Pros: The exterior is being designed in a classic style.The whole body is been made heavy metal that makes it resistent against collission.56lt fuel tank keeps the weight for the smooth control of the vehicle.The exterior looks may appear looks similar to luxury vehicles especially the roof design.
Cons-the front view is similar to polo...same as indica to indigo.

Pros: Interior finish is excellent, type of material used..etc.are superior comparing to the vechicles in its class.Good cooling system as it is automatic.The new vento comes with an audio system used in jetta(tredline) which is good.steering mounted cotrols makes it more convenience.meter console display and design is excellent.THE INTERIOR CABIN IS FREE OF ENGINE NOISE MAKES IT THE RIDE MORE COMFORTABLE.font arm rest are cmfortable in long journey.
Cons: Space will be little bit in short as there is a hump like thing in the rear seat makes it difficult for those who sit in the middle.Lacks bluetooth support.seat belt warning alarms.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Pros: Excellent pickup and pulling.reach 100 in7 secs..150 in 20secs..amazing...!gearbox is excellent...smooth movement.
Cons As it exerts more power, mileage is comparatively low(15 to19).while idling the engine sound is high while compared to others in class.
Ride Quality & Handling
Excellent... As the body is made with rigid stuff especially, bonnet. It makes the vehicle more heavy. Inaddition to it the amazing fact is that the fuel tank capacity is 56 litres which none other have in its class. Which is equal to xylo & innova.excellent braking system. The ride quality is excellent in moderate speeds.If we move in high speeds in bumpy roads it becomes difficult.
Final Words As it is bit overpriced ie.12.9lacs it should contain more features but the features provided till now are excellent in quality and finishing.For those who loves power and performance may choose it as it is best in class.
Areas of improvement The front look should differ from polo.outside engine noise should curtailed.

Its a nice car to drive comfortably. I have been really enjoying to drive this machine. Its giving 19/20 kmpl in highway and 17 kmpl in city. Initially I was in a confussion with Vento and verna, fortunately I bought Vento and i'm really satisfied with the performance. I know Verna is more stylish than vento but Vento is having classic look and better build quality than Verna. Also it has the features which is required for my usage. Only thing is VW does not have the enough show rooms and proper service centers to give proper service after sales.

Exterior The Vento is vw's offering in the mid side sedan C2 segment. The vento looks like a polo with a boot which exactly is the car which it is based on. However unlike other similar models,the vento has a longer wheelbase which is noticable when parked side by side to the polo.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) If you have been in a polo before than you will be familiar with the interiors of the vento.It has a typically german highish dashboard, with simple yet functional design.The dashbaord has a combination of dark and beige colour combination which breaks the monotony of the then simple looking dash design. The center console sports a integrated media player which has a inbuilt reverse parking visual aid(only in HL model).Automatic climate control module sits below it. The buttons feel nice to touch and built to last.However the ac vents feel a bit fragile.There is a arm rest for the driver which seems more like a ergonomic failure considering the fact that it hinders the operation of the handbrake.The arm rest also houses a small storage compartment. However the fragile looking arm rest lid lock seems out of place of a otherwise solid made car. The front seats are average and lack side and under thigh support, feel too basic considering the price point.(the honda city ivtecs seat are segment benchmark). The rear seat is also too basic with just a plain bench with a bit too upright recline angle.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Here comes the party piece of the Vento tdi. If you ask me why would I want to but the diesel vento, It would be the 1.6tdi engine.Start the motor and the car shakes as if you are starting a truck. There is a lot of diesel clatter from the engine especially on cold start, thankfully it settles down with warmer engine.Still the clatter is always audible. Lot of engine and drivertrain moments are felt on the clutch and accelerator pedal when the engine is idling.Revv it a bit and the vibrations smoothens a bit with a sound of a crude engine noise. This being the downside of the oil burner. Now comes the best part. First gears is short,shift to second at around 1100-1300rpms, find a empty stretch of road and floor the pedal, the engine revvs seamlessly and once arossing 2000rpm there is a massive surge of torque pushing you back into your seat till around 4000rpm after which the pull tapers off, however unlike other diesel's this 1.6 tdi is extremely free revving and will easily hit its 5400rpm redline if you wish it to. Performance is explosive and if you really love the shove of torque this is the car to choose blindly, It beats hands down all cars in the c2 segment plus a few over its segment when it comes to in gear acceleration.0-100 is achievable in sub 10 secs. Performance is one side and for the sedate folks out there, yes there is good news, the engine is very frugal and delivery around 18 to 22kmpl depending on the situation.
Tthe clutch is a bit heavy but progressive.gear box is nice and the gears slot in effortlessly and is a joy to use.
Ride Quality & Handling German cars have always been a drivers delight and this one is not different either. Ride quality is a bit on firmer sider. However it glides over medium pot holes, whilst crashing a bit in the bad ones. The ride quality improves with speed. The highway is where the car shines and shows its european roots. Where most japanese and indian cars feel wallowy and jumpy on road undulations the vento rides absolutely flat.high speed stabilty is brilliant and the car also loves corners equally. You can drive safely and confidently at tripple digit speeds all day without breaking into sweat, further coupled with the brilliant punchy engine, its a enthusiasts delight. Dont be fooled with the plain jane looks of the vento.It can be a perfect example of wolf in sheeps clothing in car terms here in india.
Final Words Solid fun to drive car whilst being favourable to the "kitna deti hai" janta as well.
Areas of improvement Rear seat comfort and leg room, some niceties and feel good features like key less entry, start stop button and so on.

