The Exterior looks awesome. all thanks to the german designs, looks very similar to the itilian one. Love it. Even the back is excellent being the hatchback

the dashbord and the doors are very beautifully designed. love those when sitting inside it. it makes me feel like a sedan sitting inside.

if its your first car...and you are planning to buy the hatch back, close your eyes and sit inside this vehical. its erally superb. you will love it if youll sit inside once.
it your first car is a volkswagen then all your following cars would be volkswagen...nothing else is better in economy in front of VW

Height of car seems line the honda city is having. it should be raised to swift level...thats all. it actually doesnt matters but height improvement would make it the best hatchback among all competitors...

Exterior Excellent design, solid look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable for standard family - grandfather,grandmother, father, mother & a kid, Storage space is sufficient for standard family, if they opt for 4 days vacation together.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good. fuel efficiency is not at par as, I was told. it is 13.67 in city & 18.1 on highway.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is compfortable however handling a bit difficult , especially in traffic. Suspension is definalety good.
Final Words You need to be passionate about yourself, then will know quality of german brand. fairly priced for simple reason if other brand cars are available between renge of rs. 4.0-4.5 lacs, polo is definately value for money. My landed cost including octroi is rs. 5.1 lacs basic model + 15 thousand accessories. Rock solid look makes it differenct from other cars. Needless to compare with korean or japnese brands, after all its VW.

Exterior Amazing style, The more you look at the car more impressed you are. Fit and Finish is Amazing, thud sound that you can hear when you close the door talks volumes about the build.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Steering, Gear shift, Dash board and door Handles are amazing to feel when you are sitting inside the car, Its very elegant. Rear comfort that bothers me a bit other than this everything else outscores every car in the segment.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Gearbox is very well mated, gearshifts are slick and precise, I keep moving back and forth to enjoy the feel. you can always use one gear up. In most cases in the city, I use 3rd gear.. Engine is very responsive, beyond 140km/hr you will find wanting for power. but that isn't a concern by any means. Fuel economy is very good on highways and sufficient in the city.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is very nice, suspension is very well tuned to suit Indian roads, It absorbs small path holes easily and rolling is completely absent even at high speeds. Steering inspires confidence in the corners, it glides through corners with minimal effort.
Final Words Being from Mechanical Engg background, It was my dream to own a German Car. I am very happy with the car, and If it falls in your budget you should own one.
Areas of improvement Dealership experience was not worth a mention, I guess lot of effort has to be put by VW to make it a worth while and After sales service is a unknown territory yet.

Exterior It must be said that by far its the best looking car in its class and category; makes it stand out in the crowd. The low stance and sharp looks exude confidence and gives the car a sporty look.. The various cuts curves on the body gives the car superb aerodynamics.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The seats are very comfortable and the driving position is very relaxed. I have driven the car for 650 KMS in a single day - from Dehli to McLeodganj, and did not feel drained of energy. The car has got amazing suspension and glides on bad roads. The steering gives you a good feel of the road and pushes you to go on and on and on. The built of the car is very strong and gives you a sense of security and protection from the elements outside. The built quality is very well showcased the thud, you get while closing the doors - unlike the hollow sound in other cars. The seats are cozy and ergonomically designed, I hope its the only hatchback wherein the seats provide cushion to complete under-thighs, till the knees.

Long Term use: 20,000 KM
Exterior The car has proven itself on different situations and circumstances. Very good performace in city, highway and also on rough road or countryside roads or no roads. The body of the vehicle is still as elegent as it was when first took it our of the showroom.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Trendline has nothing inside, just the durable long lasting stuff to give you immense satisfaction. Yes inside everything is the same as it was. amazingly everytime i enter the car it gives me the same feeling as if the car is new.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Ok so now with more than 20,000 Km, i feel the engine has shown a great improvement, reaching 100 Kmph is fun and driving at 145 Kmph is as great as driving at 80Kmph. Trust me people this vehicle is very stable, i frequently travel on highway and i often drive at 140- 145 Kmph speed, the stability is amazing.
Highway fuel economy is: 17 + Kmpl; City: 11.5- 12 Kmpl
Ride Quality & Handling So this is the forte of the vehicle, amazing ride quality and handling. Ya but with 5 adults and boot fully loaded sometimes when you oversee the speedbreakers you will hear your suspensions working hard. But amazing driving experience.
Final Words Am satisfied with the vehicle, it is like this if you want to experience the greatest handling, ride quality in the segment which is bundelled with amazingly durable interiors and exteriors, this is the car to go with, the engine is not very powerful but it is definetly peppy enough to get that smile on your face. Also if you wish that five adults fit in easily- no no no that is nighmare with polo. Good for 4 guys.
Areas of improvement Rear leg room is very less, motor makes lot of noise after 4k engine revolutions(150 kmph). Rear suspension too soft.

