Hi all, I am very new addition to Carwale. I would like to share my experience with My New Figo, for this reason only i joined in carwale. I have more than 13 years of experience in Engineering & Maintenance fields of various Auto OEMs and now i am working in Japaneese car maker. Based on my experience in various car production & quality systems, Car Tightening tools experience,Car fluid filling system experience and feedback from lot of my friends who are working in various auto OEMs in our country, finally I decided to go with Figo. I considered & test driven I20,swift,Polo and finally fell in love with Figo. Overall It is the best of the best in this segment and VFM car.
About the delear: I booked the vehicle on March last week 2013. Both MPL ford & Chennai ford sales reps nicely responded for my queries with more patience. Finally i selected Chennaiford for my Figo titanium diesel.They offered teflon coating,mud flaps,floor mat,boot mat. In addition to that, they given sport pedals, parking sensors,car cover,free registration all at free of cost. I got the vehicle at 6.94Lakhs on road.They even arranged finance @10.25% fixed rate. I took the delivery on 5th April as promised by the delear. After my car delivery also, Chennaiford (Mr.Magesh & CRM Mr.Samuel) called me and asked about feedbacks and suggestions. I am extremly happy about the delear also.
Exterior Very impressive exterior. Facelift is more impressive than the older version. Particularly the Front look is very bold kinetic design and looks like Astonmartin's. I like the front grille. Side view, flared arches, and corner views also looks excellent.Rear view is good.Exterior gives the feel of a strong sedan. It's very good stability while driving on high speed and sharp cornering. Unknowingly i fell love with this car.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very spacious vehicle largest space in the rear seat...Excellent boot space, not seen in any other smaller car. Best in the segment I feel. awesome interiors Bluetooth Feature is just tooooo Goood. With A Great Music Output. The Programmed key is sum thing different compared to other cars includes boot opener, Rapid Decleration Warning is one thing I have not seen in any other cars.Door trim with arm rest design is very convenient. Very good road view for drivers with driver seat height adjustment and daylight is excellent. Also i like the Instrument panel blue colour.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Good pickup, great mileage, gear box is very responsive.I took a long drive with my family from chennai to Ooty and i checked the mileage from chennai to mettupalayam (tank full to tank full technology)with the average driven speed between 100 to 120 close to 7 hours drive with 4 persons. only stopped for lunch in salem. It given a mileage of 19.9kmpl with full AC on condition. Then imagine, if i driven in the average of 60 to 80kmph, defienetly i will get more than 24kmpl.
From ooty to Mudumalai, there are two ways and the shortest road has 34 hairpin blind curves and also police allows local vehicles and drivers only to drive. so My guide driven the car. believe me, the road has dangerous curves to drive. During return, i had a doubt that, my car will take this challange of claiming the mountain or not. but surprisingly it took the challange and it took us in beautifull manner.
Ride Quality & Handling True to Ford style ride quality and handling are good, negotiating turns at high speed is not a problem. No vibrations & NVH levels are very very low in high speeds. Turning, parking,braking are very good.I landed in heaven when it comes to dirving experience.
Final Words No doubt best product in this segment, car is excellent. I would advised my Friends to go in for the Car. It is Really a value for money. No complaints. At this price and features this is the best beast on road. if compared to POLO, i20, etios, all the versions are at least 1.5 lakh costlier than figo. Ford has spent lot of money on safety features. comfort is also taken care of. even on rough roads the performance is good, till date have not scrapped the surface.
Areas of improvement Only rear windows should down fully.No other improvements should be made as this car is one of the best.

