French automobile manufacturer Citroen was founded in 1919. Founded by Andre Gustave Citroen, the company is a part of the PSA Peugeot Citroen group since 1976. The brand also has a motorsport division, known as Citroen Racing.
Citroen made its debut in India in April this year. The company has collaborated with the CK Birla Group and its factory is located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The first product for the brand in India, known as the C5 Aircross, will be launched before the end of 2020. Citroen will also launch all-electric vehicles in the country by 2025. These models would be manufactured with high levels of localisation.