Exterior The Polo is one of the most good looking hatchbacks in the market. This review is for Trendline Petrol, so it misses the body colored door handles and ORVMs but no issues. I have it in red and the paintwork is good. I will probably upgrade the halogen lights to LED, they're weak.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) I purchased the base model but with a clear idea that I wanted to accessorize it myself (and its cheaper!), and I think I made a good decision. Air conditioning is good, though I sometimes wish they could have thrown in climate control! The glove box is spacious, and plenty of nooks and crannies to store bottles and things. The dash doesn't look cluttered.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Initially the gearbox was tough but its become very comfortable. I'd like to think i'm a patient driver, so my gear shifts are smooth and slow, and I don't need to speed up and overtake constantly. Sometimes I do feel the pick up is slow. The mileage has been good given the horror stories i've heard from many reviewers, and has given me a generous 14-16 km with minimal AC use. In the past two summer months, the mileage has come down to 11-13, but with heavy AC usage.
Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is quite good, and I am quite satisfied. My previous car didn't have power steering, so i love to have that! The new Polo come with driver height adjustment as well, mine doesnt have it, but i don't miss it at all. I think the view from the drivers seat is quite good overall. The different way to reverse took a little while to bring into habit.
Final Words I am from Mumbai and Mumbaikars it seems have taken a liking to this car, considering the number of Polos I see around me. I did a lot of research when I was buying a hatchback, and frankly, my initial assessment was that rupee to rupee, the Polo offered more options and features compared to the Swift and i20. What actually sealed the deal was the low interest rate offered by VW Finance on my car loan.
Areas of improvement I've had the hatch for 6 months now, and its running smoothly (though it has a few bumps and scratches, with and without my contribution).
I haven't had a chance to take the car to the VW garage yet, and so if there are any horror stories there, i'll revisit my review. VW parts are quite expensive, and considering its built in India, they can consider bringing them down (compete with Maruti :-) ).