Exterior ARE GOOD AND APPEAR MUSCULAR DUE TO THE WHEEL ARCHS, ALLOY WHEELS ADD TO THE LOOKS. REAR LOOKS ARE COMPARITIVLY OK BUT COULD BE IMPROVED. FRONT LOOKS FABULOUS.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) QUALITY OF PLASTICS IS OK BUT COULD BE BETTER, THE SPACE ON OFFER IS AMAZING WITH GOOD LEG ROOM FOR BOTH FRONT AND REAR SEATS. BUT SPACE BECOMES A BIT OF CONCERN WHEN 3 ADULTS OCCUPY THE REAR SEAT. BOOT SPACE IS AMAZING WHICH WAS ONE OF A MAJOR FACTOR FOR ME TO BUY THIS CAR. SEATS ARE COMFORTABLE AND BODY ROLL IS VERY MINIMUM AT CORNERS. FEATURES OFFERED ARE EXCELLENT AT THE PRICE OFFERED. ONLY DRAW BACK IS NO POWER WINDOWS AT THE REAR EVEN IN TITANIUM. GOOD LUMBAR SUPPORT FOR THE DRIVER SEAT (SINCE I DRIVE ALWAYS) DONT KNOW ABOUT OTHER.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox PERFORMANCE AS FAR AS PICKUP IS CONCERNED IS ON THE LOWER SIDE (COMPARING TO TATA VISTA, MANZA WHICH I OWN ) MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF SOHC ENGINE WHEREAS THE OTHER IS DOHC ENGINE. CITY DRIVING DOES NOT SHOW THE DIFFERENCE BUT ON HIGHWAYS YOU FEEL THE LACK OF POWER WHEN YOU TRY TO OVERTAKE. FULE ECONOMY I AM GETTING OF 15KMPL AVG WITH AC ALL THE TIME WHEREAS MY DRIVING IS 50% CITY AND 50% HIGHWAY IN MANGALORE. DEALER SAYS THAT AFTER FIRST SERVICE ECO IS GOING TO IMPROVE. BUT I DONT WANT TO COMPROMISE ON THE PICKUP. MY VISTA IS GIVING ME 18 KMPL(50K+ KMS RUN) WHEREAS MY MANZA IS GIVING ME 17 KMPL(45K KMS RUN BUT WITH A LOT OF TURBO LAG). IN FIGO THE TURBO LAG IS BARE MINIMUM. GEARBOX I FEEL IS OK. NO PROBLEM IN GEAR SHIFTS AND GEAR RATIO IS PRETTY GOOD WHICH MUST BE COMPENSATING TURBO LAG IF ANY.
Ride Quality & Handling EXCELLENT RIDE QUALITY AND HANDLING BETTER THAN BOTH MY OTHER CARS. SUSPENSION SEEMS TO BE A BIT HARD BUT IS BEST TO ME AS I ALWAYS HAVE SOME OR THE OTHER LUGGAGE IN MY BOOT. BODY ROLL IS NEGLIGIBLE. ABS DOES ITS WORK FINE.
Final Words AS FAR AS MY PURCHASE GOES I HAD WALKED OUT TO A MARUTHI SHOWROOM TO PURCHASE SWIFT DZIRE BUT DUE TO THE DONT CARE ATTITUDE OF PEOPLE AT THE SHOWROOM I WALKED INTO FORD THE NEXT SHOWROOM INLINE AND WAS SURPRISED AT THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS PRESENTED AND BOOKED THE VEHICLE THEN AND THERE AFTER GOING FOR A TEST DRIVE.
Areas of improvement HEADLIGHTS NEED TO BE IMPROVED AS NIGHT DRIVING BECOMES A BIT HAZARDOUS IN UNKNOWN ROADS. REAR POWER WINDOWS NEED TO BE ADDED (MADE MY DECISSION ON PURCHASE A BIT DIFFICULT WITHOUT P/W AT REAR).

