      Exterior

To me Tucson has the best from all Hyundai vehicles, including Santa fe. All those headlight components in the front and rear make it a head turner. Just love it.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Suspension is very good and the little ups and downs on the road are gobbled up nicely. All features are tuned towards practicality. Sensors in the front and rear makes ones life easy.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

I have driven it only for 200kms so far and mostly in normal drive mode within city not going beyond 70kmph. So far so good. Enough punch to pick up from stand still at traffic signals. Economy seems to be at 15kmpl. Hyundai has done a pretty good job with this gearbox tuning it for linear acceleration.

      Ride Quality & Handling

Didn't get this beauty in to bumpy roads yet. But with the little experience so far, it seems promising for a very pleasant ride quality.

      Final Words

It is big enough with a powerful engine and a above average transmission. Security is at par with all the big guys (Q3, X1 etc.,) and  the interiors are practical with premium feel. I considered the Q3 and X1's. But will need to shell out another 10lk to get the best from the big guys. With ~30lk OTR, definitely VFM. And please do not compare this with Creta or even the XUV's and Innova's. This is in a league of its own and definitely worth the 30lk spend. Again, that's the opinion of a new owner and a very personal one. And btw, I am upgrading from 2010 I20 Petrol M/T.

      Areas of improvement

Panaromic sunroof, ventilated seats, auto up/down on all seats, passenger seat height adjustment would do wonders. But I suppose those are for the next level variants that are yet to come.

Safety, Styling, Comfort, Ride Quality, Feature set, NVHAverage fuel economy, No passenger seat height adjustment

Exterior The looks are very pleasing . The chrome handle and grill + the LED lightsm rear spolier add to the appeal.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The drive console is feature packed. The multi media touch screen is super responsive and I really like the compatability with apple carplay. The old garmin style gps works well in India. Ample storage space both in the arm rest and the door bins. The drive seat offers adjustability and comfort. The cabin is super quiet.

Offers ample space in the rear and seat are quiet comfortable and offer reasonable reclinabilty. the rear window / glass space is slightly small of the vehicle this size. The GLS version has electronic hand break while the GL has the sore antiquated mechanical one.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The engine offers good acceleration and is great for city driving and on the highways. At time had to switch to manual gear shifts on steep hill inclines. Didnt feel any difference with the drive modes.

Ride Quality & Handling The ride quality is very good. Easily take the dumps and breakers.

Final Words A good buy at 21.84 ex showroom. would rate it 4 stars.

Areas of improvement Engine fuel economy.

      Exterior

Tucson has the better look than other vehicles from Hyundai including Santa Fe. I could see people seeing it while driving

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Interiors are good with leather upholstery, leg space, foldable back seats, good boot space, mirrors, dashboards, adjustable driver seats, adjustable steering wheels, suspension, infotainment system

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy, and Gearbox

I have driven it for 1750 km both in highway and city, uphill, downhill enjoyed driving up to 140kms/hour speed. Could not use cruise control much.  The economy seems to be at 13.5kmpl. Very good pickup, easy driving, and vehicle control

      Ride Quality & Handling

Had a comfortable drive in highways, uphills and drive hills and curvy, hairpin curves and rough roads. Excellent experience

      Final Words

The engine is just enough to give enough power to drive on Indian roads. safety fittings are good. Featurewise better than many other international models whose base price starts from the on road price of Tucson. It has international styling. Not worth going for other brands like Audi BMW entry levels which do not provide the features given in Tucson.

      Areas of improvement

Sunroof, Heating seats, 10 way adjustable all seats, back seat mounted built-in TVs, seat massaging, vibration systems, 360-degree exterior view while reverse parking, distance display of blocking objects while parking.

Good style, tough look, lengthyMileage, the front passenger seat should be 10 ways adjustable and others passenger seats hight adj

Pro:-A very smooth car for both city and highway. Great performance, speed and decent fuel economy. Very quiet, good looks. Nice audio and nav system. Conering lights are good. Cons:- Expensive, horn not easy to operate, ground clearance only 172mm. A Piller is a blind spot. Locking/unlocking sound is too cruied, heavy door's. Feathers which are not of much use are, electric hand break, electric boot open/ close, Cruise control for me.

