Ford India achieved a 188% increase in sales with the hatchback leading from the front. Ford sold a total of 9,293 vehicles this February compared to 3,223 in 2010. Having already sold in 76000 units of the Figo since its launch, the company is looking to capitalise on the immense popularity it has achieved.
The company now plans to bring in its global Fiesta, a premium sedan into India. This will be the first step of the company to introduce 8 global products by the middle of the decade. Having increased their dealer network to 170 now, Ford plans to grab a decent amount of market share.