Ford Ikon was my first car. It was good enough, but I had to change due to lenthy car in city driving and the ford stopped it's production. I was researching since one month. n test driven all hatch backs.Although I prefer DOHC diesel engines But rejected the polo,Ritz swift, punto, Vista quadrajet, sail yuva, n i20 due to various reasons. i20 good but cost n lenth. Vista is really a value for money but the taxy brand n tata's quality??? Polo is good but rear leg room n rear passanger seat's thigh support? oh my God the VW is ignoring that? and Its lenth is more than figo, but cabin n boot r smaller; besides these crossing the budget. Beat is very compact in space n poor engine. Liva having only bottle holders, worst interior, noisy cabin; besides these looks is good only in it's tv add. Micra n pulse has less space but more cost. Swift?????? cost difference is one lakh becose it's most selling car, n you have to wait. Besides these again like polo It's length n width is more but boot only 202 lit. in comp of figo's 284 lit. punto is risky until fiat serves it's seperate dealership. Sail Yuva was good but it was new launch n again lenth fector??? city driving of swift is tough you just can't see the corners. Ritz is only the tall boy car, so for ladies in family it's not good car.
So After long research, I stopped on figo, n ultimately bought it on 12/12/12 at 12.12pm. The true value for money car, which serves you everything you need. I prefer safty n convenience so I bought New titanium. Althogh we use car only for maximum 12000 km in year, but I love diesel's torque. So went for 1.4 tdci. Exterior is good. It's look is neither executive like polo, nor sporty like swift. But it looks attractive, and I think It's look is for all. One can easily fell in love after looking it. The new front grill making it more aggressive. New headlamps n talelamps r also making it modern. The new alloys awesome. Interior new blue mind blowing. It's new driver seat height adjust and steering mount music control r the features which was really needed. I increased it's ground clearence 5 mm, by changing it's 175/65/14 tyres to 175/70/14. As it was predecided by me after few figo custmers advises. And I did so, coz they were happy by there decison. (now figo never touches the brakers).
It's new engine mobilization making it more powerfull in 2nd gear also. Gear shifting is not best but it's good. Clutch is very smooth. Steering is ok but it is good for stability in speed. Braking is also good may be due to ABS with EBD, but good. I have driven 1500 kms. Maximum at 160 km/hr. Great control n stability on high speed. If you drive at 1500 to 1800 rpm you can get upto 22km/lit. I drive fast n 25% driving is in city, so getting 17.4 km/lit. I think it is good.
Space? One day the guest arrived n we decide to go together in figo. we were 5 adults and 2children of 4 n 6 yrs in cabin plus two 11 n 13 yrs children in boot space with shutting the boot door. they both were near about 5 feet n was sitting on bags. we enjoyed figo lot. Music system with bluetooth conectivity is good.
As far as maintenance is concern it's cost is not more then maruti and hyundai; as i maintained icon. And ford is now growing fast these days so ass is not a issue. four yrs/one lakh km warranty serves you great peace of mind.
If you r in search of value for money car with having everything then go for figo.

Exterior Nice exterior looks(saying on the basis of my figo being sea-grey colour). awesome reverse parking sensors which alerts at a distance difference of 3-4ft
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable seating capacity for 5 people... interiors really look stunning with best in the class A/C, stereo system, bluetooth connectivity, cup holding consoles n lots more... only thing dissapointing is for the rear passengers who will lack the comfot of having power windows at back.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox I was highly impressed by its such nice pick up... jus for fun i took up a challenge with my friend's maruti swift vdi on the highway was stunned to see figo had left swift way behind (actually nt in the picture). Racing freaks can ur bet money on it.
Ride Quality & Handling At d speeds of 120-140km/hr(actually max speed till which i hd drove on highwy) figo is rock solid without any swaying.
Final Words If u want a car with all facilities like excellent pik up, comfortable interiors n exciting exteriors go for figo. FABULOUS FIGO.

Exterior
Comes with great style and look and tail lamp has very robust look but the biggest drawback is it has very very low ground clearance and bumpers are quite weak as they give you a plastic feeling

Interior is very nice with nice leg space. It`s music system is very nice along with music up/down button beside steering as it gives you the feeling of paddle shift

Gearbox is very smooth,Fuel economy is not great as my Figo gives around 13kmpl and engine is bit noisy

Ride quality and Handling is excellent as car remains stable at 130kmph

Ground clearance must be improved and back two windows should be power windows. Otherwise, this car is true synonym of "Value for money"

Exterior Ford Fiego has a good looking exteriors. it has a smily look.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Comfortable with large boot space, rear window glass shouldn"t be half open,it should get deep down. Music system is good.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Pick up is O.K but Engine is little noisy. One can feel the noise inside the cabin but differs with the change in acceleration/speed.Fuel economy is average,should have been better, gearbox is smooth.

Final Words I purchased this model after reviewing the comments,studying all comparisons and by test drive of.Now, I had completed 5700 km run. The Ford had furnished almost all possible features in this model that too in the competitive price. It has the best driving comfort, Boot space and comfortable inner space for the three in back seats with stylish look.
The only two things I think needs improvement. The ground clearance should be increased considering humps on Indian roads.This car is really best in its class and segment.I feel like competitors had been left behind.

Hey guys, This product called Fpord Figo is awesome. but never pruchase it as the service of dealers specially in Mumbai is so so bad. you are tired of just calls from them , repeat the same problem to 4 people and then also the problem is not solved. car is delivered after service in most shabby manner. Also if they tell u that they shall pick up the car again in 4 days, it shall actually be 2 months and you shall have to follow up not they. They pick your car in the afternoon and then say they shall deliver the next day. The estimates of service are wrong. They just try to call and ensure that you give good feedback, They do not do anything if there is a not so good feedback
In all a very bad experience 3 times , Never purchase a FORD car in India though the product is better. You shall have to beg for good after sales service for very basic things