Very attractive looks, I booked the car 6 months prior to even a demo car to arrive at the dealerships. Saw the brochure and fell in love with the looks.

Totally satisfied with the interiors, the quality used is excellent, does not give you any cheap material feeling. Very comfortable even for those sitting at the back.
I would not advice 3 people sitting at the back if the journey is longer than 2 hours.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Engine is class-apart, German engineering has to be saluted for their perfection. Fuel economy is good and gearbox is par-excellence!
Ride Quality & Handling
Suspension seems to be designed looking at Indian roads, its on a little harder side but the ride is very smooth. Unless ofcourse, a speed bump, a normal sized speed breaker and 2 people sitting in the backseat is a guaranteed touch on mudguard. VW should redesign a shorter sized mudguards.
Driving this masterpiece is orgasmic!
Final Words
I have been using my Highline Diesel version of Vento since 2010, the milometer is about to touch 70,000 kms, so you can say, little less than average use, but I am completely satisfied and I made 3 of my relatives/friends buy a Vento, they too aren't complaining.
Areas of improvement
I would say, VW should have improved their After Sales Services, yesterday! That's how desperate is the need to improve their dealerships/service centers. Many a times the parts are not available at the Service Centers. It took 3 weeks for my car for oil pipe replacement in one such case.
Good engine, good fuel economy and good comfort.After sales services, mud-guard always touches speed bumps.

Exterior:it has a very understated, clean yet subtle styling(individual choice).Some would prefer verna's snazzier styling but i like this poor man"s audi.😎
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort):it is nicely loaded(rear ac vents, power adjustable mirros, climate control).It does not have all bells and whistles(ala competition) like rear camera, auto folding mirrors, etc. but it has some unique features like remote control power windows, lever at rear to push front seat forward to name some.Space is good for 4 adults, there is fair amount of headroom legroom but 5th passenger is unwelcome as there is 5-6 inches tall hump in centre.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox:😄MY FAVOURITE PART,the performance of this car is awe inspiring.it just picks up the pace effortlessly.three digit speeds are dealt with utmost relaxation and reaching to them is a child's play just put the foot on throttle and it gets going.Gearbox is also light and easy to use with slick throws.Fuel economy varies from 15-16(depending on driving style, sedate drivers can get 18-19 also).
Ride Quality & Handling:Ride Quality of the car is pretty good.suspensions are setup really stiff which helps it in highway driving but hat it loses out is in cities over speed breakers there is big thud from rear suspension which is really irritating.Handling of the car is nice.it goes where you exactly want it to but the steering remains light throughout giving that uninspiring feel.
Final Words:Its a great car to own with so much positives that the negatives looks so small in front of them
Areas of improvement:little more features,rear suspension noise deleted, it would make for a perfect car.

