Exterior Awesome unbelivable.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very good but less space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good, awesome sound at even lower rpm gives you a race car like felling, gair box is good as compared to ritz and inferior to i10 or micra,fuel economy is good but only after 5000km when you get it serviced.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is good and handling is awesome but ground clerance is low andto make it more worse the seats are also not given at a height so if u are a tall or a little fat persson you should think before buying it.

It has a majaor drawback of being very light weighed and if u park it over a brick its back tyres are lifted in air and it doesnt even climb up over the bricks very easily suspension is not good for you if you already have driven the ritz, wagnor, i10, punto or others in its segment.

Final Words Good sporty car for city to city drive only on smooth roads not in broken ones.

Areas of improvement Ground cleaence should be improved and pickup and weigt should be incerased a bit.

Look and Style: IMO this is the second best looking hatchback after punto out there. Gets 10/10 in Look and Style.

Comfort: Very comfortable front 2 seats..as good as the big sedans..Rear is not comfortable but manageble(Every car has its ups n downs, Beat as more ups then down :))

Pickup: Awesome pickup when AC is off(Second best to Swift i guess)..When AC is ON the 2nd gear pick up is a bit low(better than figo)..Other wise you will enjoy driving this ride - fun drive.

Mileage: I did a tank full to tank full auto cutoff at the same petrol bunk - Shell Super and got an very impressibve 14.10 KM/LT with 30% AC usuage and 60% City and 40% Highway

Best Features: Love the auto AC and the power when AC is off...It is the VFM 1.2Ltr engine and if you often drive ur car without any passengers then I would any day recommend this over the highly overpriced Swift or Punto or Polo or i20...y pay over 1 lakh more for a tiny difference in space, instead spend 2lakh more for a sedan n get more cc and more space(No offense to anyone its just my personal openion)...Everyone out there is complaining abt the stock speaker but i found them very good infact very cool..Try using USB with songs of 320 KBPS and with bass - '-2' and Treble at '+4'...

Needs to improve:Pickup with AC on second gear..Other gear powers are very good...Well this is true for any car..So is not a deal breaker

Overall Experience: I planned to buy a car in March itself and started research..Finally after all research finalized on 4 cars Figo deisel LDI(Petrol was underpowered so opted for deisel - rejected coz of poor sales response n behavior - I was too smart for them ti realise that the price difference between the lower end n top end was not justified in any way) , Beat LT(fell in love at first site and at first TD but thought to TD other cars before finalising), Tata Manza ABS (Loved the space inside & amazing handling- rejected coz the dealer(prerana Motors - rajajinagar) was trying to cheat me by selling a 1.5 yrs old vehicle at today's price) and Ertiga VXI ABS(since it was a new launch n budget was not a problem - rejected due to long waiting period)...Still now not faced any issues and very happy with my first ride..It really takes a long time & hard research to get hands on the ride which u r meant to own and destined for all ur hard earned money.

Its different.... For those whose are fed up seeing those swifts, wagon r's, santro's and i-10's..... chevy brings you THE BEAT.

Exterior

The headlamp seems to be too much dragged on to the hood. The width of the tire (which is obviously visible) & the wheel cover design is pathetic (not an issue for those who are ready to go for the option pack). The rear door handle design is unique (as i said 'its different'), but the handle is plastic & its cheap and pulling the handle should be in the opp direction (those who own the car will know it)

The car was first seen in the movie Transformers-2. It had great sporty looks with some amazing graphics. when i heard, that was the car Chevy is going to launch, i was really happy and never believed i would have a second thought in buying the car.Even the Ad was very interesting. But I was proved wrong.It looked entirely different from the movie. But only when i heard about the pricing, i came to know that, it was a value-for-money car rather than a awesome sports hatchback. All in all a different looking but not a great looking car. [Some guys may disagree with my review on the looks. its just my personal opinion]

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

First time you sit in the drivers seat, you see the steering column (i know, thatz obvious). It looks great. Similar to that of cruze and honda jazz. Then the instrument cluster, again, it looks different but cheap. the instrument panel is attached to the steering column, so the steering adjustment doesn't affect your view on the cluster. The use of plastic on the instrument panel is so cheap that u get bored after looking it for a while. I don't think it would have cost chevy anything more if they had used a better quality plastic.

The stereo sound quality is according to the price of the vehicle. Its just OK not good. The USB port is a micro USB one, you may need a connector to connect a pen drive.

Another add on is with the a/c. You rarely get climate control for a/c at this price. The a/c is good. but the blower sound is too much and it does take much time to cool even at 32 degrees

There is enough space inside for handy stuffs. The boot space is very small even for city people. i-10 has done far better in utilizing the space. With lesser overall length the engineers have managed to get almost same wheel base and 226 ltr boot space as compared to 170 ltrs in Beat. That is why I think people chose i-10 as the favorite small family car through carwale awards.

The interior is awesome once it gets dark. the green illuminated lighting creates a great ambiance in the car. the a/c - stereo part really looks awesome when lit.

Now people who are short like me will have a visibility problem. the dash is placed a bit higher than it should have been or there could have been a height adjustment(the good thing is, you get used to it). The A pillar is too wide and blocks the view a bit. Apart from that, the seats are really comfortable. the gear knob and the a/c - stereo controls are easy to reach.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

My title to this review gives my opinion about the performance. Its not good as expected. May be the hype created by chevy in those Ad's made me think so. The initial pickup in the first 2 gears is very less. (this wont affect much in bumper to bumper traffic) but still, it is an area of concern. (people who use the older versions of wagon-r, alto, estilo etc will know very well). The engine sound is neither sporty nor cool. Its some what disturbing.....Even when i was not happy with the looks of the car, i hoped the performance will be great. But I was proved wrong again.

