Exterior The new 2014 refresh model is excellent. I just bought a Dolphin grey one. The new chrome grill, new bull bar and the entire decals looks awesome.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Awesome! I dont think anyone has any complaints here. The new dual done works perfect. Some of the finish on door could be better. One thing, I didnt like was the rear defogger connected on the back window with wires coming out. Comfortable 7-8 seater or rather only 7/8 seater. The body roll is very minimal, on par almost with Ertiga VXI or Innova. Though in deep curves, you need to be careful in any tallbody MUVSUV
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox MHawk is excellent. In straight line, dont think anyone could beat. The gear shift has been optimized but i have been using only past 2 days and find gear shift slightly tighter and not very notchy. Also, the vibration is not completely out on this gear shift though its way better and ratio goes well with new clutch setup.
Ride Quality & Handling Superb!. My twin kids loved it and they felt almost they were in minibus. My father was almost asleep in captain seats and enjoyed the superb blowerac. Driver gets the best road view with huge glass greenhouse too. The new 6040 3rd row is a great add. I also got a pulldown roof mount DVD and works like a gem. Final Words True VFM. I did spend 2-3 months doing all kinds of analysis and firmly believe this is a really great comfy mover. I first waited for mobilio and was disappointed in 3rd row thigh supportcomfort on long drive. Then booked ertiga but on a 2nd long test drive, found too congested at back though you had car feel. Innova was out of budget while Enjoy was too lousy performer. Finally, Take a test drive before you drop Xylo from your list.
Areas of improvement
1. Improve even the minimal body roll left out or provide a guage or instrument to show the amount of body roll to help driver control in deep turns. 2. Communicate the new features and market safety features better. Mahindra has better safety features like crumple zone, high seating, reinforced beams, ABSEBD and stabilization control guages. The added comfort drive suspension is a big value add which would need more detailing. If possilbe get even NCAP test for all Airbag variants. 3. Improve the gear box further. I still doesnt get a car like feel when I drive this. It may be +ve but still I feel we need this to get more car folks on this. 4. In city it is giving me 12.5 Kmpl, could be better. A 14-15kmpl would be ideal.

Exterior The Xylo looks good with its headlamp and bounut,facelift is fine enough with its exterior body looks, but the front body bumper looks good but not at all strong to safeguard the vehicle, Poor Quality fabric bumper looks good but very light and weak.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I like Xylo seats its broad and good height and even the third row seats are quite good Compared to Innova,but Toyota gives you quality whereas Mahindra doesnt
Xylo having good looking interiors and fabric clusters& dashboard and door dashboard and ac vents for all the rows ,But this all looks good and shinning ,but doesnt have long life, thats because of Mahindra`s Poor quality materials.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox To be frank this vehicle gives a mileage of 11-12kmpl in city 13-14kmpl in Highway,and engine is good and refined smooth sounding diesel engine ,but after 2-3 years the vehicle engine shows kind of maintenece,and not at all rough and tough car it is and poor quality ,it just looks good but totally waste car.
Ride Quality & Handling Poor Quality material from its interior to exterior ,this vehicle is only usefull till the warrenty period of mahindra after that its on your luck.
But while driving on city the Xylo Handling is pretty Good But on Highways it better but while overtakings because of its heavy and lenghty body and quite small wheel drum and tyres the car feels like it gets turned round ,feels quite unsafe.
SCORPIO wheels and handling is better and feels safe
Final Words I Buyed this car and used for taxi plate this vehicle is to run for MNC/BPO and sometimes on the Highways, This car has given me so many repairs and maintenece cost whenever i asked the dealer or machanics about the cars problems they simply used to smile and say its your luck,i doesnt like this car though it was the new car in the market and new looking MUV, i buyed it and used as taxi,but this vehicle is like hell not at all worthy ,I have solded this Car and Buyed the Brand new Tavera Chevrolet s Brand as the Travels Officals Suggested me that Tavera is far more Better than Xylo and it offers more durability and rough running and low maintenece car.
And I felt they were right and i am experienced with Tavera its quite better than Xylo though it doesnt look so good but its simple and descent car rough as well as tough car and good long lasting quality interior and even strong body bumpers,

Areas of improvement The First thing Mahindra should concentrate on its quality materials used in Xylo and vehicles Engine and maintenece cost ,alot of repairs.
It just looks so fine car but some where its engine and heavy looking massive body and Quality is the Disadvantage to this car.

Exterior Not much is changed on exteriors but the new chrome lining at the front and back really look good.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The Interiors on the H9 model looks very up market. Full leather inside the cabin feels like being in a big foreign brand. Voice in command is a very useful feature to have. The new Xylo has commutable engine noise isolation inside the cabin.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine is the STAR of this package. It is very refined and feels more powerful then before, overtaking in a single lane is a piece of cake. Fuel economy is in average 14 kmpl for such a heavy car that is extremely good. Gearbox could be a little better it still feel notchy.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality has improved alot as the new chasie is the same as the newely Launched Scorpio. The car has become much more stiffer and stable the passengers don't move from side to side anymore as before.
Final Words I am very impressed with the all new Xylo as it has truly come a long way since it's first launch in 2009. M&M and now also the new Xylo now maintain international standards and that is visible in all there new cars. I sincerely hope the Xylo stays reliable for a long life span only then the treu verdict can be given on this car.
