Disclaimer: This is my personal experience and not promoting any brand, will not be responsible for any form of using this information. I have purchased a VW Ameo Highline top end last yeat December at Hosur and drove almost 18K. Performance and response was like. Getting an average milege of 18 - 20 (which is in City limit). Driving at 100kms is not felt like so and very quite & easy to drive. Over taking is never been a problem. Engine response excellent when you would like to over take. Checked some of the vehicle in this segment but in my first look finalized with Ameo. Never felt tired of driving irrespective ofthe kms :).
At 15K, first service charge alone cost me 12.5, spares are costly but it's ok (Fog lamp is 1K). I love my VW Ameo.
Final Words Felt like value for money.
Areas of improvement Maintanence cost (Service charge alone 12.K + any spares). There should be many service centers (In blore it takes min of a week to get an appointment).
Suspension should be improved. There is a huge gap beneath the engine which makes very much comfortable for the rodents to enter easily into the engine area. Closing option for Rear AC vents if not required (currently only you can change the direction).
The high priority one is the rail which comes under the chase (not sure about the technical name) should be bigger enough or kept near to the corner to avoid damage with the stones. (In dark i took a right turn not knowing a bigger stone and it chewed the right corner exactly under the driver seat, that material looks like a rubber).
