Ford’s 3D virtual reality tour of the Auto Expo begins today

Couldn’t go to the Auto Expo? You can at now enjoy Ford’s cars through a 3D virtual reality tour of their stand at the event. The American manufacturer will be installing the ‘Ford time Machine’ in different cities in India.

The Ford Time Machine will take one through the line-up of Ford vehicles exhibited at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014. The users will experience a 360°, virtual walk through of the Ford Pavilion through 3D glasses. A viewer can also change the perspective by changing positions. The Time Machine will be put up in six cities- Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Lucknow, Guwahati and Surat, starting today.

Mumbaikars can take the virtual tour today and tomorrow at the Infinity Mall, Malad. At the same time, people from Lucknow can visit the Saharaganj Mall to do the same. On March 1 and 2, the Time Machine will be installed at VR Surat Mall and at the Hub Mall, Guwahati; while at Garuda Mall, Bangalore, between March 8 to 9 and at the Express Avenue Mall, Chennai between March 15 and 16.

Ford’s exhibit area at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2014 had the All-New Figo Concept and the new 2014 Ford Fiesta. Apart from these new vehicles, the Ford Figo, EcoSport, Endeavour and the Classic from their current portfolio were displayed at the pavilion.
