Exterior
C pillar looks massive whcih adds extra value to the classy design. The car looks pretty clean. The overall design commands presence on the road. The headlamps desined to go with overall feel of the car, what lack is the front grill. What difficult to beat in terms of design is from the Fiat's umbrella 'PUNTO'
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Space is much satishfactory, with a good leg room and boot space. Comfort at the rear is good in terms of expectation from a B+ segment car.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Ford have ever been good at his engines and same is here for Figo, a 1.2 L petrol engine and 1.4 L diesel engine helps to take you far places you desire. Fuel economy is excellent with the diesel variant and but I am quite doubtful for the offering of the fuel economy of the petrol variant. Gearbox is smooth but can be improved.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is great but can't comment upon the long hours drive. Handling is good at the corners and weights feel to be well distributed.
Final Words
It would be an excellent choice if you are looking for a car in B+ segment. Qutie cheaper to its competitors like Swift, Ritz and Punto. The last thing worries me is the cost of maintainance of the car which if improved, then its very difficult to beat.

Dear All,
Can anyone tell me how much is the maintenance cost for Figo Diesel? Everyone says it is more than Swift Diesel and it will be minimum of Rs.5000/-. I heard that Ford service people never repair things, they just say "Replace", is it true?
Some people told me not to go for Figo because there is no resale value as compared to Swift. I just calculated and found that new Swift VDI cost Rs. 1 lakh more than Figo EXI. Any idea about resale value?
Also confirm which dealer does good service in Bangalore......................................................

Exterior I felt the difference by purchasing a Ford Figo Exi, Diesel Car in August 2010 and driving the car in the city and outer compare to other petrol cars. It is very nice to drive in highways. No vibration is felt at a speed of 130 kmph. It is smoother than the Petrol cars.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Leg space good. Luggage space sufficient. CD Palyer with FM Radio is good. Automatic door lock while moving is fine. Hand rest for all four door. AC is very chill. Remote luggage room opening.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Fuel Economy is good for diesel car. Diesel engine is little noisy.
Ride Quality & Handling Good Power steering very convenient.
Final Words Very Good Car in this segment.
Areas of improvement It is better to provide a foot rest near the clutch. Back side window glass. full opening required. Low ground clearance,it touches the speed brakers on the road. Bonnet opener in the left side is inconvenience to the driver. Gear movement is little hard. Head lamp power is not sufficient for fast drive in the night.

Exterior It looks to be simple and has comes out with minimum unnecessary curves like beat,jazz or ritz... yet the figo looks very good and decent... just like any other typical ford cars !!! Its truly big in the B+ segment hatchbacks and obviously it has good road presence...!But anyway looks are subjective,so it differ from person to persons .Anyway, i personally rate : 8/10 for its exterior looks.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) WOW... Simply mindblowing....just like fiesta's interiors ! I love its designing of dash board and electronic console all seems to be impressive and good... and far times better than swift,ritz,punto and beat.Yet fabia,i10 and polo are having better interior than figo's.But still figo will surly let one down on its interiors.Also the music system and its four speakers really sounds good like anyother sony,JBL or pionner speakers.The most important that one will never fail to notice is itz powerful A/C... its not just chill but really cold... this is because it has got a 145CC compressor whereas others like swift/ritz and i10 has goot only 98CC compressor. The quality of plastics used in fabrication are are not best in its class but still its too good and much much better than swift and punto.Also the boot space,rear leg room,sholder room and seating positions are best in its segment and they are absolutely superB !Figo can accomidate 5 adults comfortably without much compramise in spacing and comfort even on long drives... I rate 9/10 for its interiors.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very much well refined and butter smooth .Absolutly no vibrations and very less noise.Power transmission in 1st,4th and 5th gears are too good,they are very responsive and produces quick jolt of torque on considering its engine segment.3rd gear is very average and 2nd gear is truly sluggish and poor in throttle responds.But on busy traffic conditions this will work ....because their is no need for frequent change in gears almost runs fully in 2nd - 3rd gear.Engine's low end and high end performance are very average but mid-range performance is truly impressive.71Ps of power is truly not enough ,where other cars beat figo in this term but eventhough its not a speedster still it is an DECENT PERFORMER. And gear box is very good on its feel... very butter smooth transmission of gears with good gear transmission ratios.Am getting an milage of 12kmpl in city and 15kmpl on highways.Overall,i rate 7/10 for its engine performance and milage.
Ride Quality & Handling And this is where the FIGO overtakes other comparitors. It has simply got the best in its class RIDE QUALITY AND HANDLING... the dynamics of this car is too stable even on 140km/hr speed.I was impressesd with this hatchback... just like the fiesta even on the sharp turns and hilly roads... it handles just like a knife in the butter.Effortlessly the FIGO does magic on its handling and ride quality where others cant even come close to it.The hydraulic power steering is always better than the electronic power steering.Only Figo,polo,jazz and fabia comes with the HPS where as i10,swift,beat and ritz comes with the EPS.The HPS provides more control and greater stability and responds on higher speeds than EPS.Figos power steering is very solid yet peppy. The figo gives the typical FORD DNA on this small wonder... it is certainly the DRIVERS CAR and a mere pleasure to drive. Here i rate a perfect 10/10 for this mean machine.
Final Words In a nutshell it is THE MOST COMPLETE CAR in its segment which provides space+comfort+features/lotz of goodies like bluetoot etc+best handling + refined engine + the FORD brand value.Also a very decent performance with average milage.Go for it and none will regret.
Areas of improvement 15+ kmpl of stable milage is expected, more torque on lower gears : this two factors are must to improve.Apart from that Automatic climatic control A/C + tiltable steering wheel with audio controls are expected atleast in the top end version !!!