breaks , spears prices and good knowladge advisior at service centres, break disc has less life than swift and other low budget car. I have another car Suzuki desire but vento having too much maintaince cost and less life for its Spares.
While the body noise was fixed; the engine mounting noise remains a nagging complaint. The sales & service staff is apathetic and don't care. I guess the german attitude of the VW masters is acting up since i have even tried contacting the parent company to no avail. I posted a message on their website to which i got no response; i posted on their facebook page which was taken down that very instant. VW India is a sham.

Easy access to power, fantastic gear ratios drives like a petrol, effortless drives, butter smooth. 50-100 kph climb puts a smile, especially on indian roads that's the range you do most of your overtaking. The 55lts. + tank is truly useful for people who really travel for business all the time.

Good , please get rid of the appollos after 30k , I upgraded to michelin primacy st3 & now complements the suspension set up. Handling is sure footed , but don't go overboard it's not a race car! Back seat ride is mature. not meant for 5 passengers though.

i have have driven it for 30,000 Kms in 1 yr 3 months . It is a work horse. you will not fall in love with it instantly unlike the mouthwatering offers from the Koreans and jap. Drive it then you will understand it is a truly simple and a honest sedan. I love it!!

I was in to change my car since quite some time. I was doing reserch for a decent mid size diesel sedan. options were new Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Vento and Niassan-Renault twins Scala and Sunny.
Honda failed to impress even though it is feature packed. Verna was refined but felt a little over priced for a korean car and god konws when they will revice the design so my new car will become old in an instant. Sunny and Scala failed me with their figure. I was looking for something which I can keep for say 8 to 10 years withuot being out of fashion.
Before I took the test drive of vento I was happy with its looks. Its like the old colonial houses we see today. It will never get old. It will stay with time. Minimal and modest
The moment I took the test drive I fell in love with this car. It was a pleasure to drive I dont know why people complaints about this car power delivery and performance. May be they all were riding audy or some super car before. i was upgrading my self from my swift dezire to this car. I felt its relly nice car.
Every one was telling service expence is high. I requested for service bill vouchers at the showroom its all in 8500-10000 range. Its not a big deal I felt. Because I was payin average 7000 for my swift dezire in every service so in 30000 I will spent aorund 21000 for swift. for this one around 20000 max since service is in every 15000km.
Purchased the car in the next week and crossed 3500 km today. purchase experience was too good. its true that like maruty the dealer they will not push you to buy this one. but once you let them konw that you are purchasing they will help you with every tis bits .
I work in a hill station and my home in plains. so my driving consist of a mix of highways and ghat roads. its really a performer. you hardly need gear shift in between other than 4th and 5th. mind you its not peppy as DDiS of maruty but you will never lack power when its required. its power delivery is more linear I would say.
I got an average milage of 18-22 always when I kept my spped limit to 70 -90. yes its milage is really bad (15- 17) if you drive it harsh. AC is amasing. Its cools the cabiin in minutes and cochin heat was not able to touch us. Guys music sytem in this version is cool. you will love listening to anything. its dont have high bass or fine tweeters but good to listen. most of the time high end music sytem is a waste for you. i had all of them, sub .,amp everithing in my previous car most of the time I was febbiling through controls than enjoy my drive.
Built quality is superb. moving from maruty you can feel it. plastic in side is so sturdy that it will easy tolereate your naughty kids.
Over all its a good car with all essential features. you will love it if you are in your 30s, settling and looking for a good family car which you can keep for 10 more years.

I owned a bmw 3 series, honda accord and vw vento. This is good car for the money you spend. from my opnion this is better car than verna, fiesta and sx4, in quality and comfort. Before to buy this segment car you check this car, At last i can say, everyone have there own choice. so enjoy with what you like.
