Exterior Exterior is good but very minor changes from previous one, Lots of required Items are not available like. OVRM, LED Lights etc.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) For back Seat users its very small, even you are not able to relax for a while and if you are 5.10 and above this  car is not ment for you.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is very noisy and Fuel eco is only 10-12 which is very less, also if you want the boost in 3,4,5 gear you will not able to even push . Gear Box is good, but back gear is very uncomfortable.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride Quality is good and you can drive the car very long time.

Final Words I have purchased this car about 3 Months ago and visited the Workshop for approx 18 Times till now, Services from Volkvagen are worst. They will not listen you even. I have purchased this car from Ghaziabad with Reg No - UP 14 XX XXXX, Personally in single word if I discribe this car " I have done biggest mistake to choose this".

Areas of improvement Services, Sales and Engine and Body Noise.

      Exterior

The Polo now looks much sharper from the front and although the rear doesn’t incorporate as many changes, its tautness is evident. The beat exterior and design

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

highline variant has all the required features, very comfortable, space is ok,upmarket interiors

The seats are supportive and are comfortable over long drives.

the new steering wheel. Feels good to hold, helps in ingress/egress, thumb contours on either side, the buttons for controlling the MFD on the right side of the steering (relocated from the right stalk) helps, voice command button works (if the phone supports it via Bluetooth

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

excellent performance and d engine sound  just amazing ,effortless gear change

      Ride Quality & Handling

Neat and plush. No oddities here with a mild body roll felt when on the pedal. The car does struggle a bit to hold its line but doesn't feel like a driving an RTC bus. No complaints at all.

      Final Words

Top of the hatchback segment , would recommend it to every hatch buyer

you feel secured in the cabin

      GADI MAIN DUM HAI BOSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Areas of improvement  rear legroom and atlest should have auto folding mirrors

Spare wheel is a steel rim (on the Highline variant as well)

Exterior There is by far no doubt that this vehiclw will impress you immediately. The aerodynamic styling, paint job, sturdy build and pleasant alloys just add to the beauty of the car. Anybody would just respect your car on the road and make way for it!! The bigger boot is a useful feature in this car which no other hatch would provide.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interiors of this car are way better than any other car. May be the HONDAs will come close by. A few accessories could have been included to just boost the sales of the vehicle such as GPS, EBD and EPS (available on the new 2015 Vento). The rear leg room needs a little improvement. I thought VW can extend the length of the car by a few millimeters may be close to 4 meters so that the rear leg room will improve. A rear AC vent would just make it a step better than the i20. Polo has one-touch auto-up and down anti-pinch windows, not available in i20. Polo has cornering lamps (the fog-lamp turns on automatically at night when the  headlamps are on and you put the indicator and turn the steering wheel towards the side you want to turn). This feature illuminates the road better towards the curve. The automatic climate control is also a useful thing to have.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox This one is sleak, well planted and thoughtfully designed. There is no lag at all and the engine is quite peppy. Its a nice idea to put int he new 1.5L Engine derived from the Vento. It beats out the i20 by miles in this aspect. I drove the i20 Elite before deciding to buy the Polo only due to this aspect. The mileage of the car is a bit on the lower side where other cars prove to be better. Better drive the car below 2000 rpm. The mileage comes close to 14.5 kmpl in Hyderabad traffic. On the highway, it is better (around 19). The best part is, if you turn off the A/C, the car will simply zoom like a rocket at just 1500 rpm and the fuel economy will also improve a lot.

Ride Quality & Handling Simply awesome. Just effortless, you wont get tired driving this car. Drive even at 160 Km/hr and you wont even know at what speed you are at.

Final Words After all we are all buying a car for the Engine and the safety, others are all useless. In this aspect I chose to buy the Polo over the i20 Elite Asta. And mind you, the Polo HL TDI costed me 8.9L with immediate delivery while the i20 costs 9.5L (with a 2 months wait period)

Areas of improvement   I thought VW can extend the length of the car by a few millimeters may be close to 4 meters so that the rear leg room will improve. A rear AC vent would just make it a step better than the i20. A few accessories could have been included to just boost the sales of the vehicle such as GPS, EBD, EPS, Arm rest / turn indicators on mirrors etc.

Definitely, VW has to increase the no. of service centers as well as some support to customers w.r.to Pick and drop, service cost of denting & painting, spares etc, which will cost you a bomb.

