      When I thought of upgrading from my Ritz VDI I was pretty much determined for an automatic one. Being well used to Maruthi my first choice was Dzire ZDI AMT. Had my Ritz evaluated for sale and took a test drive of Dzire AMT on same day. I had never experienced an automatic car before and thought the shifts which felt inside the cabin was normal. Later I had a deep search on net regarding automatics and made my mind to test drive DSG automatic Ameo. It was a real change and the power from 109bhp engine which I felt during overtake was mind blowing and we can't even notice the gear shifts. In Kerala we have roads with many ups n downs and the hill hold control feature, which I think is a must for automatic cars, is a real boon. Though the boot is only 330l we can completely fold back seat for a bigger luggage space which is also unique. Just open n hold the hood n you will feel the quality of metals used in this car. Also Ameo comes feature laden which even the Vento lacks. On the down side we have some what cramped rear seat which matters if you are above 6ft and also I felt the suspension to be on stiffer side which on other hand helps for enhanced stability on curves. Overall this is one of the best choice in compact sedan segment and indeed the best choice for an automatic car in that segment.

      Purchased VW Ameo highline disel dsg . It's 4 lakh cheaper than vento and offer no single less feature. Best fro enthusiast. Most powerful disel engine I'm segment. Best automatic gearbox available. Engine is bit noisy and exterior are average. Rear space is good for two. But best driving experience and security features.

      1. Got discount because of bs 4 to bs 6 transition.. all other transactions were standard.. 2. Premium feel..engine is vocal still cabin is quite. Mirror aren't complete automatic-only thing i thought it is short of. Rear seat space is cramped. 3.NOT A DAILY CITY DRIVE CAR Car isn't exactly for city drive..gearbox just fixes on to 2nd gear ..like until wheels stops completely .so in bumper to bumper traffic its like driving an underpowered low capacity car. Gearbox won't shift to 3rd gear untill it reaches 2.5k rmp.. really even AMT boxes are tuned better. I have driven all other turbocharged,AMT coupled cars . All are better than this. ..guess what milage is sub-par to AMT version in city driving. car performance is best at highways and very stable. Maintainance is expensive as expected Cons- 1. terrible mileage in city for a diesel car 6-10kmpl 2.city driving experience is very poor even AMT's are tuned well 3..rear seats are cramped 4.expensive maintainance Pros.. 1.Good car for Highway drive 2. Might get discounts as product is been stopped 3. Future loaded except automatic mirror fold 4.sports mode is really fun when used responsibly