Exterior I love the car looks. This is the only plus.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior looks like 3 yr old car!. No rear power windows. seat belts are of very poor quality. Plastic used is dirt chep. cheaper than Tata and Beat.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Noisy engine. You can hear the road noice inside very clearly. figo gearbox is hard to change, i found i10 gear are smoother to change. figo does not woble at high speed, but it knocks below 30 and hence not good to operate as far as new buyers are concerned. As i am a regular driver and drives 30kms everyday (I am a good driver 😎 ) , i get milage of 12 km/ltr. But if you are first time buyer, you will get 10-11 km/ltr. Hence you need to improve your driving skill to get an average of 12km/ltr. i10(Kappa) petrol fetched me 18km/ltr. and swift petrol gives 13-15 km/ltr.
Ride Quality & Handling People says ford cars are driver friendly. Give me a break i find i10 or maruti swift and even Beat better than Figo for Ride quality and handling. Beat does not knock even if you are in 4th gear and your speed is below 30. Low pick up.
Final Words If you want space, comfort and low engine noise, go for tata indica vista. If you want good milage go for Ritz diesel. If you are not worried about price and want a good car then volkswagan polo is for you. If you want a good engine and good style, then go for Fiat punto. If you need good service go for maruti or hundai car. If you want less maintainance and service cost and wanted to just add fuel and drive, go for Beat. If you want cheep car go for Figo! (Although i would suggest not to go for it, if you are first time buyer.). Also if you want to drive the car for 4-5 yrs and then want a good resale price, Figo is not for you. As per my experience you will be selling the ford car for the price of scrap
Areas of improvement Milage, engine noice, suspension, gear box, service, colors, power windows actually nothing is perfect. The best part is all the features provided are either average or poor, nothing is perfect except looks and price tag.

Not an eye catchy looks like Punto or i20 or beat, but personally like the design. It is more kind of a family hatch.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)
Interiors are comfortable and spacious. Can accomodate 5 adults easily. Great boot space(class leading). Plastic quality is decent but not great. Music system is of good quality. Clutch dead pedal missing means can be strainful during long rides.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox
Little sluggish when AC is on. Pick up is not that great when compared other 1.2 segment cars like Ritz, Swift. Fuel economy promised is encouraging but will have to wait and see. Gear box is little rigid but it is most common in Ford vehicles. Felt little difficult to engage 5th gear.
Ride Quality & Handling
Ride quality is good and handles the curves neatly. but somehow felt little unsafe compared to punto's handling capabilites.

VFM hatch. Ford has really pulled out a decent car for indian market. I think it will do good.

For the price, one need not be too demanding, however must say after almost 12 months of owning the car have been most satisfied with its ownership and the dealership (wasan) have addressed small problems to satisfaction. Highlight is the driving pleasure, the airconditioning and the space and ofcourse have got amazing fuel economy specially on long runs where returns were in excess of 18 kms/litre and even a return of 13/14 in a city like Mumbai is creditable. Even lag which one associates with diesel vehicles is barely noticable.
Only sore point, rather two is the poor lamps which leave you almost blind on highways and therefore night driving could be a problem on unventured roads. Furthermore, ground clearance needs to be enhanced else your vehicle is scrapping almost every other speed breaker.
If these issues are addressed alongwith some more dealerships, Ford have a winner on its hands, a long-term one I would like to add.

Final Words Only problem is ground clearance. pathetic. very low ground clearance even small speed brakers will damage the car. I purchased it knowing that it has ground clearnace problem keeping in mind the other good features.But, ground clearance is one thing really made me upset after driving 500 Km. after through research and feed back i went for FIGO. Same problem for all FIGo cars.

Personally i liked the design of fusion which more or less is inherited by figo, tapered roof at the back is to go for, but again that varies with every individual. The wiper is good and helps a lot in rainy season in pune:-).

Interiors are good but shoddy plastics used by ford somehow reduces the feel.It could have been much better.Missing power windows at the rear is somewhat unexpected.Probably ford can fix that in times to come and maybe if they can provide it to the existing customers at a nominal price say :-) .
After all Customer satisfaction is important.A lot of space at rear is an added advantage and belive me your friends will all be talking about it when you offer them a ride:-).Driving experience is very smooth and is comfortable as well.5/5 to ford for all that space and comfort level.

Engine is not very powerful but not that dull also.without Ac, it works well and yes it do feel sluggish when you drive it with AC on.But is anytime better then most of the Maruti's and Hyundai's.Gearbox could have been better and was expected also from Ford.Fuel economy is a cause of concern, i am getting around 13kmpl in city driving with a mixed use of AC(AC is powerful) and till not have not driven it on the highway for a long drive will update the results of it once done.

Ride quality is very good and i can say better then most of the same segment cars and car is very easy to handle and stable

GO for it if you are looking for best value for money.It is a good family Hatch.

Have driven 100 kms, yet to count fuel efficiency. Even at 16 km/lt and diesel@ 41, it is better than petrol cars which give 8-14 km/lt and petrol @ 54. Engine refined and gear box smooth.

Handles well, despite sedan like design, visibility for driver is good for driving judgement.
Final Words
I have a swift diesel and am well placed to compare both. The swift engine may be more fuel efficient, but thats the only benefit. Otherwise, maruti is fleccing customers in giving less space, features at a much higher price. Maruti dealers will tell you ford is exepensive to maintain, but they are already charging 50 k more than figo initially, so its the same at the end of the day. Overall, except for fuel average, figo looks ahead of swift and ritz. No music system & remote entry in both marutis. Swift 4 months waiting or 30000 premium. What monopoly!!! Maruti should stop producing alto, a-star etc and make only swift to stop this waiting period.
