Exterior It has a timeless look, and though it is not a very fancy looking car like the Verna or City, it has a subtle styling to it that demands respect. The bold grille with generous amount of chrome lines has added a lot of class to the car and it looks more upmarket than the earlier version.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior plastic quality is very good, which shows that Germans are not ready to compromise on quality for cost. Though the interior is classy and all controls are within reach, it lacks the modern look of some of its competitors and hence may not be liked by everyone. Also the touchscreen is totally useless with just a basic phone connection, radio and music controls. It is supposed to have Mirrorlink but that also is not compatible with most of the phones. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 which is Mirrorlink compatible but hardly any apps are supported. For navigation, we can only use Sygic or Bring Go both of which are useless apps, plus they are free only for a month. Music player also does not work properly on Mirrorlink so it is a feature which is of no use. Volkswagen has lot of technology on Android Auto and Mirrorlink, but they are not interested in launching any in India.

Also there is no stop/start button, you have to start this car the conventional way though I personally feel that we do not need the button feature as it hardly gives any convenience but adds a lot of compication in the car. Another missing feature is the sun roof which almost all cars in this segment provide. Though I really wonder why we need it in India when already there is so much of sun available for us.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Amazing is the only word!! Right from the word go.. The TSI engine is fun to drive and gives you power exactly when you need it. The combination of TSI engine and DSG gearbox is fabulous and it is almost as if it reads your mind and provides you the exact 'feel' that you need whether you are cruising lazily on a highway, or want to overtake a truck in a hurry, or need to crawl your way through stop start city traffic. The car handles all situations effortlessly. And once in a while when you feel the adrenaline rush, you have S or Sport mode, which instantly transforms the TSI engine into a race car!! You get absolute power with the sound of revs as if you are driving on a race track!! There is a manual mode too, but unless you are hell bent on controlling gears yourself it is not needed. Overall an amazing experience. Fuel economy is decent, gives about 12 kmpl in bad city traffic and goes upto 20 kmpl while cruising at highways. Given the weight and power output of the car, the above figures are quite good, though some 'kitna deti hai' fellows may not be convinced with it. My suggestion to them is if 'kitna deti hai' is your primary concern then don't even consider a sedan. Go for Nano or Maruti Alto instead or a diesel car.

Ride Quality & Handling Very good ride quality and handling. The steering is very responsive and it is a little hard at low speeds and becomes softer once the car starts moving. Suspension quality is very good and even at worst road conditions we do not feel much inside. Ground clearance though is a bit less and we need to be cautious of that especially while driving in potholed or unpaved roads in rural India. However having driven a Honda City ZX before, I can assure that I am much more relaxed at bad roads than what I was while driving the Honda city.

Final Words Very good car and a must buy if you love driving and want a car that gives control of manual with convenience of automatic.

Areas of improvement VW should work on improving the Mirrorlink and connectivity experience and enable the connected car feature for India. IN today's IOT world it feels like a dinosaur to drive a car which is lacking in connectivity and smart features.

Build quality, interiors, engine, gearbox, suspension, features, handlingLess spacious and lacking in gizmos

Hello friends today I am going to write a review about Volkswagen Vento petrol 1.2 automatic transmission, buying experience from deccan Volkswagen is excellent, brilliant and superb,my friend purchased it., riding experience, seating comfort, is nice steering not fast responsive, creates a lot of noise from engine and interior and exterior, I love the bone body chilling A/C , rear ac vents, performance also a bit of lazy, looks are awesome but very simple and plain a bit stylish, and not as aggressive as its competitors, servicing and maintenance also not a big problem. Finally I love this car with each and every aspect , safety, comfort, reliability, features, looks, gear box performance also good. Kindly note that this is a PETROL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION VOLKSWAGEN VENTO. PRO'S : 1. Chilled ac 2.good performance 3.good boot and cabin space 4. Safety features like abs, 2 airbags for driver and co driver etc.. 5. Good seating space and comfort level spacious cabin and car. CON'S: 1.high engine noise 2.both inside and outside. 3. Fuel economy and efficiency in automatic transmission of petrol variant average 4. Very overpriced and high priced 5.high cost of ownership 6. High cost of servicing and maintenance 7. Cabin insulation 8.lack of power 9. Simple looks not stylish awesome and aggressive as competitors 10. Volkswagen costlier than Hyundai. A very good German brand, good car overpriced but can go for it atleast better than Hyundai verna. Thanks.

You cannot compare with other Sedans, build quality is superb and very stable on high speed. In highway it's average touches around 19 km on petrol. But in very High traffic it goes down to 6 or 8 km for example if your car is moving about 5 km per hour. I think every car will give this mileage if we move that slow.

Riding is butter smooth. Can't find any gear change observations like jerk or lag. It's seamless. Highway ride is the best place for pleasant driving thrill. Better essential features provided like cruise On, Sports Mode, inside mirror dim are the few for driving thrill. In city hill assist is very useful practical feature.

I bought this car in October 2016. The services from Volkswagen dealership was very good as I didn't face any problem and my car was delivered smoothly . ride quality is very smooth. The best part in this car is its 7 speed DSG transmission where it offers sports mode and the shifts are very smooth you will not find any jerk in the shifts. Amazing looks from front its maintenance cost is little more than its competitors Pros ride quality is very good Cons it has lack of features which other competitors are offering.

Very Good sedan car comfortable, posh looking .and trouble free. Not that expensive service that too when you have bumper to bumper full insurance. I d value is more which shows that car itself is costly. Good car for long driving and for elders Excellent shock observers.Big and comfortable boot space

I've been driving Vento TSI for 3-4 months now. When it comes to driving experience, Vento TSI puts even cars from a higher segment to shame. The cabin is quite and decent, as compared to its competitors, it doesn't have all the fancy features, but very practical usage. The looks as we know haven't really changed since 6-7 years now which makes it look too simple in the market of stylish cars, but it more than makes up for it with the tremendous built quality. Its a driver's car, phenominal control over the steering, monsterous in sports mode. Infact that's what convinced me to compromise on better looking cars. No other automatic gearshift car in this segment can match it. The built quality of interiors is sturdy and sound, makes you feel safer overall. Specially the thud you feel on shutting the door. It has a unique feature of safety where the window automatically rolls down if something obstructs while closing, I found it safe just in case. The suspension really eases off nasty pot holes and uneven surfaces. Overall it delivers a completely satisfying performance. Pros : Driving experience , built qualtiy, comfortable ride, Cons : Too simple looks , service slightly costlier,

Only ONE point is bothering me - the Emission Norms of the Vento TSI 1.2 HL (2015 model). Can anyone confirm whether this car is BS-IV? I can't find a single document from VW / Dealer that supports this claim. Recently, during a PUC check, the vendor categorically told me that my car is BS-III, now that came as a BIG surprise!!!! I also have a Polo GT TSI (2021 model) -- here too I couldn't find a single document that supports the claim that it has a BS-VI engine.!!!
