Hyundai Australia has announced a free Android Auto upgrade to customers who have recently purchased any of the models such as - i30, Elantra, Veloster, Tucson and Santa Fe with Apple CarPlay compatibility. Customers in Australia will get the software update in just about 15 minutes at Hyundai dealerships.
It is likely that the higher variants in India-bound Hyundai Tucson are likely to get the Apple CarPlay system, thereby indicating a possibility of a pre-installed Android Auto software being offered in the upcoming model here as well. The Android Auto system allows driver and passengers to mirror their smartphones and make phone calls, access maps, send messages and access a wide range of apps via the car’s touchscreen.
The five seat configured Hyundai Tucson in India will be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre engine, while the diesel trim is expected to get a 1.6-litre engine option. Along with all modern safety features, the India-bound Hyundai Tucson will also be offered with standard features such as climate control, touchscreen infotainment system and electrically adjustable leather seats.