Exterior VW sell all their cars as secure design. The body is strong, but the front and back bumpers are lousy plastic that will just break with no effort. The plastic mold that hooks the bumper to the body is bad design. A small accident, while reversing the car at less than 5 KMPH, resulted in the entire plastic bumper coming out. I have not seen this poor quality in either the Fiat or Ford that I owned earlier.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) The interior is well designed. The seat is ergonomic and stereo gives rich output.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox The fuel economy is better than promised. I was told that Palace Cross VW fired Manoj [who under promised, but sold professionally] out for that reason. A refreshing change about car salesman behaviour.

Ride Quality & Handling Has the VW experience

Final Words The service sucks. The second biggest VW dealer needs 30 days to replace a bumper. The car is sitting in their service station from 11/02/15 and the expected delivery is 07/03/15. They have not given an alternative - that Maruti and others give, I was made to run around for three days and they need five days for service pick-up from residences. Just keep away

Areas of improvement WV needs to do something drastic about service or hopefully close their India operations.

Good car with excellent engine and smooth driveExtremely poor service

      Exterior

Exterior Very sturdy and strong gauge of metal being used. Smart aerodynamic which is quite commonly found with German Auto Makers.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

I have always liked the Volkswagen  in the four years of its existence. This German car’s solid build, high-tech drivetrains and understated yet classy design were always to ...Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

very nice n it gives avg speed good economy ger was good With 100bhp turbocharged petrol engine and dual-clutch automatic transmission, this hatchback is certainly not for the masses. Are you then one of the few looking for a niche product?

      Ride Quality & Handling

arlier this year, our resident German car fan, Venkat, spent some time with the refreshed Volkswagen . And although the VW managed to impress him with its quick shifting

      Final Words

With so much choice, deciding on what’s best for you can be a tedious task. And the Nissan Micra has only  added to the confusion. AUTO BILD INDIA decided to clear the air

      Areas of improvement

hight😎Our beloved MarcoPolo is certainly getting its fair share of driving and we took the car out on a jaunt amidst the clouds. Besides braving the potholes that already exist in the city ...

      Exterior

Looks very great, no magic , simple but very attaractive line, displays the build quality in its design.

      Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Top class , very good quality material used. much better than its competitors. Although the rear spece is less than I 20  , for me its OK. Comfort is very good. No back pain or stress at all on long journies

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Excellent, no regreats at all,Its is much better than swift and I 20, On Highways no vehicle is close to it.

The new 1.5L is a very very good than ols one with no noise in cabin and very silent on highways. In city also it drives very well, no need to change your gears frequently. A truly german class.

In city it delivers about 15-16 kmpl and always get a overall mileage of 18-20kmpl in 75% city and 25% highway use which is my daily commute, On 100% highways driving it gives about 22-23kmpl ( all figures are with AC on condition)

Gears are precise and smooth (But not smooth as Hyundai's)

      Ride Quality & Handling

Superb, its gives a pleasure to drive , The other very closed vehicle as per view are only swift and punto .

      Final Words

Although the rear spece is short but comparing with Swift and punto it is good , yes the I 20 is far ahead in this section but for me and my family with avg height of 5'6" it is not worrying.

Final-  101% satisfied owner of my beloved car

      Areas of improvement

Despite of emmission scandel , nothing to say more, just do not cheat customers, and try to reduce service cost , yes but I will say for a premium and superb class vehicle , you also need to empty your pocket a little bit more.

Exterior Highline (D) 1.5 gets black accents in the headlight and a dual blub setup which I personally thing is the biggest reason why the car does not look dated. The exterior is perfect blend of simplicity and tacky flash. The creases are subtle while their are chrome bits all around which just manage to not look overkilled. Smooth paint on the galvanised ensures that corrosion will never be the problem. With the iconic vw logo in the rear which doubles up to be the tail boot opener just feels built to last every time you use it.

I'm not a very big fan of the alloy wheels that you get as standard, they look kind of stale with the car's design.

The exhaust is hidden under the car but what is not hidden is the rear suspension. When noticed from rear, at a distance, the lower portion of the rear suspension can be see, which in my opinion looks bad and kind of ruins the aesthetic of the car, The Door handles and the orvm feel very strong and in my 3 years (40000 km) use, never really had an issue. The main reason why i choose to mention this point because previously i owned an i20 (2009-2015) and the door handles where pathetic in quality. during my use, i've seen 3 break.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Interior is where it will be a deal breaker for most.

I'll first start of with build quality-

Over all fit and finish is perfect, everything is well put together. no rattleing sounds, no weird noises. The interior layout is more of practicality than a wow factor. the factory fitted speakers are fantastic, punchy bass, clear mid notes and high notes. The arm rest is wrapped in this cloth like material which feels really good to touch and hold.

