Exterior Best in class exterior design. The new VERNA is a pleasure to watch on the roads. Good cars were awaited since ages now. And finally the new VERNA arrived. Hyundai has worked really hard to give this car a modern funky look. And there efforts are really appreciated.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Hyundai People have given a 'FLUIDIC' touch to the new interiors of the car as the 'FLUIDIC' trademark points out. The interiors of the previous model were very old fashioned and outdated. But the new VERNA doesn't gives any cons to point out. The interiors are perfect in accordance with the exterior design of the car. You get a standard music player as a feature. The blue console lighting which is standard on most of the hyundai cars make you feel fresh and active. Overall the interiors make a sturdy and ofcourse, a 'FLUIDIC' appeal.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Best in class engines. Hyundai engines have been torqy, powerfull and problem free since ages. The new VERNA has got the all new 1.6 litre CRDi engine. 128 PS/260Nm. The best in class diesel technology. The beast is mounted to a 6 speed manual gearbox due to which you get maximum power on the initial gears and unmatched fuel economy on the higher gears. The basic version also comes with a 1.4 CRDi 90PS engine which is offered in the diesel i20. But the 1.6 CRDi version is a real fun to drive. You feel a 'TAKEOFF' when you press the accelerator pedal. It gives a decent 16 to 17 km to a litre in a normal city driving. But as far as the performance is concerned the fuel economy can be ignored a little bit. The 1.4 litre version is a little more fuel efficient than the 1.6 one. But the 1.6 is a pleasure to drive.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is genuinely good. You don't feel any kind of lags. Handling is better. The steering responds quickly. The new VERNA feels comfortable to drive and the 1.6 us a quick and active package. The suspensions are a bit on the softer side. Hyundai has improved overall performance of this model.
Final Words The best diesel sedan in its class. The all new FLUIDIC VERNA is being liked by almost every car lover in the country. Its a complete 'fun on the road' package.

Exterior I will keep it short and simple, hyundai couldnt have done a better job with the exteriors looks of this car. this car literally flushed the ford fiesta out of the market.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good job on the interiors. im driving the 1.6 SX OPT verison, full leather upholstery(even on the doors) good quality plastics, bit of chrome adds a good touch, driver seat being height adjustable and adjustable thigh support is great. not to mention the 6 airbags give u an added sense of security. the Auto AC is such a neccesity these days. lots of space here n there. the reversing camera and push button ignition, bluetooth streaming, keyless entry are also good features.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very powerful(128 PS), being an enthusiastic driver myself i haved raced this car with tata safari(140 PS) and it gives the safari a run for its money, overtaking cars in the same segment isnt a big deal.
fuel economy: i have driven this car for 1300KMS now, im getting mixed results, 6th gear on highway @ 100-110 returned 18.5 km/l, 140-170km/hr returned me an acceptable 14KM/L, which is acceptable i drove abt 160 kms in around 1 hr and 40 mins on a road that has traffic going both ways. basically i was going very hard on the acceleration pedal from a very low speed quite often.
Gearbox : im not so impressed with the 6 speed gear box .... yes if u want to travel at 120km/hr ++ then it makes sense, but for city driving with such a monster under the hood its hard to even get it into the 5 gear! there goes ur city mileage!!!!
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is excellent compared to the old verna, that old one felt like it will go upside down anytime, This baby is heavier, more stable, better handling, believe me the ABS makes those sharp turns while risky overtaking so smooth u will start appreciating the car at the very moment!!!!!! braking is good, might be great too but i havent been too hard on the brakes yet!!!!!
Final Words Taking it for the first service tomorrow, will let u know how it behaves on the milage and performance from after that.

Exterior A VERY GOOD HI FI LOOK. WHICH MAKE OTHERS LOOK AT THE VEHICLE WITH ADORATION.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) INTERIOR COLOUR IS NICE AND ATTRACTIVE. A CAR WITH TEN LAKHS. GOOD ENOUGH. AIR CONDITIONER IS AVERAGE. MUSIC SYSTEM IS GOOD ENOUGH.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox INITIAL PICK UP IS LESS AND THE GEAR HAS TOBE SHIFTED FOR OVER TAKING. IT IS VERY EASY TO SHIFT THE GEARS.
Ride Quality & Handling HANDLING IS VERY EASY. FANTASTIC BRAKES WHICH MAKES THE VERNA TO HALT ON THE SPOT.
Final Words NO DOUBT COMPARING WITH ANY OTHER SEDAN OF THIS RANGE. VERNA STANDS FAR PEAKER & HIGHER THAN ANY OTHER VEHICLE. IF ANY ONE HAS BOOKED ANY OTHER VEHICLE. IT IS HIGH TIME YOU CANCELLED THAT BOOKING AND GO FOR A NEW FLUIDIC VERNA. YOU WILL NEVER EVER REGRET FOR THIS FANTASTIC DECISION.
Areas of improvement YET TO FIND OUT.

Exterior
A great designed car
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Space is quite good, A little bumpy on tough roads, comfort is nice
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
A very good, I get 20 to 21 milage per ltr of diesel. It depends how much anybody drive the car..
Ride Quality & Handling
Fantastic
Final Words
It is learnt that Hyundai has done some cosmetic changes in this car like 2 airbags, xenon lights. My opinion is that on road anybody is concedrned with safety in driving. Hence the decision to keep only 2 airbags is not viable. If at some more price xenon lights can be afforded for needy customer. Hyundai should reinstall 6 airbags & back middle headrest, as its a main characterstic of this car for which many customers attracted to Verna. Hope that Hyundai people should do it.....
