To start with since we decided to buy the Vento we were always told that we will get it with Apollo tyres. I had put in a request to change this tyres with Michelin (after paying the differential cost) which they rejected, agreed company policy. Never during the interaction I was told that I will get either apollo or JK tyre. To my surprise when the car was delivered it was delivered with JK tyres, on checking with the sales guy he told me that its JK that we give with diesel versions.
Had it been the case why did the trial vehicle was fitted with Apollo tyre and Almost every diesel vento running on road is fitted with Apollo Tyres, Then why is that my top end diesel version car is fitted with a JK tyre.
Further he told on the day of delivery that its either JK or apollo that we give. This is the first time I was informed about this, Never during the month long interaction I was told that its either JK or Apollo. He also told me that its of similar quality for which I took his word (On checking with the local dealers we found that per tyre there is a difference of Rs 400.00 between Apollo and JK of the same specs), As I did not to fight / argue on the day of delivery. I took the delivery of the car without any further argument.
NOTE: I was upset as I already a bad experience with JK tyre with my existing car.
All my fears came true when on the 24th July 2011 (950 km old) when I found my front wheel punctured on further investigation we found that there was leakage in the air valve tube which was puncture on the side resulting in multiple puncture in the tyre.
On speaking to the service center they told they will replace the air valve for which they kept the vehicle with them from 27th July 2011 till 30rd July 2011 not acceptable at all from german engineering. Instead of finding the main cause of problem they have lot of isquies.
