After reviewing various options in the hatchback, finally I purchased Ritz VXi yesterday. I profusely thank Carwale for their excellent coverage of different car and research on various cars along with user reviews. This enabled me to narrow down my search to RiTZ, Fabia, I10 and Grande Punto. After researching for several months on these cars and test drive, I finally decided to buy Ritz for its style, performance, engine and BS-4. Althogh the backside of RiTZ looked ugly to me during early days of its release, after continuously looking at the car, it is becoming more appealing for me  now. Around 5 lakhs for the VXi model with few accessories looks little expensive. Still, it has a new engine, BS-IV emmision norms and good suspesion, better mileage than Swift etc. Considering all these, I give excellent grade for the car as of now. After using the car for few more months, I will once again my review of the car.

Good style with choice for superior colours

Appearance:

External appearance is too good. In one angle this will look like Ertiga model and many have confused by seeing from the front view. Value for money atleast on this area.

Mileage is so bad:

I use this car mostly within the city limits (i.e traffic most of the times). My Ritz is giving only 9-10 kmpl. Whereas the ARAI rating says it gives approx. 21 kmpl which is very far from what the actual performance. Revisit this and try to improve the mileage. 

Areas of improvement:

All the interior panels (Plastic) need to be improved. The door handles, railings, are of cheap quality and within 1 year the door handle is broken and there is an irritating noise that is produced due to this. Concentrate and provide better quality. 

Pricing

The price of the car is at par with the other brand of this segment. 

Noise on the boot door

Generally there will be a noise on the hatch back model esp when you drive on a bumpy road. My car makes irritating itch itch itch noise when I ride on a bumpy road. The service engineer has told me that the problem cannot be fixed. This is irritating while driving.

 

 

Good StyleBad Mileage

I was in confusion to buy car, i am interested in Figo, wagon R, Ritz ,Brio and I-10, finally i have buy a good RITZ Car, exterior of ritz is good.

Interior of ritz is not upto the mark, however there is very good  space and comfort car.

RITZ is best fuel efficient car and very good performance. RITZ is excellent in driving very good comfortable.

Finally RITZ is very good car and value for money, there should be good interior in this car then shoul be a excellent car.

I have completed six months with RITZ, I understand this is a very buy me initially I was in cofusion to buy car. In six months completed 4000 km run found average in highway aroun 18 km per ltr. Very good in driving and comfortable. i found that this is value for money in other company all features of this car we have to pay more then that this car.

Exterior Good look, nice metalic finish and innovative back!!! which grabs immediate attention. Some may not agree that the exterior looks good but if you see the no.s are increasing in the roads like how it happened for Swift earlier.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space comfort is great. 60:40 option gives more flexibility while planning for a long drive. But the plastics used for interiors are off poor quality it look like they bought it from some platform shops. That needs realy focus from Suzuki/Maruthi.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Low noice engine, good performance, good stability @140 km/h. But the back seat passenger may not feel that great but it is good when compared to same class vehicle.

Ride Quality & Handling Riding quality was very good and the company once again proved that power steering used are good in class. Smooth driving.

Exterior Good. Sporty look.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent. In trafiic it gives approx 15kms/lt and on highway one can get close to 16.5 km/lt.

Ride Quality & Handling Excellent.

Final Words If one has a budget of around 6 lakhs. Go for it.

Areas of improvement Rear view and back space can be improved.

Purchasing swift can be costly. If one wants to get a budget car with almost every feature..go for Ritz. It is comfortable. I am using for past 1.5 years. It is fuel efficient.

I also had the confusion to choose between Swift and Ritz.

Though both are good. But one that came in my budget was Ritz. I do not rate it less than swift but few features where it lags are:

1) Rear view is not as good as swift.

2) Backspace is less compared to Swift.

Rest I say it is equally good.

Exterior The exteriors are great except for the rear of the car, which was not appealing for everyone. However, with time and with a numbers of Ritzs on road, the rear styling is eyed in totally different perspective now.

My rating: 8/10.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Has a lot of space being a tall boy. The seating is comfortable and interiors are best from what Maruti has to offers amongst hatchbacks including Swift.

My rating: 9/10.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Great K series engine, Super FE, Gear ratios and performance is optimised for the Indian roads.

My rating: 10/10.

 

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is great. However, the braking is not top notch and passengers on rear seats do feel the bumps on road.

My rating: 08/10.

 

Final Words Super family car and a great first car. Tall family - go for this offering from Maruti stable.

 

Areas of improvement Ride quality could be improved further to match the Volkswagon Polos and the Figos.

Exterior is very good and I like the shape. Öf course some people dont like the shape of the rear but I feel the aerodynamic styling contributes for the speed of the vehicle.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Inner space is ample the back seat can also seat three persons comfortably. The interiors are good and the plastics are reliable.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine performance is excellent. Gear shifts are precise and easy.

Ride Quality & Handling is very good both in the city as well as the highway.

Final Words A most beautiful car especially for city use. Its a most beautiful car and extremely good for city use. Easy to get in and out of the car because of the tall boy design. Very economical for both running and periodic maintenance. Stability of the car on the highway is also very good. The engine is peppy and responsive at all RPMs. Gear shift is smooth and the steering is precise.

Areas of improvement Front visibility because of the tall boy design takes time to get used to.

THIS car is a must have for middle class family medium price range and a international different look .small family memeber of 2-3-4 this car is a good buy . Plus the colours and interiors is good Petrol carioant is cool pickup is good And most imp service and maintenance is very cheap

 I like the exterior style and unable to find any fault with it though this could have been better giving more legroom for rear passengers and more boot space.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Sufficient leg & head room. I like the Dash borard style and short gear. The fit and finsh can improve further.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

I bought the car in May 2012 and covered 15K in one year. Out of which 9K were only long drives. Approximately 1520 KM ( from Chennai to Trivandrum and back) done 5 times and chennai to Ooty one time. Long drive comfort is OK if you take adequate breaks inbetween. Then engine performance is excellent. Got average of 17 on highway and 12 in city. Initially the reverse gear was not smooth but after second service it is fine.

Ride Quality & Handling

Very good if you drive 80 to 100 km/hr. Pushing it above  120 felt less confident and mileage comes down drastically.  Good gound clearance and handles well most of pathholes and spead breakers. Felt little bit body roll in slow speeds. Need to maintain constant tyre pressure of 34 psi. I use only air and didn't find any noticeable difference with nitrogen which was filled during my first long drive. You can enjoy driving with this car when you drive relaxed in average constant speed of 90. Cornering ability is not that good when compared to other hatches like ford figo and driving during very good winds not giving much confidence in control. May be due to the 'tall boy' design.

Areas of improvement  

Headlight, Blind spots from driver side view, no dead pedal and a level high clutch and break levers from floor, poor rear visibility, overall fit and finish. Price wise felt 20 to 30 K more for the features provided. No rear wiper. Rear seat comfort and thigh support.
