Exterior It has a sober yet neatly designed exterior. It suits to all age. Its sharp eyes will attract the young mass and the back will pull in middle aged customers. Has a good paint finish with a strong clear coat on em. The bumper and the surrounding body is very resilient that u dont need to worry about the frequent hits in the bumper to bumper traffic.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Lots and lots of space both at the rear and front. The front seats almost fold back nearly upto 180 degree until its hit by the back seat. U can sleep comfortably. There are many cubby holes to clear things from your pocket. one can easily place a 1 litre bottle on each door. plastic quality though not upto the mark of german rivals is worth the cost u pay and far better than maruti and tata. There is a slight engine noise in the cabin.
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The 1.4 duratorq is a fun to drive machine. the engine is as smooth as a butter. Work through the gears properly and you wont even know when the turbo kicks in and goes off. Very linear. The sweet thing about this engine is u can be atleast a gear more than u should be. the engine pulls away easily. Many say u dont need the first gear in a diesel. No. it isn't so. shift to the first as soon as you go below 10kmph. i am still in the run in period and a new engine is supposed to give poor mileage until the cylinder walls are worn out an bit. I get around 12kmpl in peak city traffic.
Ride Quality & Handling Run through all small pot holes with ease. The suspension will soak it. be careful with manholes when the car is fully loaded. its tends to scrape the bottom. Steering is a joy to use. very fast in response and one will enjoy flicking the wheel. brakes are mind blowing. what ever is the speed and how hard you brake, the car remains very stable. Thanks to the ABS unit.
Final Words Its a perfect indian car and can easily surpass other competitors for itds value for money.
Areas of improvement People at ford say that the rear manual window is for child safety. I personally hate it.
Lots and lots of space, gear ratios that match Indian trafficRear manual windows and no alloy wheels