      1. Buying - Rcvd reqd Variant in 22 days. Must say, in my town dealer had no clue about Tucson since it not one of those very well adv. cars by Hyundai. But in present world with all details and reviews are very much available few clicks away it doesn’t matter much. 2. Riding - It very smooth, you wont feel the engine. It dead silent. If you are looking for a family crossover this is a great choice, it is not that aggressive, but does deliver reqd. Power and torque. Eco normal and sport mode Does make a great difference. It’s huge compared other crossovers available and hence driving around in a place like Indian roads were people have no regards to traffic is a bit messy, but still very ease to handle and control at your will. 3. Looks, Performance - Looks ... If your are looking for a head turner with a simple yet sleek and elegant look, like one those in EU builds then TUCSON does the job very well. Interiors could ve been little more better, but again compare it with Q3, X1, GLA they all stand the same. You will not be disappointed you ll get that premium feel.I REALLY WISH IF THAY HAD A PANAROMIC SUNROOF LIKE IN EU VARIANT. Performance ... Milage is just abt 10-11km/l which can be a very serious drawback for Indian crowd who looks for milage and cost cutting more than safety and reliability. But personally very happy with the performance and safety features. 4. Service - Hyundai is very reliable in this area and having HONDA, FORD along with TUCSON, it seems at present market everyone tries to do a good job to maintain reputation. 5. Pros, Cons - Pros... Amazing looks, very exclusive feel since everyone else goes for brand names and hence TUCSON is rarely seen on roads.Great ride quality, dead smooth and silent. Premium feel and very spacious. Cons... Wish had a sunroof, Blind sector detection like in EU variants. More colour options and company accessories like in the N tune pack, Since petrol variant lacks dual exhaust and Chorme lining fwd and rear.

Buying it was a good experience as most Hyundai showrooms are quite customer friendly for those looking for their high end cars Riding it is much better than Creta as it is definitely more powerful than it. However, as I already possess an Audi Q5 and a Toyota Land Cruiser, I was expecting just too much I guess from Hyundai. Suspension is not that good as you get in an Audi or Toyota (high end models) and it gives a bumpy ride experience on most of Delhi roads. Also the chasis (body) is not that strong as claimed by Hyundai, this I came to know when a small pebble hit my door while driving, with not much force but when I got down I saw a dent on my door's surface. Rest all things are good and almost same as in Audi. Also the headlights are not that strong as in any other car of its segment. Moreover, the double barrel headlights are of no use because there is no option of high beam or low beam. These lights just keep focussing in one straight direction. If you use the lever on right to give a dipper signal , strange enough the fog lamps turn on. Moreover the fog lamps are Yellow and headlights are white which give an utterly bad look and feel if you see from front (just feels like a modified car). The car has got beautiful looks (for which I purchased it primarily ). It has got some good features such as smart tail gate which opens and closes with car remote easily. The automatic closers (hinges) used in this tail gate are made in Germany. It had got a push button hand brake just like in Audi. It has got 3 driving modes - normal, eco and sport. It gets a good thrust in Sport mode and the engine feels like brimming with power. However, use this mode wisely as the brakes of this car are not that effective as in an Audi. It could have been made better by providing some cosmetic improvements such as all the seats should be ventilated (cooled). Both the front seats including the head rests should be auto adjustible. There should be a TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) in this segment car (even Mahindra Scorpio has that) . There should be a moon roof ( double sized sun roof) same as in any Audi of this segment. In the end my verdict is if you don't have any better car and going for Tucson thinking that it could be your Audi or Toyota then think twice because you can get much better things in slightly more money. However, if you are a car lover like me and have lots of big brands and want to experience Hyundai Tucson also then go for it.

Exterior Perhaps the most elegant styling in the class with will balance of curves and edges, the body to wheel ratio and driver's position and view is top notch, unfortunately very limited range of colours are offered in India market, the missing runroof is actually a blessing as it is more missused than a utility for indian road culture.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very roomy, fresh cabin, surprisingly wide legroom with superb seat quality and comfort, reclining rare seat is a blessing, unfortunately the body colours and interiors wont go well with eachother, beige wont suit silver body, you cannot choice the interiors and air bags being part of seat you cannot put choice seat covers, front seat missing the height adjustment, driver seat is very comfortable position with 10 position adjustments, cup hoders, glow box, door space, all are well placed with perfect distribution, rate pouch is missing,

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This is where this car gets maximum points, 3 driving modes, easy controls and smooth ride is the plus point over any car in this class, 185 BHP @ 2000CC deisel offers 4X4 ride is not available with any other rivals at this price,

I upgraded self from 110ps duster MT to Tucson and it gives substantial upgrade, duster was always underpowered, where as at any given speed/tarrain/condition tucson never runs out of power and responses are predictive and appealing.

Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable and fatigue free ride, best match for city and off road mix use, its more of a tall car with stable wheel base and ride than a hard core SUV which goes oversized for Indian cities, it is the best choice for the mix drive users.

Final Words If you are ready to compromise on the feeling of buying something which is 'little over priced' for the featured offered considering Hyundai service and network then there no other car in market today, once you get in to the drivers seat there is no other car that you can get envy of!

Areas of improvement Interior colours, can be changed to black , headlamp level adjustment is missing.

Engine size to weight ratio, balance of every featureChoice of interior colours, limited pillion seat adjustments
