Exterior It is understated elegance. Have heard a lot of views mentioning it looks v close to Vento. I can tell you that in flesh it is nothing like it at all. The alloys are beautiful.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Great space & features. The only misses I would have expected of a car costing 20 L is ACC, Sun/moon roof & push button start.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Excellent torque wave. DSG is a mind reader & paddle shifters make it a joy to drive.

Ride Quality & Handling It is on the firm side unlike the japs & korean cars. But that flattens out beyond speeds of 30 kmph. It also means an excellent high speed stability.

Final Words Maybe 75K more expensive than it should have been but overall an excellent buy. There are a lot of features in the car which are not there in the spec sheet (wake up VW) - cornering lamps, boarding lamps, ground clearance is 159 mm not 139 mm as mentioned in the borchure.

Exterior : Great styling, Good aerodynamics, Superb paint job & very good fit & finish.

 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) : Interior needs serious improvement. Not suited for car of this price tag. Competition offer much better interior at the same price tag. Bluetooth should be included in music system.

 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox : Great engine, great gear box, great performance, Great safety

 

Ride Quality & Handling : Excellent handling, superb suspension, Great breaks, ABS & EBD really works seriously. Fun to drive car.

 

Final Words : VW has to seriously work on AC or may be talk to Toyota for learning AC technology. Toyota has best AC technology for our country.

 

Areas of improvement  : AC  & after sales service, Wiring on engine has to be secured with metal sleeves as I have experience rat problem twice on my car cutting wire for CAM sensor and causing start up problem. VW also has to reduce cost of spares and may be provice with comprehensive maintenance contract like other manufacturers.

Exterior Killing rear tailights and bumper, front could have been better, nice head lamps as well.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Excellent, rear ac is little weak.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox What else I could have asked for? advise drivers to use high speed diesel atleast for first year.

Ride Quality & Handling Superb pickup, leaves other far behind, true German beast!

Final Words Thank you VW for bringing this legendery vehicle to India. Excellent value for money.

Areas of improvement Front looks cant be same as Vento and Polo which are much cheaper compared to Jetta, must have moon roof, gps should have been provide for vehicle costing over 20 lacks. USB connectivity to music system should also have been provided. Horn should have been different from what VW fits on Skoda. If you switch on the ignition (without starting the car) and keep it for 1 min or and then try to start the engine the system does not allow you to do so. This is very annoying especically in crowded cities like Bangalore. Why do you need to press clutch to start engine?

Exterior Elegant, sportive  Superb quality alloy wheels, Solid build.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) High quality interior plastics and seat leather, Excellent fit and finish, Instrument cluster box

Features True  It lacks blutooth connectivity & dual zone climate control.  But it's got loads of features other cars in the segment haven't got..  Day-time running lights/ Automatic parking lights/ 8- Airbags/ Engine immobleiser.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Stiff ride at low speeds and a bit of lag in the 2nd gear But at high speeds the car dosen't drive It flies. Very powerful Engine 140bhp@4000 RPM.  And still good economy of 15 KM/L.

Ride Quality & Handling Superb high speed ride quality. Along with features like the ESP, ASR, Traction control, It stayes grounded onto it's track even at very speeds.Handling is very easy thanks to the electric steering wheel--- adjusts to speed.

Final Words Excellent car with German engineering. Too bad many of us Indiand do not realise this. Many critics have written negative reviews which are not true. So many features which other cars in the segment lack.  But  a bit expensive!!!

Areas of improvement SERVICE!!!!! A good car with bad service is dissapointing.

Awesome subltle lines gives the car a very classy look & feel. May not appeal to many but certainly will appeal to those with class. One feels important while driving and others look up to the car as an Audi or BMW of sorts.

Very comfortable and spacy. Overall, gives a rich look and feel...no regrets!

A beast on the road and roars with power when needed. Love the automatic DSG and truly gives German performance on Indian roads. Build quality is heavy and the doors close with a re assuring 'thud' and not a clinky 'thuk'. No compromise on safety features including airbags et al.

Awesome handling and one feels very safe while driving. No comparison to cheap looking 'Chinese' cars like Cruze or Elantra!

Love it and if you're looking for class, performance, fuel economy and a feel good factor, buy it!

Basics like bluetooth and GPS should be inbuilt. Overall, go for it...it's amazing to drive and makes you feel proud!

Final Words

Over all not satisfied with the service response of the company.. neither the on road assistance nor the service agent response. Service Centre need time for every work and use to take time upto 10 days for small-small work or accessory you ask them. I will definitely never prefer this brand in future nor refer to anyone known to me.

Areas of improvement  

Its AC has a Big problem which i am also facing and many more other then me but company is not positively responding for the same. Usually I never seen problem of Compressor in any of my last four cars but seriously not ment for Indian Market where we have 50 C Temperature.

Best seating position available infact the rear seat positioning is much better than passat,audi A4 ,A6 ,the bmws and some of the mercs. Head rest of the rear seats feels a bit hard during long drive(thats what my cousin says).got lot of thigh support than any other car in the market.

 I love to use the paddle shifters . This car obviously gives me the feel of driving a sports car. Had a race with a BMW 5 series on banglore mysore highway and touched the 200 kmph mark with ease beating it. Its also giving me a descent fuel economy also.

Final Words

 If dont have the budget of buying a BMW, go for this car and you wont regret....i have an Audi A4 but trust me i love my jetta more ......this was the best buy till date in my life.

Areas of improvement  

 Interior colour combination,should have been provided with a flat bottom steering wheels like those in the new polos.

 good utilisation of space and decent interiors. Not as flashy as Civic but decent and aristrocratic

Unmatched engine and Drive but AC is 3rd class.

I am amazeed that in a 2 litre engine car the AC is not able to cool the back seat. U will always come out sweaty and cursing the volkswagen because even my Honda City or ford fiesta had a better AC and without noise pollution as in Jetta..

I u live in a hot place like me (DELHI) then please ensure that u fit another cooler in your car or u will feel like throwing yourself out of this car.

As for Audio please buy the audio of fabia or Honda jazz equivalent car to have a better Audio. Volkwagen is really cheap in these 2 features. Worst AC which keeps on tripping fter every 5 minutes and does not work if you are in traffic becuse it stops working when u need it the most i.e. when ur car is slow and in a jam...

 Car is Excellent but u should ask for aan external AC otherwise u won't be able to drive it in DELHi or Rajasthan...It is good for cool cities.

excellent engine, good seats and classy interior.Worst AC, Bad Audio system.

Exterior looks really vey huge and good ,it wil never feel outdated(like fludic design or laura) for the next 7-8 years. 

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) easily can accomdate 5 on board and good lastic used acoording to indian condition , suerb a/c (no tints) 

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox fuel efficiency in a crowdedcity like delhi is 13-14 worst 11(once) and on highways simply 20 , despite a powerful engine fe is out of d world (a4 also shares the same 140 ps engine) good gearbox too

Ride Quality & Handling ride is a bit stiff under 40 kmph but when u cross it , its simply the best (laura fluence cruze xuv500 corolla) the handling is like a german car . much better than the useless toyota altis D only 1.4 cc horrible car to drive 

Final Words the best car if u havea budget of 14 -20 L

Areas of improvement armrest ,bigger dead pedal (not  major issues).