I am not sure about the fuel economy. They said it gives around 16-17 km-pl, but considering the acceleration to be given for sudden pickups(common is city traffic, or else the people behind u will start honking like anything), i would expect 12 km-pl with a/c.

Ride Quality & Handling

The car does bump on potholes and bad roads for which the tire size is to be blamed for. otherwise its smooth on good roads like any other small cars. The steering wheel is light & the turning radius is a boon to city traffic.

Shifting gears is not smooth. Feels like getting stuck sometimes.(you will get used to this issue also)

As mentioned above, the light tiltable steering wheel & the turning radius gives a good handling. (getting wider tires can make it better)

Final Words

Its a car, which is a real example of what we say 'value for money'. People who have to travel most of the time alone or with one companion can opt for this car, reason being.... better pick-up & mileage with few people and better space for luggage, in a car loaded with features at an affordable price. In my personal opinion it is not a car for a family of five.

Areas of improvement  

Engine power & sound, Tire size, Plastic quality in the interiors, height adjustable driving seat, blue tooth connectivity. [Apart from engine refinement, all other improvements could be bought into the optional pack with a affordable price hike for those who really love this "Different Car". This can give a real kick to Figo]

Exterior This Car has best exterior look I have ever seen. First Saw this car in English movie. but that was even more aggressive looking. Good solid body. Very Aggressive styling. You will be Fool enough to compare with Marutiiiiiiiiiiis No ass looks.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Good Dash board, good fit and finish, Nice Seats, Good music system, missing bluetooth connectivity.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Main USP of car is its performance. Turn off the Engine and man this  car runs like anything. Good Handling. Little lighter Steering. bit bumpy ride on very rough patches. Not very good gearbox. A bit hard at times.

 

Ride Quality & Handling I travelled many times on Mumbai Pune Expressway. I have driven the car at Max 160 kmph. But take my words this car does not give you any indication of this speed. Yes ofcourse you can achieve this speed with AC off. Very fun to drive. Good manouverability.

 

Final Words Buy if you like to drive the car. but if you think of good service then buy No ass car from marutiiiiiiiiiis. Common man change your perception. Go buy chevy.

i'm dubious about fuel economy- i'm getting only about 12 kms with ac in city

engine performs excellent at high rpm's but not so good at lower rpms. when contacted the agency engineer claims were that engine had chain drive which don't pick up so quickly in contrast to belt drives but are very reliable. the words were not satisfactory enough

Final Words

if buying vehicle on reading reviews about economy of vehicle then wait for some time till some real figures are pitched in. if buying for styling, then go for it and ask ur dad to get in the fuel. i need to fill in by myself so i'm a little scared from future.

Final Words I bought my car last weak it was beat LT by purchasing I am feeling proud when I took it at my home everyone watching with excitment every one like it all my neighbour and friend very impressed for its design and look. But when i took it home as I reached at home its tyre of right front was puncture and it disturb the mood of joy. though it has tubeless tyre so I feel very bad as it is a new car and puncture in its only run of 12 kms. So that was a bad experience. I ask the dealer he said it was not his fault I said him that i have only drive from showroom to my home only 12 kms. but the statement wasn't given me any result. I ask the mechanic because it is new car to change the tyre.

Exterior Attractive , After huge impact on my back side  still its look very minor impact seems wat they told during the purchase " impact proof" is True.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The features available in this car at this price tag is I can say impossible in any make of car of this budget. Everything is well designed and you'll find a small small space be it ot front pannel dash board.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Runs 3500 Kms and I am feeling  good and In High ways its reaches to 19+ ,but in city region its come around 13+ , Reverse gear shift is not perfectly done.. need to rechk once again .

Exterior No other car comes near to this car in terms of styling. On top of it their are so many colors available that you really feel pampered. I have a red colored one, looks are amazing and every little accessory adds to its looks, even a simple fire extinguisher looks good in the car, thanks to matching red color.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Space is good, never felt crammed even with four people driving long distances. However in case of driver seat, I felt some problem, but that was normal since i prefer have huge legrooms on driver seat.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine pick up is amazing, you can go upto 160 without any vibrations and best part is you will feel in complete control even at that speed. The roaring sound of engine gives a sporty feel to the entire experience.

Ride Quality & Handling Comfortable and smooth. Good car for city traffic since it has shorter turning radius and good heights.

Only problem is with the rear glass. The glass size is prity small compared to all other cars. The door lock is also situated on the window, this blocks a good part of the rear view. Thus one is left with no option but to drive with side mirror. The problem persist even with front mirror, where the side rails are also wide enough for a complete two wheeler to be missed from your side.

Final Words If styling is of prime importance than go for it. Only drawback is the maintenance cost and average. 

Areas of improvement Both mirrors can be made better, so that driver can have a better look.

Areas of improvement Overall good value for money, Chevoret should focus on beat pick up. Little issue in intially pickup, otherwise perfect top speed, i had tried the vehicle on top speed 155 kms, but not unbalancing feeling, very good grip on high speed, very comfortable in highway drive, sometimes you should care while crossing the high breaker. Front bumper is little down due to the sportz design. overall good car in this segment, I have bought the Beat LT in March 11 & have done 10000 kms in three months, but i have not found any hassels to driven 10000 kms. it's easy to handling, comfortable & secured feel when u driven the vehicle over 100 kms speed.

Interiors & main console are very goodlittle issue in pickup 2nd or 3rd gear