Interior Space Lets just say its best for 4 if all 4 are under 5'6''.

The rear seat is really small(atleast for me, i'm 5'8'').

The leg space in the rear is just not enough and the situation gets worse with the massssssive transmission tunnel which kills any hope for the third middle passenger in the rear. So if your regular use includes you entire family, you might want to check out other options (i20,Jazz etc)

The under thigh support is bad. Headrest will be okay for anyone upto 6'2''.

There are a total of 4 cupholders. 2 under the AC controls, right in front of gear lever and 2 on both the front doors.

The power window switch is illumiated in red(like the other lights in the interior), steering wheel controls also have backlight to it which rather looks really good in dark conditions.

coming to the steering wheel, which is leather wrapped and has a flat bottom, personally i think its the best feeling and looking steering wheel in the segment.

AC is perfect for our humid climate and it chills the cabin in a matter of minutes. 2 airbags and german quality ensures that safety will never be compromised.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox 1.5 TDI engine churns out 90 bhp and 230 nm of torque. the turbo kicks in around 1700-1800 rpm where the engine starts to feel alive. there is a really nice punchy pull from there to around 3600-4000 rpm after which the car feels a little nimble. The engine being a diesel is noisy but not alot. Inside the cabin, there is this constant low key vibration which you get in every diesel car.

At ideal, the engine with the windows rolled up does bother much but as you rev and cross 2600-3000 rpm, the vibration and the sound increases relatively.

I managed to get my polo from stand still to 100 kmph in about 11.2 seconds, Which to be honest is good enough(Faster than all the rivals except ford figo).

If you want more performance, you should look for polo gt tsi or tdi which have an extra 15 bhp and more 30 nm of torque(Also check out Punto Abarth).

The gearbox is a delight, crisp slotting and short throw, Feels nice and sturdy. But getting used to the reverse gear position does take a little time.

Clutch is a little messed up. it is on the heavier side(like most diesel cars) but vw clutches are notoriously known for premature wear.

I have already got my clutch plate and the flywheel changed at around 20000km after a complete clutch failure and now at 40000km, it has started to feel out of place already.

      Fuel economy-

If driven sanely, the car would love to give you 12 upwards in stop and go traffic and if you remove stop and go traffic from the equation, be surprised to see north of 17-19. The max I have achieved is 26kmpl when driven at 60 kmph in the 5th gear for more than 10-12 km.

Overall engine is really good. faaaar better than fait sourced engines used in maruti suzuki cars and better than crdi of Hyundai. No breakdown other than the clutch failure at 20000km.

Ride Quality & Handling Ride quality is a mix bag. you have soft suspension so bumps are soaked in nice, which is very important for our road conditions and that same soft suspension kills a little of the driving pleasure. the body has a little road and take a turn a little sharp and you'll hear the tyres squeel with pain.

The suspension has a decent life but mine needed replacement at 38000km. This car is not a bad place to be in if city commutes are the ideal use.

Final Words Like I said, blend of german engineering and compromises. Priced higher than jazz, figo, swift, baleno and new i20, you get the german built quality and a little bit of brand premiumness but lacks alot of featurs like auto dimming rear view mirror, apple car play, android auto, sunroof, auto headlamps and wipers.

Areas of improvement Better equipment list would clearly fetch more customers as we indians love useless features.

Fantastic car to drive. (15 kmpl in city if driven sanely), robust build, lovely fit and finish.Brakes are not very pinchy. Spare parts are 30-40% more expensive than other brands.

Elite Motor provides very poor service, i would recommend if some one looking to buy Volkswagen please don't consider this car as service is very poor and maintenance is very high. i have bought this car 3 years back and in 3rd service i have paid 22K and moreover there was another 20K work suggested by dealer. Every service is nightmare for me as i have to spend further 10-15 days to get back to my normal life. Every time Elite motor has ensured me that i have to run behind them to get the things corrected after service. For example... 1- 2nd service; i noticed damage/scratch in my car body which highlighted to dealer and raised complain but finally nothing has happened. 2- 3rd service: battery is worn out just after 10 days of service even after dealer has given me report that battery is in good condition while taking delivery. Now i have asked dealer to prove me that this battery belongs to me which he has no answer. it seems some fishy. i will highly recommend to all that please be away from Volkswagen till the time they have dealer like Elite Motors, Hosur road, Bangalore.

I'm from Bangalore. Volkswagen has to improve the service. No technical expertise! Especially they had done a very bad job in dieselgate and there was no solution for the engine noise post the software update...
