5.0 Exterior | 4.0 Comfort | 5.0 Performance |
4.0 Fuel Economy | 5.0 Value for Money |
Exterior It looks like a regular Polo, but a sedan vehicle, overall it has good looks and you can't differentiate which car it is "Polo/Ameo/Vento" when it is seen from front. Because all these vehicles looks same from the front nose to the rear doors.
Very Stylish, more linear bumpers, well designed headlights and chrome finish, which is heavily influenced by the likes of Polo and Vento.
Roof is little lower when comapred with Polo and Vento, with which the Sedan look has come.
Boot looks chopped off with a sharp/flat shape and as everyone says "between the lights to number plate they borrowed it from skoda". Boot space is 330lts and the loading aperture is wide, we can load luggage freely.
Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Quality of the intererior materials is no match with any vehicle in this segment, that's why "Volkswagen only can build a VW", you can see that video in youtube. No one can complaint about this, i can challenge.... You will have the "Paisa vasool feeling", touch and feel the quality. Dashborad will be good with dual-tone, chrome finish and has very cool looks with flat-bottom stering.
This car has the best in class features when you compare with its rivals in this segment. Touchscreen Infotainment, Bluetooth, USB, SD Card, iPOD and MirrorLink connectivity. Two airbags and ABS are standard across all the variants. Automatic rain sensing wipers, auto climate contol, Rear AC vent, reverse parking camera with sensors, cruise control, steering controls, voice command, driver armrest, cool glovebox, etc...
Space and comfort is good, but rear seat space is above okay - Due to the centre tunnel in rear it eats the foot space to acommodate three people freely. I dont have any complaint about space, we have medium sized people in our family and they didnt felt any problem at all. Only Aspire has more leg room space in this segment. When compared with others "Ameo can be in par with them."
Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox So far it is Good, it has only 3-cylinder engine but still it is powerful one. Fuel economy is okay, in city I get 15kmpl and I has to check on highway. Gearbox is smooth and one needs to adjust with controls, " as the controls are in opposite sides in VW - you get left or right controls confusion". Where i saw lot of people put wipers instead of indicators and viceversa. My friend's car Ameo CL has lot of engine noise, but i didnt notice it in my car (strange, is n't it).
Ride Quality & Handling Handling is Solid and safe, steering&brakes are perfect and there was no sound from engine. As the kerb weight is good, car will be very stable and strong on ground even if you go speed. It has galvanised steel body enclosed by a laser-welded roof fortifies, you can see in youtube.
Final Words I have seen several biased reviews from the autoportals. But i can say, all they have mentioned is not true and can be a paid reviews from other manufacturers. Ameo is far-far better than any other vehicles in the segment with the best in-class features. I have visited all showrooms and reserached on lot of vehicles but "I can prouldly say now that i own a VW - It is a Right Vehicle with Very Good features and Quality".
Areas of improvement Not much, as the rear center tunnel occupies the space, they can provide a rear armrest. Rear headlights and model has to be little stylish instead of flat shape.
Good ride, build quality, reverse parking camera, front look and best in class features..Rear end looks
