Just a few weeks ago we got you the images of the next generation Ford Figo that was spied testing in Brazil and now we get you the spy pictures of the sedan that is based on the next generation hatchback. The test mule was spied testing in Detroit where the company is headquartered.
From the images we can clearly see the car is not near to the sub-four metre tag but we can expect the Indian division to work on it to make it a sub-four metre car to avail of the excise duty. This will help the car take on the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10-based sedan.
Design wise there is hardly anything that makes us say that the car features the kinetic design philosophy. The front end of the camouflaged test mule looks exactly like the 2015 Figo which has been codenamed B562. Both the vehicles are expected to get 1.0-litre Ecoboost turbo petrol and 1.5-litre TDCi turbo diesel engines.
The next generation Ford Figo will first make its way to the Brazilian market sometime next year whereas for the Indian market, expect the twins to be launched in 2015. After the EcoSport, these two new vehicles may help gain lots of sales for the company in developing markets.
