2012 Ford Figo

Ford has halted production of the Figo hatchback for the Indian market. Our dealer sources have revealed that the company has stopped sending stocks of the hatchback to them. However, the car is still listed on Ford’s website.

Ford India's overall sales figures including exports in May 2015 was reported as 11,714 units. This shows a 4.67 per cent decline as Ford's cumulative sales in the same period last year were 12,288 units.

he Ford Figo Aspire Compact Sedan was unveiled at an event at the Infiniti Mall in Mumbai as a part of the American automaker’s India-wide pre-launch roadshow. It is Ford’s first foray into the highly competitive CS segment which is rapidly expanding and has the presence of all most all the major mass market players. Ford unveiled the next-gen Ford Figo as the Ka concept to the Brasilian media at the end of last year. The new hatchback was spotted testing in Brasil many times and now the manufacturer has unveiled the car for the South African market.

Ford India has announced that it has sold 14,215 vehicles in April. These sales figures includes both domestic and exports. The company sold 13,297 units in the corresponding month last year.

The B-segment is slowly becoming the best-seller with the increasing purchasing power and the changing choice of the Indian automotive consumer. Since 2010, the Figo stands here, as a formidable competitor for those who want to think beyond Maruti Suzuki.