Look and Style Excellent.
Comfort Best when compared with Swift, i20, fabia.
Pickup I never thought 3 cylinder engine will be that powerful, considering the size of 3 cylinder, 75 bhp is more than enough.
Mileage I rather should not speak about this as I’m done with 524 km till yet and car is 2 weeks old but I know something that I have spent 3538.25 to travel 524 km so in short my average comes to be 6-7 per liter but may be coz it very new.
Best Features Front passengers seats way to comfortable, steering way to light, car literally floats, way to smooth, car is so silent that u have look towards the rpm gauge to confirm if the engine is on or not.
Needs to improve Spare Labor, rear seats leg room (But doesn’t matter to me coz I’m never gonna sit at the back, and it doesn’t matter to me if the person at back is comfortable or not Huh.
Overall Experience Car is dam awesome, I’m thrilled, I cant get my eyes of her, I’m obsessed with her, if u want to go for a car is premium segment go for this one with your eyes closed, she does speak on ur behalf, she is aggressive, she has her own attitude or I should say dominating attitude, when u park it anywhere, for me ur car speaks ur personality and kind of person ur, so if ur a toad go for i20, if ur dull go for fabia, and if urnot sure why ur so popular go for swift, but if ur kind of person who creates his own rules creates ur own opinion, does what u really like to do and make ur own way regardless million are following that same route VW is what you need.
She will never give u a reason to complain, speed breaker is too high, not to worry I’ll take care of that, I have no road available so any which way I have to get over the footpath to make my own way, not to worry I’ll handle that for u. seriously sayin she never complains.
Now after talkin too much about her let me get ur attention towards few things, she nothing less than a elephant, in order to maintain that quality for sure u have to spend money, having said that repair is bit expensive or in other words very expensive.
Now this being a two weeks old car and I’m talkin about repair this doesn’t sound good right but that was my own fault L. I took my car for stereo fit and that guy while connectin the amp drilled through the door for earth connection and while doin so he drilled through the floor wires, took it to vw has after that I started facein issue the door light was always on,
They took 5 hours to rectify the issue as I was neither sure if that is the issue so what they did they located that its coz of that particular connection and cable were touchin the car body coz of which light was always on, so they tapped that particular wire and told me that my car is ready, so at point of bill they gave me a bill for Rs 2000 to tape that particular wire :-o I was bit shocked but that they told me that We charge Rs 350 / hour for labour.
We worked for 5 hours = 350 * 5 = 1750 + 250 (for taping the wire) and they were nice enough to tell me that we have included the tax in this amount only so u don’t have to pay over 2000 + tax LOL they are so nice.
So basically guys my point is if 2000 was my bill for just to tape a wire what the future, no doubt I’m happy way to happy, and I have no regrets, but I’m talkin about u guys who are planning to buy this be sure even in future if u come across any issue and I they will spare entire day just to rectify that particular issue what u gonna pay as labor 8 hours * 350 = 2800 dammm
And yes good news is that there is capping on every service for labor that is 1600 which does mean regardless how much time they will spen on ur car labor will not increase more than 1600 :D. But if ur ready for these things Go buy it today, oh u can’t get it L coz u first have to book it LOL :D go get ur polo booked today it’s one awesome car.

Exterior I love the exterior look and classy finish.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Dash board has good look.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine noice is very low, you would never know whether engine is on or off while you are in traffic. You have to check the RPM meter to check. engine performance is really good at express ways and high ways and even gives you good mileage, i am getting 17.5 with AC on an average of 70 -80 KM speed.
Ride Quality & Handling Quality of drive in highway is extremely good.
Final Words CAR is GOOD but Service is POOR, Customer car does not bother you but they will show you like they are the one taking care of you. After sale service is another poor area, when I went for accessories addition, I had bad experience.
Areas of improvement One one only After Sale service, please do not go this brand if you are looking for customer friendly or looking for after sales service like simple car wash, additional accessories purchasse/ fitting, knowledge updtate etc.

Exterior: I love it every time I see it. Shape is best in class. I can compare it with Beetle or Esteem only.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort): Steering & seat position is such that I feel no fatigue even after a nonstop run of 150 km. (At times I have travelled from Mumbai to Pune nonstop.) Space is adequate for front as well as Rear seats. Boot is enough for a family of four. Fifth person is ok on rear seat for a short run.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox: Engine response at RPM below 2000 is a bit sluggish. Power band opens at 2700 RPM. Gear shifting is butter smooth. Till today, I have driven 5,800 km. There is no abnormality in engine sound. I normally get fuel economy of 15 KMPL in city- high way mix. But On Mumbai- Pune expressway, I got 24 KMPL. (I normally cruise at 100 km/hr.)
Ride Quality & Handling: I like driving fast. My Polo has touched 155 kmph. I think it should have gone to 170 but not more than that. In Mumbai- Pune express way ghat I take sharp turns at 70- 75 kmph; and touch 100- 110 on straight patches. In all situations, road grip is good; body roll is also nil.
Final Words: : In my Alto review I said “Can any authority suggest me a premium hatchback as reliable as Alto? (Its time to change car.)”- FINALLY I GOT ONE FROM VOLKSWAGEN.
Areas of improvement:
Door speaker position need to be changed.
Wipers can’t be taken out fully for cleaning, need a change in design.
Spare wheel to be arranged upside down so that valve is up.
Shape, Engineering, Brand name, aerodynamics.Front Door speakers’ position. Every time I enter or exit with a kick to the speaker. (So sorry)!!
