving in highway. In city roads i got 14 km.
Areas of improvement Waiting period should be reduced. Doors weights. Because of tire at the back door, i feel to open slowly always.

Exterior: No doubt good. Thats the only reason, peoples are buying it.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Nothing..!! Have driven the car about 6000 kms. Feel like someone has inflated ford's small baloon callled Figo. Worst ever space at rear seats. Not comfortable even for TWO healthy persons..what to talk about Three. VERY Very cramped. Almost nil space in boot as well.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Nothing again. Have driven the car about 6000 kms. Steering wheel is so very poorly design. Feel like driving old MARUTI 800..That to be no-power steering type. Gears shifting is smooth. Fuel economy is about 14 at highway and less than 12 in Gurgaon city.
Ride Quality & Handling: Worst. even the Tata Vehicles are comfortable. Loads of Body Rolls for the persons seating at back seats. Gurgaon-JAIPUR (Distance about 230 Km) is horrible experience.
Final Words: Worst car one can purchase at 8-9 lacs. I am not any brand ambasdor of Duster..but...feel like has done big mistake by ignoring Duster, which atleast give feel of an SUV. So, friends..if you are planning to buy SUV with less than 10 lacs...must go for Duster/Terrano..A big No for Ecosports..It is basically a Ford Figo..with BEST exteriors. Nothing Inside..nothing in performance...nothing in comfort and thats why its is HIGHLY OVER-PRICED Ford FIGO.
They are charging atleast 2 lacs extra for the poor product. Hats off to Ford's Designer Only.

I have test driven Ford Ecosport and Duster and finally Booked Ecosport 1.5 Trend TDCi. In my observation, Ford Ecosport is the only vechile in the price bracket of 6-9 lakhs where you don't compromise on looks. It looks great from every angle, be it front, Rear or Sideway. The Front has got Killer looks and Rear with mounted tyre too differentiate it with other Compact SUVs ( I didn't like Safari Strom coming without Rear mounted tyre) . In nutshell this vechile has got the modern techy looks in comparision to any other vechile in sub 10 Lakh Segment .
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Personally, I like beige interior as it gives you impression of a roomy cabin, but considering that Ford is sticking to the Sports theme, Black is acceptable. Dashboard seems to be little extended, which has eaten up space of the cabin. Front seats are quite comfortable, with height adjustement and both way adjustment of steering columan, it becomes suitable for varied height of Drivers. Cabin finish is good but has got some improvement areas. Rear head space is good but leg space is ok ok. Overall there is a little compromise in terms of space as its sub 4 M SUV. But spending 200K more for little more space in Duster doesn't seems to be a good idea.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Comparing 1.5 Trend Diesal with Duster 85 ps RXL, Ecosport has got the edge. it has got better acceleration. I overtook a Merc- Benz Bus at 140KM/hr and dont have to think twice. Bracking is great with ABS. I applied at 140KMPH and was on 80KMPH in no time without any jerky feeling. I also liked the Electronically assisted Steering as my old Indigo LX too have the same and feels too good in city driving. Can't comment about fuel economy. Gearbox too is smooth and is tuned for city ride rather than highway drive.
Ride Quality & Handling
Handling is good but at high speed it has good little body roll while turning. Overall ride qualtiy is good but is not comparable to a sedan in the same price range.
Final Words
Ecosport is VFM as you won't find this good looking and feature rich Vechile in this Price Bracket. In the price range of 7-9 lakhs, you will find most hatchback converted sedans like Dzire, Amaze or Base models of Sunny/Scala, so Ecosport seems to be a better option as its a crossoever. Spending 2 Lakhs more on underpowered Duster (85 PS) is a insane idea ( Atleast for me). Yes, if you can spend more, then you have got many options like XUV500, Scorpio, Duster 110 PS in SUV segment or Cruze, Vento, Verna in Sedan.

Exterior Looks are evident from overwhelming bookings sure head turner smart n mean machine.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Drove at a stretch from nagpur to banglore to deliver it to my son without tiring a bit very comfy, space is adequare, fully loaded with features.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox It hasa superb engine, gives good fuel economy on highways ad decent mjleage in city, has an excellent gearbox.
Ride Quality & Handling Smooth noiseless responsive vehicle very very good handler on any surface.
Final Words Going to get one more formyself very sturdy vehicle. will depend upon service feedback will hate to see such a car fail due tocompanys service inefficiency so buckle upford you have a winner here so take stringent effors on this one. Fallen in love with it from the first ride.
