Areas of improvement  

I will give 100% YES for driving VW Vento but at the same time all the luxury that you have for the whole ride quality may be dissapeared if your car meet a small accident because

1. Service center keep your car for at least 2 weeks. (It happened twice with me. Once for break shoe of one tyre they kept my car for 3 weeks. And recently they kept my car for 2 weeks for flap motor.) PPS Motors, HYDERABAD

2. Second very important thing is every part is very very costly (In my case a small engine hose pipe costed 5000 INR which for Maruthi would cost you 600 INR.).

3. You have no choice than a Authorized dealer as VW parts are not available in open market.

4. Dealers make money mostly out of servie and parts only. In my case it happened twice

            A) In one of the general servicing they change the Engine Hose Pipe and informed me while car delivery saying that Oil leak happen if they dont change. I park my car on a concrete surface all teh time and never see a drop of oil leak.

            B) I met with accident recently and the service center gave initial quote for 40,000 INR and final bill came upto 82,000 INR.

No doubt, after 3 years also my car give me a flawless ride quality but i do not want to buy another VW car unless VW enter into open market and increase the dealers to cut down monopoly culture.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine parts keep failing now and then.places where i have spend -Tappet oil cover leak 20000 rs,water pump failure -10000rs, gear linkage problem - 7000 rs.these are parts which have nothing to do with your driving .labour is sometimes equivilant to the parts cost.tata products will last longer.B U bhandari pune gives you only one answer for any problem wear and tear. they have been trained to say the same words.contact the company for any problem and they will again send your mail to the dealer means you are back to square one.

first 2 years you will love the car.then the honymoon period is over they start emptying your bank balance -15000 rs per servicing spare parts extra.

VW has good strategy sell the car at a affordable price then rip you off in after sales service .expensive spare parts,too high labour charges,dumb staff who think no end of them self.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling is good so is the ride but at what cost that is important

Final Words Buy maruti ciaz  ,hyundai verna or honda city dont even think about VW. you cannot do anything after you buy this car ,cant sell it as you will get peanuts bad resale value.have money buy merc or audi the maintenance will cost you the same as volkswagen vento

Dear Sir,

I have purchased Volkswagon vento 1.6(MT) trendline  in Oct 2011. Since then I am regularly driving the Car on daily basis. I regular cover around 15-20 KM per day.

From last 2-3 days I found the problem in shifting the gear while driving the CAR on inclined roads. Once I select the gear to 2nd,3rd and 4th even though accelerating the vehicle I am not able to move forward the VEHICLE but in 1st gear it is working fine on inclined roads. When I contacted the service centre person he suggested me to replace the gear selector mechanism.

But I am very disappointed by hearing this, because

·         Its only 3rd year and such a major gear transmition failure happened in the CAR

·         My feeling is volkswagon is the most reliable design and within 3rd year of car purchase such major failure is causing me to change my perception

·         After I purchased the CAR my 16 friends purchased the CAR in my company and your company has selected “Secure Meters Limited Udaipur (Rajasthan) in corporate discount list

·         I am the single person who drives this car

·         I am driving the CAR on daily basis since 1998, almost 16years.

·         I drove Maruti, Hundai and never found any problem in their CAR but the first experience of Volkswagon is very bad for me.

·         Till date I covered near to 22000KM

I am attaching the snapshot of same for your reference.

Request you to please look into the problem and give me proper resolution by replacing this gear selector mechanism. I hope you also conduct the root cause analysis of this problem.

Recently, my vehicle has problem of intensed vibration from Engine while running. Reported the problem at Automark Ahmedabad. I understand from Service station that Fuel Injection has failed and had to replace. I had to pay for this. I had discussed this issue with Customer Care Executive at Showroom as well as Service Head over phone, I did not get satisfactory response. Further, Customer Care Excutive assured that she will take up this issue with Concerned Authority and give soultion. I have yet not received any such solutions. I understand now that there is serious problem of Fuel Injector from most of Diesel Engines and feeling that i might end up in maintenance problem.    Recently, my vehicle has problem of intensed vibration from Engine while running.
