Worst car and a dishonest manufacturer.

The worst decision I made in my life is buying this junk of car . I purchased the vehicle in used condition and had barely run 8000 km and before purchasing I had checked the accident and maintenance records and there was none since the first service was to be at 15 k KM's. When driving in Bangalore one night I was traveling at around 60 km /hr and the right side front wheel suddenly popped out as the connecting rod just came off !! Called the VW road side assistance and was told a towing vehicle will take the car to the nearest location and after 3 hours a semi-truck came by with no proper towing equipment or tow bed . They used chain to lift the vehicle and also damaged the radiator . After 15 days they sent me a repair estimate of 1.2 lakh and I told them this was to be covered under warranty because it was not an accident but a mechanical failure but they did not agree and forced me to file for insurance and the insurance company denied the claim stating it wasn't an accident . After running pillar to post and vw stopped replying to my emails . To top this off It took them 3.5 months to fix the car . The ground clearance of this car is pathetic Very noisy cabin Ineffective brakes Boring interiors Expensive service and parts Manufacturer is dishonest Finally sold the 8.5 lakh car for a mere 2.5 lakh due to all its issues and had run only 36000 KM's and went for ford and am super happy with Ford's service and vehicle quality. Will never buy any VW car or recommend it to anyone . German engineering my A** .
