Ford has finally revealed the next generation of Ford Figo as the Ka Concept to the Brazilian media yesterday. The car was spied testing in Brazil many times and after months of speculations we finally have pictures of the car.
Codenamed B562, the new Figo is based on the Mk5 Fiesta platform which currently underpins the Figo. The 2015 Ford Figo is likely to make its global debut at 2014 Auto Expo to be held in Greater Noida next February and will replace the current Figo in India as well as other markets where it is being sold.
The 2015 model gets many new updates with the major one being the front grille which looks very similar to Aston Martins. The new LED headlamps (might not make it to the production version), bumpers and other major design traits have been taken from the company’s other cars like the Mondeo, Focus and the Fiesta. The rear end of the car is something we have not seen before on a Ford car but it resembles the Datsun GO. The overall design clearly shows that the company has taken serious efforts to make it a very appealing car.
Ford hasn’t revealed any details on the engines yet but expect it to get the 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine and also technologies like the SYNC infotainment system and push button start/stop that can be seen on the EcoSport.
